A trap bag that weighs 44 pounds! HH + 2 cymbal stands + snare stand + case = 44 POUNDS! This is the greatest thing to happen to hardware for drummers that haul their own gear.

This stand weighs almost half of my previous, medium-weight stand, a definite bonus when carrying my hardware bag. It doesn't have a spring tension adjustment, but that's not an issue for me, it feels fine. And the rod is 2" shorter than my previous stand, but also not an issue for me. It's plenty sturdy, and a good value.

Lightening my hardware bag by about 10 lbs with this and matching snare stand! I played on these at the Yamaha booth @ The Drumeo Festival in Vancouver and loved them! They are both sturdy and functional! The Hi Hat legs do not swivel, nor does it have a tension adjustment. However, if you are trying to lighten up on the hardware, you're probably not bringing a double kick pedal to the gig. So, for me this works fine! It stays in place and doesn't sway while playing like some of the flat base models tend to do. I've had good service from previous Yamaha products and I expect these to hold up well in the long(and lighter) haul.

Excellent hi-hat stand that gives enough stability and very light weight for your trap case at the same time. Personally, I like the light tension that is pre-set. You cannot change the tension but I find it works fine for fast playing and the action feels right to me. I used Ludwig vintage stands from the 60’s because of Thier light action and light weight as well in regards to travel. I have replaced those vintage stands using this Yamaha Crosstown Lightweight Stand. We will see how it holds up over time but so far, it has held up beautifully. I recommend this for drummers that want to lighten their load and have a reliable, light weight stand that feels good under your foot!
As advertised. Lightweight
Lightness and the direct pull action. It should have a memory lock for a quicker set up. I get a little better sound from my hihats with the direct pull action..
The stand is real nice. Spring tension is good. No need for to be adjustable.Overpackaged, yet still packed with top and bottom parts next to each other and scratched up!
I got this because of the weight. The legs don't swivel, so it can't really be used with a double bass pedal. Otherwise, it works fine. I would take this on gigs where I don't need the double pedal.
If you need a lightweight Hi-hat, this is the way to go. Slightly under 5lbs and appears sturdy. I have no used it yet so this rating is preliminary.
When it comes to light weight no other hhsIs lighter than this one also love the look on stageThanks, Cowboy Freddy.
