This is exactly what I needed. As a soccer dad, I needed an ice chest that was easy to transport but also keep everything cold. My 10yr old is in competitive soccer. Between travel, walking towards fields, carrying extra equipment, it was always a challenge bringing an ice chest. We have the tundra haul, but it’s fairly heavy and sometimes the walks are long. This straps on your back, it’s comfortable, and does its job. I still use my haul for long weekend tournaments, but this is my new go to. I hope this goes for the long haul. Very happy with purchase. I recommend purchasing the 4lb yeti ice pack to help keep your drinks and ice last longer.

We used at the beach everyday for a week, and it worked great the entire time. The first day I threw a couple ice packs in it, a bunch of drinks and filled it up the rest of the way with ice. Each day before we went down to the beach I’d dump a little of the melted water out, and throw in some fresh ice. It keep everything extremely cold the entire trip. If you are using it for extended periods of time I’d recommend doing this instead of cleaning it all the way out and repacking every day. Lastly, I bought the 3L pouch for keeping phones and keys in. We opted to go with this size because the size smaller was just too small. Some positives are the size and volume, the fact that it is leak proof and the quality of the materials. Negatives: no kangaroo pouch to store keys etc. You have to purchase a separate pouch which is sold out on the website. This backpack is heavy especially when full. I actually purchased a dolly to cart it around because my shoulder got tweaked carrying it. I also don’t like that it takes two people to fill it. One to hold it open while the other one loads. It is however a good choice for a weekend of kid’s sporting events. I wouldn’t take it hiking.

Yes it's expensive but something Yeti proved with their magnet recall is that they stand behind their products and take care of the their customers. Fold over the top and buckle it down for extra closure protection.I found the backpack very comfortable when carrying it on my back. The shoulder straps are nicely padded, comfortable and easily adjustable. The side and top handles are also convenient when you have to toss around the M20.OK here's the best part. I kept the bag in the car for the entire trip. The car was parked in the sun/windows up not cracked for long periods of time, and the temp was quite hot (106). The water was very cold when we replenished our drinking bottles and the ice had hardly melted when we took out some handfuls or our bottles.We left at 7am and got home a little after 9pm, so like I said it was a full day in the sun. When I got home, the remaining water in the bottles was ice cold, the RTIC ice packs were about 1/2 melted, and the ice bag was hardly melted. I was very impressed given our hot the weather was!All in all I am very happy with the performance of the M20.
I love love love the YETI brand. I'm a smart, loyal owner of YETI coolers. I wanted a smaller edition and was sadly disappointed about this back pack cooler. It keeps ice cold with a slow melting of ice cubes- that's a promise guaranteed. The functionality does not meet expectations as the open closure is like a tight envelope opening that barely gives way to loafing large liters of bottles like wine bottles or water bottles. I honestly could only fit 4 bottles ensuring no breakage. The opening is hard to fold and snap into place. I wish YETI would just do a flip opening instead. The magnetic closure is a steady A+ secure.
The only cooler anyone should even consider purchasing. It’s incredibly lightweight when it’s empty and when it's not, it’s easy to carry to point A and back. Used this for a day long tournament at the beach under the scorching sun and everything I threw in there lasted that day and the next. Could probably last a couple more days if I didn't have to replenish everyday for a week.I'm a frugal person and bought coolers who claimed they are comparable in quality but not in pricing. None of those are even close to this product. Money well spent!
I really wanted something as reliable as my roadie yet lighter and more convenient for day trips. The color is beautiful and the weight seems doable even when packed as long as you’re carrying it on your back. It keep things cold for an extended amount of time for a soft sided cooler. My issue is the depth of the cooler vs the width of the opening. Is very difficult to pack and retrieve things in your cooler while trying to hold open such a narrow opening. The magnets are very strong, which is excellent for cold retention, yet makes the opening very inflexible. I also wish they had incorporated a dry pocket to carry small items on the outside (there isn’t even a place to carry the chest strap when not in use). Top notch build quality. The material is solid and sturdy. Larger than expected, but the opening is a bit narrow so tough to poor a bag of ice without some spillage. Ice cubes stayed cold overnight and kept our drinks nice and chilled. Very excited that I was able to grab this bag while it was on sale. Love the color..pricey but happy overall with the quality. Should last a very very long time. Great investment for future beach trip outings and when we have snacks and drinks duty for our sons club ball soccer team.
I’ve had this cooler before and I loved it. You can take it just about anywhere. Unfortunately my last one began coming apart at the magnetic strip and it didn’t stay very cool. I took some pictures and sent them in to yeti. They immediately emailed me back and set up a return. Upon returning my old cooler I was given a credit for a new one of my choosing. I chose the same kind that I had in a different color. Yeti stands behind their products and truly honors their warranties. I have three yeti coolers and although they may be a little pricey I believe you get what you pay for. I appreciate their products, service, and commitment.
