Disappointed in YETI
I was excited to get these cups. I love the 30 oz. size, and prefer this cup shape. Unfortunately, my first cups came with scratches and scuffs. I contacted CS, and I was told to request a refund due to damage in shipment. These were shipped by YETI, damaged. These were not damaged in shipping. After going through the exchange process, I get my new cups. Although they aren’t nearly as scuffed, these still have scratches. I’m going to keep them, but after several YETI purchases, this was disappointing. I will never purchase from YETI directly again. I love the brand, but will only purchase at a store I can inspect the cup before purchase.... Show more

It's a 14-oz cup, not 16 oz!
This is marketed as a 16-oz container but in reality, it holds 14 oz with the lid on. To get a true 16 ounces into this, you have to leave the lid off and fill the mug completely to the brim...effectively diminishing the ability to keep the drink hot. (Without the lid, the Yeti acts like any other coffee mug.) To actually use this product as it's intended (i.e. with the lid on to retain the heat), you can only pour 14 oz. into the cup. So in reality, this should be marketed as a 14-oz cup rather than 16 ounces. With the lid on, it does its normal superb Yeti job in keeping my coffee (or tea) piping hot for several hours; again, though, it should be marketed - in my opinion - as a 14-oz capacity. This is a 14-oz drink...not 16. I love my Yeti products but I'm a bit disappointed at them marketing this as a 16-oz cup when - for its specific intents and purposes - it really holds 14 ounces.... Its a love/hate relationship
Yetis are sleek looking. I like this style because they dont take up too much space in the cupboard yet they hold a big coffee. It will fit in a standard cupholder in your vehicle. Love the stainless look. Also love the mag cap - makes cleaning easy and you don't need to worry about your "cap" breaking off the first time it gets dropped.Where points are lost is where it matters most. It doesn't keep coffee *hot* or ice water *icey*. My coffee is just warm in the matter of a couple hours. I actually find my "mibevi" cup holds heat way longer.... Show more

NEVER AGAIN
I'm disappointed I can't leave a 5 start review. My Husband got everyone a 16 oz yeti, For christmas last year. My dad ran over his and was extremely disappointed. (Typical dad thing no big deal) I immediately had it replaced and my husband got himself and me a cup also. He got twenty ounces this time. Tell me why the 16 oz he got me.Last year is the same size as the twentieth that he just got me. Both are labeled the proper ounces that we bought. The twenty ounce cups that we got are the same size as the sixteen ounce cups We got last year. This very well could have been a mistake. But I don't think that it was. So don't think they are getting anymore of my business. I cannot confirm if customer service would have made it right?Because I did not reach out to them. ... Do yourself a favor if you're gonna buy one buy the sixteen ounce it's the same thing.I don't believe this was an accident. Has anyone else experienced this?... Show more

