Cam Floodlight construction, mobile tools, customer service, and installation were all excellent! For my specific implementation, however, it did not function well. Two items in particular - Cam floodlight was mounted on soffit. That put the LED lights behind the camera drawing insects into the view of camera such that even with sensitivity set to 0, numerous false alerts required powering off to get some sleep. Second item, the field of view was too big for this camera. Cam was mounted 10' over drive, looking out 20' above pool and into ravine. I use Wyze at my mom's on doors in 12 x 12 patio - they are awesome there. For me, I need cameras that can zoom, are separate from floods, and integrate seamlessly with home automation to control perimeter lights.

Great camera, but...

I've used Wyze for quite a while now, and have gotten pretty good luck with most of their products. You honestly can't get much better for the price, and quality. With that being said here's my little bit about this light. The camera on this thing is quite crazy good. SUPER wide shots in 2k, and very smart detection. Eliminates the need for an extra camera on that side of my house which is a plus. I have enough stuff connected to wifi. 10/10 on the camera for sure. The lights... not so much. The lights on the regular wyze floodlight (which say they are lesser in lumens) are brighter than this. Even with the brightness at 100% it's still not as bright. I've tested this on two - I have two pros in the front of my house, and two regulars in the back. The UI changing for every camera they make is getting quite annoying. The pan cam, this, and the regular cams are all different. Yes they have different features, but the tapping of the screens between them to zoom is VERY annoying.I still won't go anyone but Wyze, but I sure wish everything was uniform between all the cameras.

Not happy with the connectivity
26 June 2023

Love the motion detection and the audible voice that warns people they are being recorded. My complaint is with the connectivity, we still have our first Wyze cam out side next to the new Floodlight pro which are the first generation that is ment for indoor use. These old cameras have a better and faster connection to our home wifi network than the floodlight pro. We even bought a wifi extender and placed it closer and still no improvement, but the old gen one cameras did improve with the extender. You would think that with a newer more advance camera system your connective would be faster, but it takes way longer and also will buffer and freezes when using 2k, which is one of the reasons I bought it. I bought two Floodlight Pros and installed one. It would not stream video at all if you just wanted to watch what was going on. It would alert and tell you that motion was detected and send you that video, but no live streaming. Router was literally about 15 feet from the light fixture too. Also, the led lights themselves are not very bright compared to what I was replacing which was a regular flood fixture with two Sylvania Night Chaser LED flood bulbs (which are awesome). What would be great is if Wyze would sell a fixture with the integrated camera with just regular screw in bulb holders so that you can install your own bulbs. Also, the new fish eye 180 degree viewing area does cover more area, it is just hard to look at. I would prefer more cameras with a normal ... MoreI bought two Floodlight Pros and installed one. I returned my product and will continue my search for the perfect flood light/camera device. If these issues dont bother you, you may love the device. I have about 8 Wyze cameras, some smart bulbs, and smart plugs. So, I like Wyze. But this product just didnt fulfill my expectations.

PIR sensor removed, Human Detection AI not robust
28 June 2023

PIR sensor removed, Human Detection AI not robust to identify fleeting person moving quickly across frame. I tested multiple times by going quickly into field of view of camera and getting out of frame quickly. It failed that test. Thieves won’t wait forever in camera frame. PIR sensor is necessary to identify human body quickly in matter of milliseconds through hardware. Don’t know why they removed it (think for cost cutting). The AI is not robust yet to identify parts of a human when face is not visible - that is where the PIR sensor helps as it uses infrared light to identify human body (that never goes wrong). For this reason I am going to return this product. Stopped working after 2 weeks!!! The Floodlight Pro was installed correctly, including caulking it. It is installed under the awning of the roof; so it is not in direct weather when it rains, etc. Now the lights only come on for a second when adjusting the ambient brightness and go off again. Ironically, I got an email asking me to review the floodlight right after it stopped working. Otherwise I probably would have given it 4 stars because I would have suggested that Wyze had included the USB port for an additional camera, like with the standard floodlight. By the way, I also have a standard floodlight in my back yard that gets more direct weather and it and the additional cam are working fine. Also, the bottom of the view,, which cannot be raised more, shows part of the roof of my bay window and the cam seems to focus more on that because my driveway, that should be the focus of the cam, is seriously darker than it should be. I will submit 2 photos. One shows what the cam was focusing on when it worked and one that shows the present with only light from my porch.

So far I can't find anything wrong with this product. It's perfect for what we use it for. It's literally a doorbell camera (without the annoying bell) just an alert on our devices, it's a porch light, it's a floodlight, it's a theft deterrent and it's a wildlife watcher. We live in the country that's also heavily wooded so there is no shortage of wildlife. The black bears are migrating to our area and we'd rather deter them than harm them. So the siren will hopefully scare them back into the woods and not too close to the house. This thing is perfect, we're debating on one for the back yard since there are no lights where we live but that's also why we moved here. It's big but also has the modern look so it's not gaudy. Our home is tan so we went with white.
