Looks like sugar and tastes better than sugar.I wash my mouth with it. It suppose to starve the bad microbes in the mouth, and in this way improve oral health.Unlike any other product in the oral health field, this is an easy and pleasant thing to do, and for this reason I don't delay or put off the mouth washing, but do it after every meal. In addition to that, i do in other occasions during the day.I also used it to sweeten tea, or other rare occasion I need a sweetener, instead of sugar.I think the quality of this product is very good. I reccomend it.

I use this instead of sugar. Tried other alternatives but this is my favourite. Looks the same and tastes similar to sugar but has a much lower glycemic load. Mainly use it in coffee and tea, but know it can be used for cooking and baking and the only thing it doesn't do is brown like white sugar, but that's not something I require. More expensive than sugar, but if it helps to avoid sugar without missing out on some of the enjoyable things in life, I think it's worth the price.

This is my first time buying raw xylitol. It’s alright. I’ve used xylitol nasal spray and mints, but this is my first time using xylitol in its own. It says on the package that it’s derived from natural plant sources—I’m curious what plants are used to make xylitol? I know other brands make it from birch trees. I would be very curious to learn more about the ingredient’s origin. It tastes a little different from sugar, but overall it’s not bad. It doesn’t taste syrupy or super artificially sweet like Sweet n Low or Splenda.I use it mostly for the oral health and overall health benefits. I would be skeptical to bake or cook with it, however when I’m feeling adventurous I might try it.

I’ve been using xylitol for years on the recommendation of 2 different dentists. (One is Dr. Ellie Phillips and you can find her on YouTube. If you want to keep dental procedures at a minimum see some of her videos). Xylitol makes a great sugar alternative as it not only tastes very similar to sugar but it’s also naturally derived. Xylitol mints and gum are good for you after meals or when you’re unable to brush your teeth as they take care of bacteria that causes gum disease. The fact is that xylitol is a useful tool for preventative dentistry (as it kills the bacteria which cause plaque and decay)I read that in Finland adults consume large quantities of xylitol products and that around 90% of Finnish kindergartens offer xylitol sweets to all children on a daily ... MoreI’ve been using xylitol for years on the recommendation of 2 different dentists. The fact is that xylitol is a useful tool for preventative dentistry (as it kills the bacteria which cause plaque and decay)I read that in Finland adults consume large quantities of xylitol products and that around 90% of Finnish kindergartens offer xylitol sweets to all children on a daily basis. This means that school kids are getting into healthy dental habits from a very early age. This particular Xylitol sweetener has been delicious in coffee, tea, plain yogurt, cereals, and as a baking sugar substitute. It’s expensive, so I don’t use it for baking very often but have occasionally and it’s as if I’d use real sugar. I recently read on American mainstream media that xylitol can cause heart problems but not sure it’s 100% truthful given that there’s billions of dollars to be made with gum disease and yearly cleanings and I’m not trusting the medical (or dental) industrial complex these days. I’ll be doing some more research to find out if there’s any validity to those claims. It should be ok in moderation.
Even though I love this product, I am fastidious about using it. I know it is toxic to dogs, so I am certain to only bake things that humans can eat and would never be shared with my dog (ie., things containing chocolate). It mixes well without becoming gritty, and has no aftertaste. I am super careful about cleaning up and making sure none of it ever falls to the floor where my dog might lick it. Also, when I had Covid in 2023 and lost my taste and smell, I was taking Paxlovid that made my mouth taste like it was full of copper pennies - using a few granules of this product helped lubricate my mouth and minimize some of the bitter/metallic taste of the medication.
Xylo Sweet is a new must-have staple for me. I love the 1:1 measurement to sugar and this product's crystalline texture. It looks just like sugar, too. It have a lovely sweet taste with no weird aftertaste. It dissolves well. I enjoy it in my morning coffee and afternoon hot tea. I'm usually sensitive to sugar alcohols, but in the small quantity I use daily, I've had no ill effects. I'm impressed with the quality of this product also; there is no clumping.
First let me say that I was a sugaraholic when it came to my coffee in the morning. I never thought I could cut down. I was never into artificial sweeteners because I do not like the taste of any of them. I was apprehensive of trying xylitol until I read an article about the benefits. The main ones being it has less calories than sugar and also it does not cause tooth decay. It is not as sweet as sugar so you might want to use more but if you use too much you could have an upset stomach.Xylitol can be sourced several ways but this brand is sourced from corn. There is absolutely no artificial sweetener taste or aftertaste. This is the 1 pound package and it is pretty small but it is so much cheaper to buy it here than at sprouts. You can use it in recipes in place of sugar but since the sweetness is so subtle compared to sugar, your baked goods will taste very different and will take some getting used to. Please like if this helped!
I tired stevia; I tried Monk fruit.. Thank God for xylitol! Unlike other sweetners in the market, Xylitol does not have any aftertaste.. Just pure sweetness! Even better it is good for oral health, and it's glycemic index is almost nonexistent. I consider it one of nature's miracles.. No sugar is allowed in my house ever since discovering xylitol. I don't mind the price difference considering the medical bills I will end up paying if I continue to use regular sugar
This xylitol is one of my favorites. This is a natural sugar substitute that is chemically classified as a sugar alcohol (polyol). It is found in small amounts in some fruits and vegetables and can also be derived from birch bark or corn cobs.Xylitol is almost as sweet as regular sugar, but it contains about 40% fewer calories. One of the unique features of xylitol is its slight cooling effect when it dissolves in water or in the mouth. This sensation occurs due to an endothermic reaction, where xylitol absorbs heat as it dissolves.Unlike some other sweeteners, xylitol does not have any off-flavors or bitterness, making it a popular sugar substitute in various products.
Really Fast Shipping. Came well packaged. Resealable bags. Best before date is February 2026 so its pretty fresh. Tastes great, can't tell the difference to sugar. No aftertaste whatsoever. No unusual feeling or headaches (I usually get this with sugar substitute). Great price for the quantity (5lbs size). Only been using it a couple weeks so time will tell. I have been using it for its oral health benefits and any weight loss as an aside.
