A product that works as advertised!
I really do like these socks and wouldn’t consider taking any trip with a lot of walking and hiking without these in my pack. I bought these at MEC on a whim and find they work exactly as advertised. They keep your feet relatively cool, and I have never had a blister while wearing these socks – even in extreme hot weather. They really take the sting out of walking in hot weather. They are also extremely durable. I have Coolmesh 1 socks that I have had for years, and they are still in fairly good shape.I really only have two minor complaints. The large (foot sizes 7-12) are a little bit snug for my size 11.5 feet. I think these socks were made for walking and running, but they are not overly comfortable around the house. The socks also don’t wash very well. I carry ... MoreI really do like these socks and wouldn’t consider taking any trip with a lot of walking and hiking without these in my pack. Even in a hot water cycle, the white socks tend always look a little dirty. The positives of this product far outweigh any negatives. This is an excellent product that works exactly as advertised.... Comfy, but shrinks, dont last
Have been using these for the past 8 years or so. I used to use petroleum jelly to reduce blisters on longer (over 15 mile) day hikes. I dont with these, and the two-layer design makes it comfortable. The earlier ones were quite sturdy, but the later ones are terrible. They shrink with each wash, and has holes after using a few times. If you can afford to buy a new pair every month, or if you need one for a particular hike or a race, go for it. Otherwise, maybe get liner socks and some other good pair.... Show more

Double Layer All the Way
I tried theses out for hiking and now I have three pairs and they're the only socks I wear hiking. I started out wearing just wool socks but needed a solution for the hot spots on my feet before they turned into blisters, so I added silk liner socks underneath. The hot spots went away, but it was too bulky and the tips of my toes got sore rubbing against everything.I was at REI shopping for a new sock system when I stumbled on the WrightSock double layer socks. I picked up the CoolMesh II because of the shorter height. They work beautifully! My toes have plenty of room and I have never felt hot spots with the built-in liner.I wear them on daily hikes and I wore them on my recent 38 mile backpacking trip and have no complaints.... Excellent from high intensity interval training
I bought these socks to wear in my Metcon 7s at the gym during heavy lifting and interval training. For the interval training in particular, these socks are well suited and work well. They keep the foot dry which in turn keeps the sole of the show dry and less slippery. The socks are exceedingly comfortable. I bought them with my quarterly dividend as a splurg. I am glad that I did. I will buy more. I recommend them without hesitation.... Show more

Great socks!
I orginally purchased a pair of these socks 2 years ago because they stated "guaranteed no blisters or your money back." I remember saying to myself "yeah right." Well I can eat my words, cause I have never experienced a blister while wearing them: hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing, playing basketball, etc. I would highly recommend you giving them a try for yourself. They are also comfortable just lounging around. They definitely have me as a fan! Give them a try and I am sure you will be a fun too!... Show more

Not the same quality as before
I purchased two pairs of these socks years ago and loved, loved, loved them. Wore them to pieces.I purchased two news pairs. The socks felt wonderful on my feet. But then I hiked in them and got blisters. Two full blisters (pinky and big toe) and one almost on the other foot. What happened? I had my boots for years. It was the socks. I turned them inside out and realized that it was the toe seam. The finish of toe seams (the end of the seam row) was smooth in the old socks. In the new ones it was a bump of seamage which rubbed on my feet and caused the blisters. I have to return theseand find new socks. Also, while I didn't have an issue with this on a short hike, there is ribbing in the sock body that wasn't there before. Probably the worst socks I've ever purchased
I was really looking for some durable, yet comfortable socks for frequent walking/hiking in Europe. I purchased these socks in March 2024, and now by the end of July I'm already throwing them in the garbage. They looked great, and seemed comfortable at first.... but holes developed at the toes and the arch. Very disappointed.... Show more

Really work as advertised!
I like the fact that these socks are made in the USA.We just hiked from our Dungeness Recreation Area campsite to the Dungeness lighthouse, 11 miles round trip. Ideally, one walks on the wet sand instead of rocks, seaweed and sand, but tides determine how easy it is. On this hike, we aimed to hike on wet sand, but waves came up over my Keen waterproof boots and washed inside. After I drained the water from inside my boots and squeezed the water out of my socks, I hiked over 5 miles over rocks and seaweed without getting any blisters!... Show more

Shrink factor
I'm surprised by all the rave reviews without mention of the line dry/tumble dry no heat only directions. I bought these socks for my husband as he wanted some light summer hiking socks. When they arrived I read the directions for care and realized you can't dry with heat which I knew probably wouldn't last for us. Regardless, I gave it a go, I washed in cold/line dried but they still shrank slightly, and bunched from the inner layer shrinking more so, which seemed okay at first. He wore them once then washed/dried on low heat and they are now about half the original size/laughably inches too small. They seem like good quality but I'm not sure it's worth the hassle.... Work great, only ones I now trust.
I've been using these for about 5 years now after getting back into backpacking. I'm always trying out new gear, even stuff I know works fine like the Wrightsocks. This year did about a 70 mile trip and tried another brand to start. 8 hours and 10 miles into the first day start feeling a blisters in both feet due to moisture buildup. It was a bit too late at that point, but changed to the Wrightsocks, no blister issues the rest of the trip. Even wet didn't have any issues. Last time I'm going to try an alternative brand of socks at this point, if it's working great no reason to change.... Show more
