I bought this to add to my Yamaha 'Musicast' receiver and soundbar as a semi-portable radio and music source to be used in the kitchen and bedroom. The speaker is well made and connected without problem to the 'Musicast' system as well as working independently via Bluetooth. I ordered a pair of these from B&H to add to my existing system, consisting of a Yamaha Vinylcast 500 turntable, and two WX-010 musicast speakers. The WX-010s were in the living room, and I wanted to replace them with this pair of 20WX-021s, which are larger and more powerful. I put the smaller WX010s in a smaller office room. Everything was easy to set up, I added the newWX-021s to the system with no problem, with the Musicast app. and linkd the turntable and two pairs of speakers easily. I paired the WX-021s as stereo as well, which was also easy to do on the app. I now have the ability to listen to all the speakers as I go from room- to- room, or, I can just select on pair of speakers if I don't plan on moving around. Really love this system. I have two MusicCast 20s set up in stereo in a bedroom. The speakers sound great and are well designed with nice attention to detail throughout the experience. I can bluetooth audio from my Android phone, AirPlay from an iPhone, and use internet radio and Spotify from both. Spotify works perfectly. Bluetooth audio is rock solid. Love the preset buttons, which I have set to internet radio stations. Love the alarm feature. The app is well designed and functions perfectly. Ideally the system would also support Android Casting, but the bluetooth works so well I don't really mind. The setup process is slightly more technical than a Sonos, but it's completely acceptable and I had no issues setting up at all. The app is very nice to use.

Gives Sonos a run for its money at a huge saving. Sounds great for a mono device, ideal for the smaller room or occasional use. Yamaha MusicCast is excellent and offers a huge range of device types to choose from, though sadly some discontinued. The only bugbear is waiting for an update for BBC net streaming...

I bought these speakers to improve the surround in my open family room. To my surprise, YSP-5600 is not compatible with the MusiucCast speakers. I connected to the Apple TV in my bedroom, but I can't control the volume with the Apple TV remote control, so I can't use it either. Now I'm looking at where to use them. Setting both speakers as a stereo performs very well.

Added a wifi Yamaha subwoofer which has set the system alive.This system works alongside the Yamaha musiccast app. which makes for easy streaming. The receiver also has cd and dab radio, so all basses covered. I have amazon music which I have now converted to HD.At first I had the Yamaha receiver as the prime connection but on musiccast it was difficult to connect to Amazon music. I had noticed that the speakers had Amazon as a standard connection on the musiccast app. I now have the speakers as the primary connection which allows access ... B/c of Covid delays, it took well over a year for me to get these speakers. No one - not Crutchfield, not B&H, not Amazon - had them. I looked at several different solutions to get rear surround for my living room but no matter what, wireless was always the best, least expensive solution. And these Musiccast speakers were the only ones that did it well and minimized the "hillbilly hacker feel" of the solution. Very glad I waited. The work GREAT as surrounds and augment the music listening experience. One thing I wish was better - and this is a fault of the receiver, not the speakers - but I wish my Yamaha RX-V6A receiver would measure and balance sound in more than one location.
Purchased in the absence of Apple’s HomePod availability in NZ, this unit more than does the job. Out of the box, immediate testing of music streaming from the iPhone 7+ via Bluetooth was quick and easy. Setup to join WiFi network (Apple AirPlay) was fast and easy, with simple ability to pass on settings to other home users. The Yamaha firmware update takes you to AirPlay 2 easily, working readily with HomeKit. Perfectly synched audio around the house in different rooms. Siri voice command playback direct to room of choice. Excellent playback from bookshelf position, and room corners. Audio finessed to personal taste via a simple graphic equaliser, allows you to turn on the brights and highs, with a nice contrast to the bass boost. Excellent piece of kit.
