Xbox Series x 1TB Console

I have owned a series x from day 1 and I have never had a single issue with my console. It performs fast without fail and keeps on going with high performance to all games weather that's playing in 60fps which still to today does not fail or dip to playing with better graphics (at 30fps-60fps) The size is not too large, very basic to look at but gets the job done, the main fan is at the top of the console and can let out a bit of heat. I have tried this console out in the open which is very quiet and in a cabinet, personally I have kept it out as it does get rather loud and hot is more confined spaces. However if your title is an online title then you will be disconnected from the game servers and will have to reconnect so it's not as seemless and the same when switching from games. However is great if you use quick resume to go from title to title if they are not online. The longevity is decent for the console as I have said i have had no issues with overheating or performance. However can collect dust in the back vent very easily (I do have a dusty-ish home though) and I and finding myself blowing into the vents and top fan to get dust out every couple of weeks, but that should not put you off from This Amazing console. Pair this with gamepass and you will have an absolute great time and at a great price. 100% a console to purchase in the market today

Best Console Hands Down!

I have had both the xbox series and ps5 and let me tell you why I kept the xbox and returned the ps5. Xbox series x is the best hands down - Built solid , Runs Very Smooth and Quiet , Hardware is better than ps5 , Quick Resume , Much easier and better organized user interface than ps5 imo , Powering down the xbox series x is way easier and better than going through 3 steps to shut down the ps5 , Graphics look amazing on Xbox series x , Xbox runs games better in 120hz where as ps5 struggles with 120hz, Xbox controller imo is way more comfortable for longer gaming sessions where as dual sense controller starts to cramp my hands after a short time , Internet connection on Xbox series x is way better and downloads games faster than ps5 , Game Pass and Backwards ... MoreI have had both the xbox series and ps5 and let me tell you why I kept the xbox and returned the ps5. Ps+ is very limited and only goes back as far as ps3 games which are streaming only. Also you have to pay for a ps+ subscription to save your data just to save game progress which you don't have to do with xbox. So in other words if you ever have to delete and reinstall a game on ps5 you have to start the game all over. Another win for xbox because you can uninstall a game and reinstall and still continue where you left off. Batteries last much longer with rechargeable battery packs in xbox controllers , Dualsense battery life is much shorter and not that good. In the short time that I had the ps5 I was getting errors saying no internet connection although all my other devices were working fine on 300mbps internet and it also crashed with a black screen and shut down in the middle of a game, Not cool Sony. So to sum it all up imo the Xbox Series X is the best all around console this generation and that is simply the truth and facts. People are starting to realize that the xbox series x is the better console over the ps5 , Why do you think the xbox has been outselling the ps5 , Because it's simply the better console and better value for your money. Ps5 consoles are just sitting in stores untouched , While Xbox Series X continues to out sell it. Comparisons between my Series X and my PS5

A great improvement over my older Xbox One S. The interface is faster and more snappy, but there are still some weird glitches where you start up a game and it hangs on the splash screen for a few seconds before it kicks you back to the home menu, then you have to boot up the game again. I also own a PS5 and I’ve gotta say that the PS5 feels like a more premium quality product overall, with more exclusive games that I like. This SeriesX is also slower to load up games or fast travel in games than what I’m used to on PS5.So what do I like about the SeriesX? I like what they’ve done with GamePass. It offers a nice variety of games. You’re just quickly back where you left off.Overall, I think Microsoft has done a decent job with this console. There are just a few Microsoft-ish bugs that pop up here and there that hold it back a bit. And they’re very slow at releasing exclusive games, but hopefully that picks up since they’ve been acquiring so many large video game companies now—a practice I tend to frown upon, since it polarizes the industry into more of an oligopoly situation.If you’ve enjoyed the Xbox ecosystem, you can’t go wrong upgrading to the SeriesX. If you’re moving from a PS4 to a next gen console, I would recommend sticking with a PS5. But I think it also depends on what exclusives you want to play. You’re getting a good overall experience either way.

Didn't Expect This..

The Series X is much more impressive with the parts and pieces that are actually pretty pricey parts and it amazes me that they managed to keep the price at $500 still.If you're asking yourself, do I get a PS5 or a Series X. I would of course say get both, but given that Sony has been increasing the price of the PS5 and it is not as easy to come by, I would say get the Series X and don't stress about the PS5 right now. The Series X is much easier to get, the design of it in my opinion despite it being very minimalist, is actually nicer than the PS5 and it's a little smaller than it too, and you can finally enjoy next gen gaming without having scavenge for a PS5. Game Pass is great to have as well and with it you can play basically every new game, and has titles that start from the original Xbox all the way to Xbox One/Series XS. Also if you're like me and have a few Original Xbox games and Xbox 360 games, you can actually play them on your Series X because Microsoft actually made their console backwards compatible.If you've been more of a Playstation person I feel your hesitation, but this console is actually worth it. Not hating on Sony but I wish they had made their consoles backwards compatible like the Series X. But yeah if you're wanting to play next gen games, get the Series X and get the PS5 later when they come out with a Slim or Pro model. Overall I didn't expect to like it this much.

