Last night I used these lights for the first time. I did video for a Quinceaera. The event was approximately 7 hours long. The lights stayed on the entire time. I was blown away. They exceeded my expectations.

This light is wicked bright and has great features for its price range. The battery indicator isn't exactly precise. It sometimes jumps from around 90% to 70% to 80% but is at least accurate in showing when it's very low. This light didn't do me much good outside even fairly close to the subject, but for interior lighting I'm so happy with it. Plenty bright to be a key and the colored snap-ons aren't bad either! I use the tungsten colored one regularly.

Great little light. Has quite a bit of output and really made a difference in my wedding video. I actually was not aware of the face it was bi-color. I thought it just had gels to change he temperature. All the online reviews and other sources said it was daylight only. I’m sure being bi color robs you of some overall output but honestly it’s probbaly worth it. I noticed after one wedding that I already had one LED that didn’t work and that’s why I’m rating only 4 stars. It may only be loose and I just need to check it but I was disappointed in that. Also the barn doors are pretty useless for lights like these. But I guess it looks cool? Anyways. It did as good or better as I expected and for the price I really can’t complain.

I purchased this to use as a dim key light for shooting video of a presenter during a slide presentation in an otherwise dimly lighted room. It will be perfect and I will use it on a light stand. I tested the battery life with six fully charged Duracell 2500 mAh NiMh batteries. I used only the 3200K LEDs at full power and it ran for nearly 2-1/2 hours before dimming with the voltage runoff. So far happy with the brightness and battery life.
This was a good buy! Very bright for its size. The color is daylight and may have a slight magenta shift to my eye. The bottom angle adjustment attachment is a little flimsy. I try to carefully adjust it when I need to so it lasts awhile. The filters took some time figuring out but once you learn how they fit it's pretty simple to put them on. This does not ship with a power source! You'll need to by your own. I got some heavy duty NP-F batteries and this sucker lasts several hours! It seemed that the light started to dim when the battery got low. Sorry, no official tests or numbers. I will likely buy another one in the near future.
This is a very good LED light and very intense. The one drawback is that the barndoors have a shiny interior surface. I tried to take the little screws out to reverse the barndoors to have the black surfaces on the inside but this is difficult to do. The type of screws is CM2, length is 4mm. The type of nuts is M2. I found them on ebay from China! Ordered them and when they come I'm going to drill out the existing screws and reverse the barndoors.I wanted to use this as a backlight on people for greenscreen work. They lights have a diffusion filter so I cut a circular piece of magenta gel and it worked nicely.Recommend this light for it has many good uses.
I bought this light for use during mobile photography classes and general travel. While not as compact as a panel style, I am really impressed with the optimization of size, weight, brightness, and cost. The color filters are a little tricky to apply, and I see almost no benefit to the frosted one unless you're looking for catchlights up close. Still, they're nice to have. The cold shoe mount is reasonable, but made of plastic with a 1/4-20 metal female thread. So far, I'm using that with a stud adapter on small tripods, but it should work fine on a flash mount as well. The knob is also plastic - I'd recommend not using it too much as it feels like it may strip easily if you forget to loosen it first. Power selection is fantastic, if a little wonky now and then. The knob is also plastic - I'd recommend not using it too much as it feels like it may strip easily if you forget to loosen it first. Power selection is fantastic, if a little wonky now and then. The dial is digital rather than indexed which means if you spin too quickly you can get jitter when dialing the brightness up and down. When you switch to fine control, you get FINE CONTROL. It takes maybe three full revolutions to drop 1/3 EV. Perhaps this is too fine, but I'd rather have that than too coarse. I feel like the barn doors should have been made removable, and I'm concerned that they'll eventually break because the hinges are plastic. Take care when using them. But the fact that is has doors is awesome. It makes flagging and gelling much easier with a little gaff tape. I haven't run it from batteries, yet, but I'm very impressed that it can take three different power sources - from Sony style NF batteries to a DC wall supply to AAs. This alone puts it above most panel lights in its class that only take the Sony or wall power. Even adding the weight of batteries, this thing is light enough to tape to a broom handle if you need some reach, and at a street price of about $60, you aren't going to be too upset if you damage or lose it. I can imagine a small army of these things for painting night scenes. The things I would like to see improved are: Weatherproofing Easier filter attachment Removable doors with better hinges Metal mounting hardware (or glass-reinforced nylon instead of injection molded plastic)
Works great for stills or video. I used it for a background light, hair light and bounced-off-white-reflector key light. Its versatile and reliable if you buy one from a reputable place. One modification I made to it: I applied black gaffers tape to cover the dappled silver flags built into the light. Close to a background it creates a dappling on the walls I didn't want on a particular shoot. I covered them up and now they are proper flags for controlling the light. I've attached a portrait I did using this light as a hair light (behind the subject) and a bounce light (bouncing toward myself and a white reflector I'm shooting through a hole in its center.) The main light was a bigger source through a soft box. Just get it and enjoy!
This light stunned me when I turned it on. Should have turned it more away from my face. Lots of light output from a tiny package. The metal construction is stouter than the plastic unit it replaced. Or, the body of the light is metal, but the adjustable fitting for the cam cold shoe is plastic and doesn't give a feeling of confidence. This is another one of those pieces of lightweight gear coming on the market that do the job well and at low cost. It will probably need to be replaced more ofthen than a more expensive unit, but even buying two will be cheaper than some on-cam lights I've owned. Being a new unit, I've not had any problems with LED or control. Time will tell on that.
I wish a stronger and better brand offered something more robust with easier to achieve skin tones, but this product is a start ! build quality is okay, fimsy, as expected, skin tones at 32k are tough to correct for a critical eye, but easy to correct for wedding films to a certain point. (if you are charging top dollar , look at the dedo lights or arri, or anything with good quality light that gets you great skin tones right away and lets you shape the light with proper barn doors, and flood / spot settings.). If you 're on a budget or simply want small round lights with barn doors (you can always gaffers tape that terrible reflective surface to taste). this is literally the only current option in this price range the below images are set at 32k, and 27k, 27 k ... MoreI wish a stronger and better brand offered something more robust with easier to achieve skin tones, but this product is a start ! build quality is okay, fimsy, as expected, skin tones at 32k are tough to correct for a critical eye, but easy to correct for wedding films to a certain point.