New product size - welcomed addition
New size / shape - 16 oz. So, here is a new offering - slightly wider and not as tall - a little “chunky”. Fits hand nicely and is a welcome addition. Many (and I agree) say this is similar in size to the Red Solo Cup. But wait - didn’t we already have a 16 oz stackable (pint) cup - YES! Yeti has changed how they measure capacity. The original 16 oz cup is now measured to the very top (totally full) which is 20 ounces - meaning it is now sold as a 20 ounce cup. Thus, opening the way for this new cup - when measured to the very top is the “new” 16 ounce product. Evidently Yeti is using this new measuring method for many of their products. No complaints really, just make sure you know exactly what you are buying and the measured capacity, verse what is realistic / ... MoreNew size / shape - 16 oz. OK sub since we can't get a 20oz in Chartreuse
Its a decent cup - but it doesn't keep things cold nearly as long as the 20oz rambler with the magslider lid - and the straw lid leaks all over the place at the slightest tip. Looking to buy the large magslider replacement lid, but the Yeti brand is out of stock all over the place. I like that it is stackable, and the amount of liquid this cup holds, but its too big to actually hold; my hand gets sore quickly. First world problems, I know, but I am trying to figure out a solution. I really REALLY want the out of stock Chartreuse 20oz Rambler - its the perfect size for my hands and the lid rarely leaks - you have to leave it sideways or upside down for a minute for that to happen - but they seem to have my favorite color in every style but the one I am wishing for.... Perfect Coffee Cup, But Smaller Than Advertised
I love this cup. But Yeti really should not advertise it as a 16 ounce cup, because it clearly isn't. 12 ounces of liquid is about the max you can put in it and fit the lid on top, and even that is a stretch. However, I usually drink 8 or 10 ounces of coffee at a time, which makes this cup about perfect. The cup fits into a cup holder, looks good on a desk (without looking too bulky) and I like the sip lid. The magnetic slide is easy to remove and clean and has a satisfying click open and close. You can also swap it out with cool colors. The slide isn't perfectly leak proof, but it will prevent spills. I tipped it over a few times on my desk and as long as I flip it back over within 3-5 seconds, then nothing will leak out (or at most one drop), so its pretty ... MoreI love this cup. It holds temperature better than the wide yeti mugs. I have switched all my coffee cups from the wide yeti mugs to this cup. It is more comfortable to hold, looks better on my desk, fits in a cup holder, and holds temperature better. I keep buying new colors every time they come out with a new a new seasonal one and have amassed a large collection of this mug. It is just the perfect mug for 8-10 ounces of coffee. In a pinch it can hold 12 ounces (barely). But if you want something that is 14+ ounces, then get the next size up, this cup is too small despite it being sold as 16 ounces. My attached photo shows what 10 ounces of coffee looks like in this cup. You can see it is pretty full. It is a few millimeters below the lid when you put the lid on. 12 ounces would touch the lid. Anything more and the lid is not possible.... Show more

The best coffee cup
Best coffee cup. That's what I was hoping for when I took the plunge on $25 for a coffee cup, and it has been everything I hoped it would. And I don't even use it as a travel cup (yet).Specifics:1. I concluded I did not like handles on coffee cups. The ergonomics are awkward, it has to be facing the right way, it's more to clean, and takes up more storage space.2. The 16oz Yeti cup is the optimal solution to this big life 'problem' (smile):a. Capacity is optimal (10 oz coffee + possibly 2 oz of additives like milk + 4 oz of free space).b. Internal diameter and depth makes for easy cleaning.c. Outside diameter fits my adult male hand well.d. Ridge on the outside provides added support and stability.e Diameter and shape of lip is optimal for me.f. Quality of ... MoreBest coffee cup. "g" also results in NO condensation on the outside, so, no need for coasters.i. But I'm using it for cold drinks too, and that's mighty nice too, how the drinks stay colder, longer, plus all of the other benefits above.j. While I only have one now I intend to buy more when the budget allows. Then the stacking feature will be very nice.k. In short, this cup is a daily treat.... Show more

The cup? Great! Academy's shipping? AWFUL
I live in Texas just a couple of hours from where this item shipped. I was supposed to get it in just a few days. Instead, it took about 10 days. And on top of that, it was shipped in a plastic envelope with NO PADDING at all. Of COURSE it was dented. Do NOT under any circumstances order anything from Academy that can be damaged because of poor packing. To add insult to injury they wanted me to ship it back to them to get a refund. I had to push back to just receive a discount instead to avoid the entire shipping hassle. Even than took days. :-( Academy is *not* set up to be an e-commerce store despite what they may say/think. The cup is great and I like it. Academy's shipping? Not so much.... Show more

The Perfect Iced Tea Tumbler!
I drink iced tea. A lot of iced tea. Year-round iced tea. Many flavors and I like a tall glass for it. My sister had a Yeti and I found out just what quality and functionality they represented. As soon as I got home, I started shopping. My requirements were well-understood. 22 ounces or more, no straw or spout necessary, dishwasher safe, and a fun color. The 26 ounce is PERFECT! I "made do" with one tumbler for about a year, and then decided it would be nice to have iced tea AND my morning smoothie available at the same time, instead of drinking the smoothie, washing the tumbler and then having iced tea in it. I bought two more and joy of joys--THEY STACK!! I have yellow, turquoise and orange and they look so nice, I keep them out of the cupboard when they are not ... MoreI drink iced tea. Though two are almost always in use. Overnight I have some ice water available in case I get thirsty, and the ice is still not melted when I wake up. This is without using a lid, BTW. I love these, and expect them to last a long, long time. What a fantastic product! I highly recommend these.... Show more
