I absolutely adore these socks. They’re incredibly comfortable, breathable, and have never chafed or rubbed no matter the conditions or what kind of shoes I’m wearing. They air dry quickly and are very odor resistant. I have to take one star off, however, because they just do not last as long as I would like them to with heavy wear.I brought three pairs on a 2 & 1/2 month trip across Southeast Asia. They were amazing in the heat and humidity, and air dried overnight very well. However, they are already showing signs of wear and have holes on the soles and near the toes. I will still continue to buy these because of how great they are for all types of weather and activities, but I wish they held up longer than just two months of wear. Would still recommend.

I am on my feet all day at work. I also am an avid hiker. These Coolmesh socks are phenomenal! They are lightweight and super comfortable. I never get a hotspot when I wear them. I can't wait to take them hiking on a longer trip. If you are looking for comfort and coolness, try these.

These have been my year round go-to socks for nearly 20 years. I recently bought more, despite some of the warnings from other users. I learned the hard way! These are not the same socks at all! My tried and trusted best ever socks have been de-contented to the point of useless.... Wrightsock won't get another chance to fool this customer.

These do NOT work well for me for running or hiking. They are soft and comfortable for wearing around the house, and maybe around town. But when I'm active, I feel like my feet are sliding around inside my running shoes (I assume this is due to the double-layer construction). Once they get sweaty or wet from water crossings, they seem clammy and clingy. I've only done short runs and hikes (5-6 miles), and they were unpleasant. I can't imagine doing longer runs in them. No blisters on the shorter efforts, but I gotta believe I'd have some on longer efforts. I love the idea of recycled polyester, and I keep trying it, but it never works for me. I definitely will not buy these again and would not recommend them.
I was really looking for some durable, yet comfortable socks for frequent walking/hiking in Europe. I purchased these socks in March 2024, and now by the end of July I'm already throwing them in the garbage. They looked great, and seemed comfortable at first.... but holes developed at the toes and the arch. Very disappointed.
I have been wearing the double layer quarter height Wrightsocks for almost 20 years for ultras and multi-day adventure races without getting a blister. The durability of the socks used to be measured in months; unfortunately, over the last approximately 3 years, the socks last only weeks. The socks now get holes in the heel and forefoot. For whatever reason, the durability of the socks has significantly decreased (my shoe type, gait, and physical size are unchanged).
I purchased 10 pair last July to replace old ones which were more than 5 years old and finally worn out. I rotate the new socks as usual but am getting holes developing on the ball of the foot and heel areas, after only 9 months of use. I have thrown one sock out already and another is retired today. Since two have failed I decided to submit a review.Given the premium price of these socks and historical performance of prior versions this is not acceptable wear. They are as comfortable as prior versions which I have purchased for over 20 years. I will be contacting Wright Sock about this durability issue.

I'm really picky about socks- my feet are always too hot, too sensitive (wool can get itchy), too sweaty. But these socks? They're cozy, but also cool, and they don't irritate my skin like all these microfiber socks do. They stay on and don't twist. I bought this Coolmesh II version last month for a camping trip, and love them every bit as much as my first pair.I'm thinking about ditching my cat and rainbow novelty socks and just wearing these every day. They don't have cats or rainbows on them (Hint hint, Wrightsock, are you reading this?) but they're the only socks I want to wear anymore.I am a size 7 shoe (women's) and the size Small fits ... These socks wear out VERY quickly. I liked them so much that I ended up buying a total of 7-8 pairs. However, they’re already developing holes. The main spot for me in at the ball of the foot (the metatarsal area). I use them for regular wearing around the house, in shoes around town, and to the gym or when running. I think using these socks for running would be I’ll-advised. They’re already quite thin off the rack in the manufacturer packaging. I’m not sure what I was thinking using them for running. I have some SmartWool socks that are also quite thin that I’ve used when running before, but come to think of it those have a tighter weave than these do. They are rather expensive at $15/each though. I thought they’d be a good vegan substitute for SmartWool (a non-cotton sock that also doesn’t have wool) that wicks sweat well.I really like how long I can wear these. With cotton socks they feel damp after a few hours and I’d typically end up changing socks multiple times per day. These Wright Socks ventilate my feet well and I can easily wear the same pair for more than 24 hours straight. No dampness or smelliness.I would not use these for running or hiking.
I've been using these for about 5 years now after getting back into backpacking. I'm always trying out new gear, even stuff I know works fine like the Wrightsocks. This year did about a 70 mile trip and tried another brand to start. 8 hours and 10 miles into the first day start feeling a blisters in both feet due to moisture buildup. It was a bit too late at that point, but changed to the Wrightsocks, no blister issues the rest of the trip. Even wet didn't have any issues. Last time I'm going to try an alternative brand of socks at this point, if it's working great no reason to change.
