Review date; 08/24/2018. Owned since March 2018 and play it several hours a day almost every day. The frets were a little rough but I fixed that easily via school of YouTube. Stays in tune, sounds great, plays very easily. When plugged in the ART pick up and Preamp are fantastic. It is very easy to get a very natural-ish sound plugged in. I was concerned it would have that piezo quack but it really does not. It seams Yamaha put the EQ filters in exactly the right frequencies.I added a strap button between the battery compartment and the neck heel. The shorter scale make the strings a little looser and easier to play for long time periods. I've been playing and performing for over 30 years. I have other, more expensive guitars but this has been my gigging guitar since purchased in march. It was originally intended to be a practice and spare guitar but the feel and tone is excellent.

Great full rich sound smaller folk guitar. The size makes it perfect for practicing on the couch and chilling. Rosewood gives rich full sound for it's size. No tinny shallow sound.Fret spacing is a little smaller than than a full size but jut takes a little getting use too.Highly recommend.
I purchased this for my sons birthday/ Christmas present and he's very happy with it!
The quality level of this instrument makes it bargain
I'm delighted with this guitar. It is a quality instrument and sounds great plugged in. I use it for open mics since I am able to accurately adjust the EQ using the three band equalizer. I highly recommend this guitar.

Yamaha FSX830C Brown Sunburst
The Yamaha FSX830C Electro Acoustic combines Yamaha's forward-thinking craftsmanship with the timeless sound of two stunning tonewoods. It's an electro acoustic for players who want to reach new heights with their music. The sky's the limit. Supported by newly developed scalloped bracing for extra stability and sound projection, the solid spruce top proves itself to be the ultimate soundboard. With sparkling definition and exceptional dynamics, spruce's voice allows you to strum and pick with dreamy, glistening sound carrying every note. You'll then have rosewood back and sides for an added 'punchy' feel with a balanced sonic response. And it wouldn't be a true, magical gig unless you had the help of some amplification. That's where the SRT piezo pickup comes in. It's connected to the SYSTEM 66 preamp for precise sound shaping, whilst staying faithful to the dazzling tonal qualities of spruce and rosewood. Every magnificent chord will be enhanced and projected beautifully.
