I'd read that World's Best cat litter had a pungent "barnyard" smell, but I was like, "How bad can it be?" Y'all, it's bad. It'll make your house smell like a horse stall. I first purchased this product as my elderly cat (20) started having his regular clay litter tracking all over the house and clumping terribly to his paws. I have been buying this litter for over 10 years, however I won't be buying this product anymore. They have changed this product over the years, but the last 3 bags I bought just did it for me. This is great at clumping for a non-clay litter, it doesn't track around the house as much as other softwood litters which saves a lot of vacuuming. People that are used to clay litters might be disappointed but I'm prepared to sacrifice a bit of vacuuming for the odour control. Speaking of which, this litter smells quite strongly. I'd agree with the reviews that accuse it of smelling a bit on the chemical side. Because of that, I can't outright replace the softwood litter i normally use. (that litter at least smells identifibly of wood - i'm not really sure what 'worlds best' smells of). The dust free claim i'd agree with - looks like they suck it all out when they seal the bags. I was so excited for this litter as I have been trying to find an alternative for clay. I wanted to love it so much and kept making excuses but my cats and I absolutely hate this litter. I thought it clumped pretty well and tracked a little bit less but the smell was so strong and terrible it gave me a headache. This is even in our covered litter box that has a carbon filter! It definitely covers the smell of the urine as the litter itself from the get go has such a strong smell to it that even the closet it is stored in smells terrible. My cats tried to use it but my youngest has completely started peeing and pooping everywhere to avoid the litter box. If you cast is super sensitive or happens to be declawed, then I would not recommend this variety. This will not prevent cats from spreading litter every where if they are exuberante diggers. Nor will it prevent family members from sifting outside of the litter box when it is scooped. This is a flushable litter. While you may not flush clumps down the toilet, this gives peace of mind, that if some does go down the drain, it will not affect your plumbing. There is some dust but MUCH less than other brands. However, when there is dust accumulation is soooo easy to clean up. When you spray with whatever cleaner, it does not form concrete that ... MoreSorry not photos. In the past I’ve used an inexpensive, very good clumping clay litter, however it was very dusty, tracked everywhere, and was SO heavy to carry into and out of the house. I went looking for something better, tried a few options before getting to the World's Best, which I’d avoided because of the cost. Imagine my delight to discover that it clumps extremely well, seems to be dust-free, and tracks far less than my old brand. AND - it is naturally sweet smelling. Bonus! As for the cost? The 'quick clumping' claim doesn't work so well when the waste just sits on top of it. It was also harder to clean out since the chunks of unused litter didn't quite filter through my current litter box shovel, which isn't a problem for smaller grained solutions. With no scent, there also wasn't much odor control so now that I'm back in the office, I come home to a less appealing apartment at the end of the day. The one thing this litter has going for it is that because it's too heavy for my cat's liking, it stays put in the little box and therefore produces very little dust. Otherwise, I can't say that I cared much for it (which is a shame since there was a $5 off coupon attached to the bag) and will be sticking with a more fragrant, lightweight option in the future.

For whatever reason the formula changed or whatever, I was constantly having to vacuum and clean the home, counter tops, even wipe down my black cat who would be covered in nasty litter dust his face and legs. I would find it in clusters throughout the house. I didn’t realize how bad it had gotten until this orange bag came around. Not only is is true low tracking it is true low dust. I know this is true because I no longer have to vacuum multiple times a day and my black cat no longer needs a dusting after he uses the litter box. He seemed just okay with it. After this experience with our first unscented litter, I think we both agree that we prefer scented litter, and strongly scented at that! We both really like The World's Best Cat Litter brand and the litter quality is exceptional. It clumps really really well and very quickly. I noticed a firm hold just 1 to 2 minutes after urination. Oppositely, Even the smaller chunks that did manage to escape, which weren't many, were not terribly small and tidious, and still large enough where scooping was possible. Since the litter was unscented, I could smell some odor but very mildly and this was sort of shocking because I would have thought odor would be constant and strong with unscented litter, so WBCL has some insanely awesome odor blockers regardless if scented or not. Lastly, dust clouds were completely non-existent and post use trackage was at an all time low, thankfully so because my kitty boy typically produces litter crazed surroundings!
