The video quality and sound both are very good. I am projecting it on to a wall but still the result is very good. Speaker might be a bit low volume when using in a hall, but in bedroom it sounds very good. The support was also very helpful as I saw price drop after my purchase and they did the refund of the price difference within a few days.

The 3-stars rating is severe, but the Halo doesn't deserve a 4-stars in my opinion. But I would understand some other users like it for the usage they make out of it, but personally I had to return it. Here's why : - Brightness : Although having more Lumen (800) than most portable projectors on the market (which usually have 300 Lum), I still find using it in a not-completely-dark environment not satisfying. If you want to enjoy a perfect brightness of the picture, you must either watch at nighttime, or completely isolate your room from any light source. For example, if you watch in the daytime with all blinds and windows closed, your room will never be 100% dark, therefore the brightness would still be watchable but will only be (in my opinion) acceptable. - ... As I suspected, the battery is somewhat too weak. Although being advertised to reach 2-4 hours video, if you watch a movie at a maximum brightness setting (which you would do, especially in a non-100%-dark room - see comment above), then after 1h30 max, the battery symbol blinks and warns you to plug the power in. As a consequence, in order to have peace and not to worry about the battery running out, you end-up plugging the power cord in, right from the start. You then lose the whole advantage of the "portability" feature. In fact, I consider the battery to be good enough for emergency and relatively short usage (like a short presentation, or showing quickly a few photos to friends for instance). But to have your mind at peace while watching a whole movie, you need to plug the power cord in right from the beginning. The 2 reasons above are the main reasons why I decided to return the Halo, and to buy a more "powerful" projector (the XGIMI Horizon). If the 2 above points are not problems for you, then the Halo is probably worth buying, because it has many positive features.

So after a couple of weeks of having it I've decided it was well worth the price for what's out there. The brightness of this little thing is actually pretty impressive, and does well during the day with the blinds closed, which works for me since I usually watch movies till later in the day. I do mean that it does well with light coming through, I live in a big apartment with a lot of natural light coming in and the blinds never fully stop all the light from coming in and the Halo manages to hold up a great image at max distance from across the room. I love that I can take it back and forth from my room to the living room, also I have used it while laying down on my bed. I love that I can take it back and forth from my room to the living room, also I have used it while laying down on my bed. I have it on a tripod that I got from a thrift store, which scares me a little about knocking it over because it is heavy, but it's well balanced. The image looks great, I don't have a screen, so I can't tell you how great the detail is, but I am assuming it does what it says it does, because I'm projecting on pale blue walls and the colors and image quality is still impressive and crisp. I've watched movies that look amazing on it, and have played my switch on it and it makes me never want to go back to even a 70" screen, I've projected to about 150" which is as far as I can go in my living room. The speaker is pretty good, I am no audiophile, but I think I could tell if the sound was bad, and I think it sounds great. I almost never notice the fan, when watching movies and shows or whatever, the fan never gets loud or distracting. I think if I placed it near my head I might notice it more, but it's always a few feet away from me. The battery seems to perform well, I wish I had tested out their claim of being able to watch a full length movie, but sometimes I forget to plug it in and am impressed by how long I can go before I notice I have to charge it again. I would love to take it camping or outside one day to test the battery life, but I do wish it came with a case, because I am just so protective of this little expensive thing. It is beautifully tiny, and works nicely with the OS it comes with, I have an Iphone and it tells you to download some app for screen mirroring that works fine with a lil bit of a lag. I was perfectly aware buying it that Netflix would not work without some form of Kodi or Firestick, but I'm used to working around this, but I do URGE that they work to fix this ASAP, we desperately would appreciate Netflix, and also AppleTV+! I noticed that I couldn't get that on here. Again with a firestick I'm sure its doable, but it would make this thing so much more enjoyable. I am starting to experience some trouble with the remote, it won't respond sometimes, and I have placed new batteries and replaced again, but I usually have to pop them in and out, which is starting to get annoying, I really hope the remote holds up because this was not cheap. Don't get me wrong I love the remote and it feels nice and worth the price. Overall it is a beautifully constructed little machine that is making me happy.

