Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 4

Probably cleans the air well. Easy set up with the app and nice controls with xiaomi home and limited control with google home. I use a humidifier with distilled water in the same room which spikes the air air purity reading 400x so the nice auto setting screams when I have humidifier on. It is quite and can turn the light off which is crucial for me. The customised setting through the app is used to make the device work on the lowest setting when humidifier is on. I feel like there is less dust but need more time to ascertain. Is a big unit but so is any brand for this power.

Good price for what you get (bought on sale), considering other big purifiers cost a lot more.Very robust app for programming your air purifier. I have it programmed to only turn on at a certain air quality (and turn off once it's has cleaned the air), but also have it run on auto overnight. Once I figured out the app, the purifier runs automatically to my schedule 24/7. No need to manually touch it at all.Not sure how it compares to other air purifiers at filtering air, but I'm happy what this one can do. So far very noticeable at getting rid of any odour.

Owned this for 6 months. My child's asthma has disappeared.You'll be surprised how much dust the filter collects after months of use.The purufier goes up when you are cooking as it detects smoke.I put this on auto when sleeping. Very quiet.Great price for a large purifier that does the job.Only negative is the short power cord.

My air is clean so probably doesn't have too much of a job to do. Easy access with the Xiaomi app. I don't reckon the sensor is very accurate except the humidity reading. Good customizable settings, goof the LED can be turned off for sleep. Bought to see if reduces dust as the prime target, think it's reducing dust after a week.

We think the unit has made a difference, but it's hard to tell for sure because this unit doesn't measure PM10 (pollin) sized particles. It only measures and responds to PM2 sized particles (urban pollution) - so when on auto, it always run at the lowest speed. There is also the Xiaomi PRO model, which does measure PM10 particles, but has a bit bigger footprint. I also considered the Samsung AX34T, which does measure PM10, but it has a lower CADR rate, a bigger footprint, and much more expensive filters. The Android app gives you more control, such as being able to turn off the negative ion generator, set a custom fan speed according to room size, or program on/off/speed changes for different times of the day. At the sleep setting it's relatively quiet, but there is a noticeable, fan/air-movement rustling sound which is pretty easy to get used to. At the lowest manual fan-speed (probably similar to sleep mode speed), the unit reports it can fully cope with a room of 5-9 square meters, it's pretty quiet up to 7-13m, but the noise lifts substantially after that. If run at top fan speed, you probably wouldn't want to be the same room with it. It feels like it's making a difference, it's easy to control, fits into the space, isn't too expensive, the consumables are not too expensive, it looks nice in the rom, so we're happy with it.

This has similar specs to more expensive ($700) models. It looks good, was a breeze to set up, had little problem setting up the app Unit works really well, is quite just works quietly in the background. Very happy with the unit and very good value for money. Bought it on a whim, as I was looking for ways to reduce the dust levels in my home. Does that so the pure air is a bonus. Removes odours quickly ( I have 2 dogs and a cat) . The unit is great and the delivery was fantastic, ordered one day arrived in Timaru the next day. Also bought a Xiaomi temp gauge at the same time which is outside and is also shown on the App so I can quickly compare internal/external temp and humidity levels.

This is very quiet compare to when running at low setting but gets noisy on high. Make sure you buy the air filter based on 30% of advertised area so you can avoid running the fan high.The sensor is also more accurate.There is improvement in maintenance, for example the cover can be removed and the fan can be cleaned. All sensor can be cleaned as well.However the light cannot be totally turn off at night compare to Pro. Having said that It is not very bright so it is not too bad.
