Yonex Astrox 88 D Pro 83 Grams (New 2021) Badminton Racquet

I bought this racket, and it is an excellent racquet so far. It generates a powerful shot when it comes to smashing, and you can easily defend in every corner of the court. The speed is fast enough, and control is reasonable as well. It is highly recommended for aggressive double players who love to play in the rear court.

Although it is mentioned head heavy, its has good performance at mid and front courts. Its very impressive with power shots at the rear court. Happy with the purchase.

The product. I bought it for my 11 yr old boy who plays for Avon and Somerset. It’s an upgrade for him as he has up to now, used the Yonex 88D Tour. He says that he finds the sweet spot somewhat larger, more stable and he’s able to produce more powerful shots from the rear. He says the feel is somewhat greater (maybe he’s trying to make me feel ok with spending the money) He’s had it for only a week or two so his opinion may evolve..The service. Although the racquet turned up a week late, it was due largely to the courier. On the delivery date and time, I was in but no parcel come through. On looking at the courier app, the app showed the item was refused at point of delivery. I didn’t refuse it and phoned Badminton HQ and spoke to someone called Matt (I think). ... MoreThe product. Matt was very helpful and contacted the courier to advise me of a new date.I indicated on the courier app to have the parcel redirected to a neighbour. On the day, the courier still left a £150 badminton racquet unsecured outside my front door - maybe he didn’t read the redirection or couldn’t care. Either way, If I was a criminal, I could have reported it undelivered and caused Bandminton HQ and the courier company a problem. This is a common problem and I have such disdain for couriers I tend to try buy from companies who use Royal Mail.Given the choice I would not have purchased from Badminton HQ solely because they use couriers. Also, sourcing a Yonex 88D Pro right now is a rarity A shame since Badminton HQ was excellent.
