Absolutely great value for money, I put up a 60 mtr fence, palings butted up and 6 screws per paling, and the XU1 never missed a beat. The only thing I would have done different was to buy an extra 2 spare batteries, so I wouldn’t have to wait for the recharge period.

These are great little drills, well worth it for the price.

Had this a few weeks and have found that the driver turns faster than the drill. The drill is way too slow and the driver too fast. The drill is single gear and seems to be set up to be a driver. The driver chuck will only lock on bits that have a short extension behind the locking recess, so double ended bits and some other bits do not lock in.

These guys are cheap for a reason, but not necessarily in a bad way.I use Makita at work, and you immediately notice the difference. The impact driver isn't strong, so you're going to hear it crank often. But noise aside, I don't mind that it isn't powerful, just the right amount of power to tighten and not over tighen by accident. The drill isn't very high speed, so make sure you use high quality drill bits to drill through easily. They come with a 1.5Ah battery, which isn't super long lasting, but depending on how intensive your job is, you have (up to) a good days battery life.I made a set of sliding doors, hinge door, and 6 windows for a home reno, albeit spread across multiple days due to time constraints, but tally it up, about a day's battery ... MoreThese guys are cheap for a reason, but not necessarily in a bad way.I use Makita at work, and you immediately notice the difference. The impact driver isn't strong, so you're going to hear it crank often. Great pair of items very happy with them use them on a regular basis
