Our lock can be opened by using the app, or keycards. The app was difficult to pair with the door, and keeps asking for updates and failing to update. The app is frequently slow to load so that opening with a key would be faster. There is no pin pad on this lock, so it kind of just replaces keys with key cards....this seems redundant so I'm going to buy and install the yale keypad for an extra $100.

If your looking for a lock that can be controlled via app or homeautomation this is the best one I've found. The only issue I have with this is the wifi is only 2.4ghz and gateway has some issues connecting to modern aps with 6/5/2.4ghz ... You have to much around 2ith the 2.4ghz radio settings on your ap to get it to connect. Take should have a much better wifi option on the gateway but they dont.

Don’t give yourself the headache.A good idea in theory but it just doesn’t work and you can’t trust it.A new app has been released and it’s actually WORSE than the old one. The auto-unlock works maybe 20% of the time and what the app says about the status (locked/unlocked) can not be trusted. We added a deadbolt (key access) and their support is a joke too.
Very few smart locks on the market have all the features. The Yale Unity comes very close. Assa Abloy (the owners of Yale) are common in the corporate arena building solid locking mechanisms. This lock although made for the home, is very solid. They've gone one step using the same superb software they use in the USA with their August smart locks.August Home is the leading lock in the US and difficult to get here. But the Yale Unity takes all the good features from the latest August smart lock, adds the missing features that the August Pro lacks and then bundles it in this product.Awesome work.
Excellent unit that works well with Apple HomeKit and does as advertisedFYI the bridge is used only to communicate with the door lock when outside Bluetooth rangeAuto Unlock is over Bluetooth direct from phone to lock and better setup through the Yale access app instead of HomeKit as HomeKit requires confirmation to unlock (‘defeats the purpose of Auto Unlock if you have to give it permission every time)
This smart lock is really easy to setup and use, very nice design and overall is a good deal!
Doors Plus fitted the Yale Unity entrance smart lock when I purchased a new door. The lock with the connect WiFi hub are super.Easy to use, when I go out with the door locked and go to my sisters, then return the iPhone unlocks the door as I approach and turns on the hall light. So I just open the door and the light is already on, very satisfying. The app works well too and you can check the status of the door when away from home and unlock or lock.Very pleased with my Yale door lock.
We've had this for a month or so now; it's a high quality lock with useful features for those who often have guests staying. The app lets you add and remove guests, and set dates/times outside which they will not have access. It comes with two NFC tags; extras are inexpensive. The auto-unlock feature is neat - it reliably opens the door for me when I approach the door, and also turns on the hallway light. The app also logs when the door is opened and closed, and by whom if they unlock it, whether via the app, keypad or NFC tag, which is a nice feature. The matching Smart Keypad works well, as long as you can remember a six-digit PIN.Drawbacks: There's no obvious indication of whether the door is locked or not - you need to check whether the external handle is ... MoreWe've had this for a month or so now; it's a high quality lock with useful features for those who often have guests staying. Also, the app can often fail to detect the lock status and is usually slow to get it via the wi-fi bridge.
This is the only smart lock I could find with a double deadbolt feature, securely locking both side, inside and outside. Smart lock equivalent to a Double Cylinder Deadbolt.3 modes. Unlock / Locked (locked outside and unlocked inside) / Secure (Locked outside and inside)Great if you don’t want someone existing through the door with large items when they have gained unauthorised access.Easy to manage access, but need the Yale Connect Bridge if you want to view or change lock mode lock/unlock/secure from another location.Insulation is no harder that installing a traditional keyed door lock.
