Yamaha have taken their all-conquering Pacifica 112V model and made an even more affordable model! Retaining almost everything that made the 112V the massive hit that it is, this fresh 112J take represents the best start you can probably get on electric guitar! This bolt-on construction guitar uses Alder for the body, the same as the rest of the Pacifica range. Alder is one of the classic bolt-on woods' and imparts an excellent all-round tone that is neither too dark nor too bright. Blues and Rock genres in particular really shine with Alder.A hard rock Maple neck with a Rosewood fingerboard is used here for comfort, stability and strength. The neck is nicely slim and the 22 frets are Medium-sized. Most players, now and old, will be able to take to this guitar very easily.The pickups on this guitar are powerful sounding ceramic models arranged in a super-versatile H-S-S configuration: the hottest sounding pickup is at the bridge for molten rock tones whilst the other two are less chunky sounding and suited to a variety of functions.
