First thing I noticed was no "Wrangler" badge / patch on the outside of shorts, unlike the same carpenter pants. Its on the inside waistband and I thought that was unusual. Love the look and feel of the 100% cotton. Will definitely purchase again

Hard to find. Good fit, nice feeling denim, and no stretchy fabric (a good thing, I don't like stretchy fabric.) I have been wearing these shorts for the last 15+ years. Please do not discontinue unless you have something better at a similar price.Rear left pocket is the weakest point. Failure always starts there, every time.
I'd like to say I love them but they are dramatically smaller than shorts made from a different fabric. I ordered three pairs of carpenter shorts - all of different colors and fabrics. The denim styles fit fine but this grey one was way too small. Ordered a larger size but again too small. Sent these back to exchange for larger size. What a hassle.
I had purchased, some years ago, this short and have enjoyed them for work and play. I was very happy to find them still selling and purchased 2 more. They fit Perfectly. I ordered other Carpenter style one but didn't realize they are the stretch fit. They just stretch too much for me so.....I will be returning those 3 pair for 3 more of these original/Authentic Carpenter shorts.I did look at some of the other Carpenter styles but they show to be made of 84% Cotton, 15% Polyester, 1% Spandex. I prefer the 100% cotton and definitely no spandex needed.
I ordered jeans, these shorts, another pair of shorts & jeans shorts. They were all a 40 waist. The jeans shorts were perfect. The jeans were too big ( both pair). The 2pair of cloth shorts were too tight. So evidently 40 waist means very little. Otherwise, they are well-made & a good value. But they have to cone back. The next size up would be huge.
wish it had small pockets on left side also... I have a horse barn and I carry some item all the time... hoof pick, small flashlight. marker, pocket knife, etcoutstanding price for the quality...
