I'm disappointed. As far as function goes, it gets five stars. Definitely will work for its purpose. The bowls are nice because they're ceramic which is what I wanted for my dog. Here's the problem. No one mentions that the colors are off. The tray itself is a beautiful bright white matte finish. It's clean and simple and looks great. The bowls, however, are not. They're off white. It's almost like the ceramic was made and they didn't finish it. So when you put the bowls on the tray, they don't blend. They almost look dirty because the color's not right. I'm not disappointed enough to return it, I've already put it through the dishwasher and we will keep it, but I might recommend getting the black because the ceramic against the black probably looks a lot better. ... MoreI'm disappointed. I wish the bowls were deeper and held more water. This piece might work for a cat but too small for any dog. Otherwise, good quality.

I have to say, I love this product. It looks great too. Our kitten chose to eat from this one straight up. I think it's a really nice hight for him to eat from too. Nice and sturdy, well made. It makes a nice noise when you put the bowl into the metal holder, which gets the cat running for his meal from wherever he is, without having to call him.

I purchased the Yamazaki Home Steel and Ceramic pet food stand with 2 ceramic bowls because my 2 cats kept pushing their food bowls around. The stand is steel and heavy enough that my cats can't push it around and the 2 bowls are ceramic and fit nicely into the top of the steel stand so no spilling occurs when the cats try to move things around. Works great and looks even better! Good quality and gets the job done! Love it!

When I received the two bowls sets I ordered I was concerned at first that they would be too shallow. I have three cats so I placed them side by side and did two bowls with water and two with food. It has worked out perfectly. I would recommend them for any household. Much prettier than the old plastic bowls.

It's light weight and easy to pop the bowls out to refill and place them back in the holder.