On PS5 you can only have 4 local players max, and you're forced to buy the pricier Dual Sense controllers for playing PS5 games.Games that are exclusive to Xbox/PC also receive support and updates for a long time and keep you coming back. For example, Sea of Thieves came out in 2018, and it still gets updates every few months that brings people back. Sony's exclusives tend to be a "one playthrough and I'm done" type of experience, so they're in my cycle of games I'm playing for a much shorter amount of time.There's other small features that I like on Xbox too, like how you can install games via the Xbox app even if you don't own the game, so if you know you're going to buy a game, you can install it and have it ready ahead of time.Don't get me wrong, the PS5 isn't terrible and is worth owning too if you can afford it. It just annoys me that people talk down on Xbox without even owning one for a head to head comparison. Again, I do own both, and there are a lot of advantages for Series X that I hope people will become more aware of here.

It's like having an Xbox One with a supercharged upgrade

I like how all my saves were kept in my Microsoft account in the cloud so I could seamlessly transition from playing my Xbox One games on my Xbox 1 X to playing it on this platform. Xbox Series X does Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos sound as well, so it takes advantage of my home theater's full potential. Lastly, I sold my Xbox Series S to upgrade to this one. I don't miss it at all. The Series S won't play your Xbox One games as it is all-digital, and that infuriated me, owning so many XBox One game already. If you already have an Xbox One, and a library of games, then you already have a library set for this console, and they will play better in all cases, and even considerably better if it says "Optimized for Series X" on the back of your disc case. I also want to note that there are many Xbox 360 and original Xbox games that you can play on this machine (theydon't cover all of them, but a lot). I was impressed that I could play HAWX for Xbox 360 and it not only played a little more smoothly, but also I could use my Xbox One/ Series S flight controller. At $500.00 it does seem pricey at first, but I look at it this way-- my $1000.00 gaming pc is not even capable of playing some graphics-intensive games like Elden Ring, and this console is. And it plays a lot of the games I play on pc noticeably better. And on that note, if you get gamepass for pc and console and download a pc game, in some cases if there is a corresponding Series X version of it, you can alternate between the two on the same game save. Oh, wow. The only reason I might persuade someone against buying this first, or buying instead of a PS5 is if you like the Sony Exclusive games like Spider-Man, Horizon Forbidden West, and the Uncharted series. Then definitely get a PS5 first (or instead) unless your passion in life is to play Halo 12 when it comes out.

My son is made up with it

Great machine.My son was overdue a new console and had the Xbox ONE for several years. It had started to overheat and become a little temperamental. I didn't like the power pack style lead always being switched on as that used to get quite warm and I felt it was a vampire for electricity. If I switched it off at the plug my son would say it did not fire up properly.The new Xbox design works better in my sons room than the old one. It has a smaller footprint as it's more like a small sleek desktop pc and has no annoying power pack lead, just a standard cable. If I'd have done this straight away it would have saved me a few hours of annoyance. I would recommend an Ethernet connection for the download stage if you can - it prevents the connection dropping mid download.The controller does not come with rechargeable battery - only standard batteries. If you get an Xbox controller battery pack then you can recharge your controller. This is worth doing in my opinion. We had these battery packs in the Xbox one controllers.You can use the Xbox one controller with this machine and also the games.

The audio situation is pretty well-known, but apparently an update at some point removed the Bitstream option so this causes issues with playing Dolby Atmos/Digital even after downloading the recommended Dolby app.Whenever I'm playing a Blu-Ray, the audio that plays is Dolby Digital TrueHD. The player does not say that it is playing Dolby Atmos. Meanwhile, the PS5 does say it is playing Dolby Atmos but that is because it has the option for Bitstream. As far as the operating system goes, it's just too busy. It's relatively easy to understand, but I feel like Microsoft could really learn to simplify and speed up their OS.Aside from those few downsides, this is an excellent system worthy of your time, especially for older gen titles. Can't tell you how fun it has been going back to play titles like Fallout 4 and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic at 60fps.

Why I’m glad I bought the Xbox series x

Admittedly at first I was cautious, however considering Microsoft’s recent acquisition of multiple award winning game studios I decided to future-proof my gaming. At first I was a little underwhelmed by the lack of Xbox exclusive titles, after all I’d come from the likes of Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ratchet and Clank: Rift apart. This becomes especially apparent when switching from a single player game to multiplayer games with friends and doing it on the fly feels so, so good.I’ve come from being on the fence about Microsoft’s latest and greatest to finding myself just naturally turning towards it whenever I’m gaming, the sheer variety of games available on Game Pass coupled with the practicality of quick resume has meant that I find less and less reason to pick up my dual sense controller. Don’t get me wrong, when it comes to first party exclusives I still believe PlayStation truly have something magical and I’m super excited for the release of games like God Of War: Ragnarok, SpiderMan 2 and Forspoken however that’s just it I find that other than first party exclusives I have no real compelling reason to play the Ps5, after all why purchase a triple AAA third party title for £50 when I can potentially experience it for free on release day for £10 a month on Game Pass? I’m not here to convince you that one is better than the other after all they both satisfy different needs for me, I love them both and look forward to seeing what the future holds for the next gen of consoles.
