This lock is perfect. Easy to install. Batteries last about 1 year and it lets you know when it needs replacement batteries. I didn't like the locks sold by my home alarm company so I bought this one from Go Keyless, which the alarm company integrated into the system. I highly recommend it.

This product performs wonderfully and love the simple functions and it's even satisfying with the feedback it gives when you lock/unlock your door! The bad things? Well, for starters, after the somewhat lengthy install (which was significantly prolonged only because of the following:), it turned out that no mater what I did, the device struggled closing the latch and gave an error message. It took me a while to figure this out, but I could tell that my purchase was a returned product due to various evidence, and it turned out that the previous owner damaged the door latch component, which resulted in too much friction. So I purchased another one, with the intent of returning the other one. Please note that I don't have enough data yet to make that point conclusive at this time.

The one star is due to misleading in product packaging. It shows everywhere on the box that this support WiFi and works with Alexa, google etc.. If you see the images it also says the 2 modules which are required for the WiFi support art inside the box. But guess what it does not. Only empty shells which says to upgrade to WiFi visit …..So I called support and the lady there agreed with me but was unable to help and pretty much hung up on me. I was not being rude but more like jokingly. So it costs another $130 for the WiFi module. As far as the lock and installation that is a 5 star. Everything went super smooth and it is a high quality product. But if you need WiFi or Bluetooth support which is needed for remote locking and unlocking then you need to spend ... MoreThe one star is due to misleading in product packaging. No where even in the fine print I could not see that the modules are not included and are optional. No Where. I still have the full packaging to prove it to anyone.

Easily replaced my existing lock with only a screwdriver. Took perhaps 15 minutes total. Set up the master code and guest codes easily. Love the autolock feature. I often leave the house for a run, and it's so nice not to have to carry a key with me. Also nice to give the housecleaner a separate code rather than a key. I did not purchase the wifi or zigbee version, because I can always purchase the module separately if I decide I want to integrate the lock with my smarthome system.
I like this lock. It's important to note that this version initially does not have wi-fi connectivity. There is another version of the lock that has that connectivity, but if you can still find this version you can then order the wireless module separately, and the combined price would be less than the newer model that has the module already included. For me it comes to about $50 less.It was very easy to install for me. My house was newer-ish, so everything fit. I didn't have to do any additional drilling or modifying to my current door. It went in in less than a half-hour.
These are very great locks. The install was very simple and straight forward. A simple screwdriver is all you need, no need to be a handyman. The setup for code was very easy. Locks work great. They look amazing as well. I really like the option to upgrade the lock to a smart lock. This option is available after to be able to manage the lock via a Google or Amazon assistant. Yale is know for it's great craftsmanship in locks and these are very high quality. Highly recommend this lock for your home.
I bought this lock to allow entry by relatives without a key. Installation was straightforward, taking about 15 - 20 minutes, following the clear and concise instructions. The housing mates well to the door, and the lock is attached through the existing lock mortise. (Instructions are included if you don't have a mortise in your door. However, you will need a drill and you should have a mortiss alignment and drilling jig, specifically designed for doors, if you are starting without a hole in your door.) Programming multiple combinations into the lock is simple. I bought the version with a keyhole, which came with two keys, to safeguard against locking myself out if the batteries go dead. Programming multiple combinations into the lock is simple. I bought the version with a keyhole, which came with two keys, to safeguard against locking myself out if the batteries go dead. In operation, the lock is smooth and flawless. From the inside, a conventional lever operates the dead bolt. From the outside, one activates the lock by placing a hand over the electronic keypad, then entering a code to activate the mechanism. On exit, one places a hand over the keypad and the deadbolt is inserted. The manual and electronic operations do not conflict. A nice piece of hardware, well designed and executed.
This is replacing a Kwikset electronic keypad lock that quit working after a less than four and a half years. Had it for just over a month and so far so good however, there a couple things to mention. 1) Not sure what the purpose of the red light on the inside part of the lock. The Kwikset lock had the same feature but the different colors, red, green amber, signaled what status the lock was in. For example, red meant the battery was low, green meant the door was locked and amber for the door was unlocked. The Yale lock just signals that the lock is working properly. 2) It would be nice if the keypad was backlit, at low a level, so that you can see the keypad in the dark. I realize it will illuminate once you touch it to activate it but that's just me. 3) The ... MoreThis is replacing a Kwikset electronic keypad lock that quit working after a less than four and a half years. Best Buy does not carry or sell part of the lock to have it connected to my phone. The person who install it told me that I needed these items . I went to Best Buy and was told that they don’t sell it. I have to buy it from Yale and when I made an appointment with Best Buy , the tech did not arrived on our set date without calling me that they are not arriving. Wasted half a day waiting without result. And yes, nobody told me at Best Buy that I needed these parts.
The discounted cost is why I bought it. It is a stand alone keyless entry with a back up key if the battery power goes down. This will not work with most rechargeable batteries because it needs 1.5v. Most rechargeables run on 1.2v and may alert that the battery level is low even when fully charged. This lock will NOT connect to WI-FI out of the box. It requires the purchase of a plug in module from August to enable that feature. If you’re looking for a reliable lock with a spare keys then this is hard to beat. But if you want home connectivity and the ability to lock and unlock with a smartphone then this will not work unless you add the necessary module.
