(402 reviews)

Since 1947, Wrangler jeans have been a cowboy-approved wardrobe staple. Inspired by our Western heritage, these Wrangler Retro jeans combine our most iconic features with contemporary fits and washes. This updated classic features the same worn leather patch with our rope logo, 'W' stitching on the back pockets, and five-pocket styling. These men's slim bootcut jeans feature a streamlined silhouette through the seat, thigh, and knee, but the leg widens from the knee downward, which is good news for boots. Love the style and cut on this jean. Just wish there was a way to do an online exchange when something was on sale and I had to send them back. The pocket patch was
crooked and the only option I had was to send them in for a refund and not an exchange. So then to re-purchase them I had to pay full price compared to the sale price I got
them at, so I decided to not get a replacement and just wait for the next sale. The only option was to pick a different size, not report as defective and get a replacement.Other
than that, great jeans when it all works out! ;)

My husband and boys have been wearing Wranglers since the beginning of time... We bought this particular pair for my husband because they fit him nicely... He works
outside every day ranching and he is also the water master. He has gone through so many pairs of these... he only wears them for a little while, and then they rip right by the
pockets every time! We started just saving them for going somewhere nice and they even rip after he has worn them for that. I have sewn them up and then I finally decided
that that's enough and we are going to find a different pair of jeans that will be tougher. Sorry Wrangler we have always been a big fan but not of these particular jeans.

The fabric around the front pockets became a bit frayed, but that only added to their character. Finally, the fabric on the front panels next to the zippers split on both pairs. Rather than patch them, I'm simply buying two more pairs, again in 100% cotton.... Show more

Quality for the price has really gone down
2 March 2024
I received 3 pairs of Wrangler Retro Slim Boots for my birthday a little over 6 months ago and they have all torn at the pockets, the front, on the knee. I don't wear them every day as I work in an office so just really on Fridays. You can't imagine the embarrassment I experienced this week when I was wearing these jeans and had a blow out. They split exactly at the seam. Like I said I don't work physically demanding in them all I did was hop down from a few feet up and head a loud rip. I had to leave work early. I used to love the old school wranglers. They would last for years and cost less than half of these. With some running almost 75-80 with tax I would expect better.... Show more

Sadly Disappointed after 6 months of wear
10 July 2024
Terrific at first but disappointing months later. The seams are separating due to poor quality of the material. It's hard to even characterize it as denim because there's so much stretch in the material. So, six months after initial purchase I have to get it mended in 3 places. These pants were only worn to school - nothing that would tax them. If you're looking for Wrangler products (and the full Wrangler denim jacket is a great example of sturdy and true denim material) avoid the stretch denims - many are labeled as "Retro".... Show more

Tearing from light to normal wear.
20 June 2024
I've loved the retros for years, my first few pairs when the first came out were tough, good looking and lasted. But over the past couple years, I haven't had a pair last more than a few months because they rip at the back pockets like clockwork, my newest pair has only lasted a month, they still look brand new. Disappointed is about the nicest thing I can say about them at this point. If you decide to pick a pair up, you're going to love them, just don't sit down or use the back pockets for anything. It really sucks because I can't find any other jeans that look, feel or fit as good as these, but can't justify spending that kind of money that frequently.... Show more

Arrived within a few days. The fit was I feel true to size. I wear a 38 waist and usually when I get other styles or brands there are actually a 40 inch waist. These measured to what was printed on the label. They are lighter weight than the Premium Performance 47 MWZ and Original 13MWZ. Also like the wider cut legs at the bottom, more like the original boot cut. I’ll see how they do and hopefully order another pair. Jury is still out on the durability.... Show more

Too tight
22 April 2024
You can see I ordered two pair of the retro slim boot cut jeans. I put the other pair on first and they fit great. I took the tags off this pair -- thinking they were going to be exactly the same. When tried to put this pair on they will not fit. I read the return policy and it said the tags had to be attached. I still have the tags but I took them off before I ever tried them on. That's my fault. I should've read the return policy before I tried them on. Maybe I can find someone that can wear these and I can give them away.Other than that I love the other pair that fits.... Worst built pair of jeans i've ever owned
24 January 2024
I bought these, needing a fresh pair of jeans that fit well, and after trying these on, they fit that bill. Other than being made with spandex, I liked them a lot (but it seams like everybody is going to stretchy jeans these days). However, after wearing them and washing them maybe 5 times, they blew out 2 holes by the rivets at the back pockets. Now, i work manual labor for a living and i wear dickies and carhartt duck canvas pants, but that's not what i was doing with these jeans. These were my "throw on some boots and a pearl snap shirt and go to dinner" jeans, so not exactly strenuous wear, and they couldn't make it past 5 wears and washes. I paid full price for these, over $60. This is embarrasing, and will be the last pair of Wrangler jeans i buy. Buyer beware.... Show more

Yes, I would buy these jeans again... and again.
18 February 2023
I have bought these Wrangler Retro Slim Fit, Bootcut Jeans again and again. I bought my first two pairs in a western supply store in Riverton, Wyoming. At the time, I was the transportation coordinator for the world's largest outdoor education school, and I needed jeans that I could absolutely depend on while driving and working on large vehicles in Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and Utah.I especially like their lower rise in the waist, which is much more comfortable for me than higher-waist jeans. Their slim-cut legs are also more comfortable because there is less airiness in cold weather, yet they allow room for an underlayer of thermal underwear. And their bootcut was mandatory to accommodate the hiking boots I wore daily. After twelve years, I finally had to ... MoreI have bought these Wrangler Retro Slim Fit, Bootcut Jeans again and again.
