I just bought this mower today. I charged the batteries to full and started mowing my front yard. Everything was great, but when I moved to the back yard, the mower wouldn't start again. The batteries had plenty of charge but I'm assuming they overheated. I waited 45 minutes then the mower started again. I did the back and when I finished, I tried to start the mower again. Nope! Wouldn't start.My yard is not big, maybe 15 minutes of mowing the front overheated it. This just doesn't sound normal to me. I can't stop to open a gate, move a hose or talk to someone without needing to wait 45 minutes before I can start the mower again.

I’ve had this for 2 years now - and have since bought a few more Worx products to share the 20v platform. This mower is really much too small for us but it does a good job, especially around tight areas. I have been disappointed with battery life - even with two pairs, you don’t really get a lot of time between charges. But after purchasing a larger mower from another manufacturer I’ve come to appreciate this one a bit more, it’s small but fairly powerful for what it is.The main problem with this model is that the height selector switch is total garbage, if you knock into anything or even run over some bumps it will fall to the shortest setting and most likely stall out. The other thing is the handles are weak, cheap metal, and are now bending so low it’s almost ... Bought mine in 2020 and it worked fine. Battery generally lasted for one cut of front and back yard. Had enough power to deal with longer grass pretty well. However, when I went to use it this spring it would not work. Contacted Worx and they covered it under warranty! Fantastic! But when they sent the replacement they sent the lower 13 inch model. If I had wanted the 13 inch model I would have bought that one in the first place. Narrower cutting path. Smaller grass bag. So, kudos to Worx for replacing it but it should have been the same model. Hence the 3 stars.

It cuts very well with the bag or without. It mulches the grass very well if you don't want to bag it! I always look at Worx products when I am wanting something new in lawn care. Excellent machine. Effective, efficient, and maneuverable. The Worx 2-in-1 2x20V lawn mower is so much lighter than other brands making it easier to use in small yards. The batteries are long lasting giving you much operational time between charges thanks to the 4Ah rating. I can cut my lawn multiple times between charges. The batteries may also be used in other Worx branded tools such as the chain saw and trimmer.
To be fair, I got this very cheap "as is" since one battery was supposedly dead. Took it home and managed to revive the battery.Anyway, it doesn't mow exactly like a gas powered mower. Definitely less power to lift up the grass perfectly. And mulching is more like cutting and leaving, the grass. It does not get mulched very much.BUT... It doesn't have to. This mower is so light that it doesn't take much thinking to just go outside and cut. I find myself cutting more often since it's lightweight and easy to operate.I will say that the included batteries last pretty long, but I'll order a bigger set just to be able to finish everything in one take. I needed a new lawnmower so took a chance on this WORX 17" electric mower. I am so impressed with this thing! It is so lightweight, my neighbours laugh at me because I can carry it around with one hand when the batteries aren't in it -- but this thing packs a punch! I have it set on the 'turbo' setting and it powers up as needed for higher grass then powers lower for low grass. One charge even on turbo mode gets me through my entire area -- I'm in a residential townhouse so I have a front lawn, side lawn, and medium sized back lawn. It cuts evenly and powers through the taller grass with ease. Charging is a breeze, it takes about 2 hours and I'm ready to go for the next time.
This is a great little lawnmower! Read a bunch of the reviews prior to purchasing. Lawnmower is light weight and easy to handle. Particularly the shape of the actual handle was important. Flat. Not like all the ones that raise up. And the height of the handle compared to body. I am 6 ft. tall and its the perfect height. Size of the lawn is a little under 5500 square feet and the two batteries fully charged complete the job with at least 2 bars of 5 for charge left. Even if grass is long. The bag is easy to use and empty. And the unit was easy to assemble. Very pleased with this product.