I had to say I love this devices so much! I was looking for a projector which is portable but in high quality, there are many $100-200 mini projectors, but I don't think they can meet my requirements. After comparing Nebula Capsule 2, XGIMI MoGo Pro and XGIMI Halo, I decide to try Halo out as the other two have much lower brightness. This projector has autofocus, it can get clear picture in just a few seconds and the picture was so sharp. I was really impressed with the brightness and quality of the video when projector was running on battery. I can use it during day and night, the picture wasn't that washed out. Android TV system is very familiar to me as I use to have an Android TV box, the only problem is you can't download the Netflix from Google play store. But you can actually download a XTV app to get Netflix app, so still good to me. Overall, I love this product, you can easily see the quality from the packaging and design, don't event need to mention the hardware lol. So highly recommended.
My experience with the Halo was a Rollercoaster ride. Pros: small and portable. Great image. Quick and snappy with apps that I got to work.( I have a similar app/wifi compatibility with my Samsung phone so no point minus there. ) quick shipping. Cons: no storage bag provided for the price point. Very little battery life. Not the best sounding speakers. But gets the work done. I usually pair my Megaboom and I love the results. You can even pair more than one speaker thru the Roku app and your phone and using the little headphone icon. I connected a Roku stick on my device and I get to use all the apps with no issues. Seems to have had a higher resolution than 1080p. It was apparently reading as 3840x2160p or 4k technically. True or not. Image seemed very good.
I love this thing. It's smaller then I thought it would be. The UI is okay, I am running a chromecast through it and turned the wifi off. I wish the speakers were better. Very treble based and not Bassy. I wish there was an equalizer for the sound. I would like to adjust that for my room. And the keystone correction is impressive but you definitely lose resolution when you do it. Also it has a zoom in function which its great but it still projects the full frame so you end up with a letterboxed effect which is not awful just slightly annoying. All in all though I truly believe this to be the most advance projector in its class. I wish there was a way to check the brightness as well and play with it in lumens. The projector is great. Amazing picture , I find that the sound is not as loud as I would like it to be outside but it's ok when inside , when I attached an external speaker to boost the sound the internal speaker shut off (wasn't expecting that) and there is a delay with the Bluetooth speaker , I was very disappointed with the processing time and shipping time,. To ship such an item via FedEx ground with no option to upgrade shipping is very poor, I contacted support 3 times to get it upgraded but they didn't so anything. FedEx told me it was possible but only by the shipper. So it was approx 14 days from ordering to delivery and it arrived a week after I needed it to . I've ended up using a Roku device rather than using the internal aps but that needs external power and spoils the portability of the projector.
I purchased this product two ago, I was blown away with the quality (both build and image). if you want a projector for movie nights and you have a decently dark room (think of night time with lights off, my window leaks street light but it is not impacting the image) then this is a great choice for you, and you have the benefit of it being portable and having a battery, so travels and camping will be taken to next level. but what amazes me more than the product is the support behind it ! I had a problem with delivery service and Xgimi Canada were following with me step by step and contacting them for updates. then I found the projector discounted and contacted them and they price-matched it ! top notch company, thanks.
I like its compact size and light weight, very easy to carry around to project on different walls in my apartment. Very convenient. Auto keystone correction is a must, every time you move the projector it adjusts the screen frame and automatically avoid obstacles on the wall to fit. Color is bright enough, shows better when it’s dark. Display is very clear and smooth. Harman Kardon speakers definitely adds to the next level. It just satisfies all my at home needs.
I did so much research trying to find the perfect projector for indoor use in my basement as well as for a large inflatable projector for our pool outdoors. The XGIMI Halo is hands down one of the best investments! It is so portable, great quality, very user friendly, and extremely pleased with the brightness of the screen even with moderate light in the room. If you’re in between the Halo and the MoGo, I highly recommend making the extra splurge and investing in the Halo. You won’t be disappointed! Oh and I would also recommend getting the XGIMI X-Desktop Tripod. I was debating whether we needed it, but it makes positioning the projector so much easier. Thanks, XGIMI!
