Great dunking tea

I?m not a big tea drinker but something about the thought of a biscuit flavoured tea tempted me. A sort of comfort drink! Well, I?m not sure about tasting of biscuits but it really is a very tasty tea. And ironically when you dunk a biscuit in it, both the tea and the biscuit seem to burst with flavour! So it?s staying on the shopping list - a good, comforting cup of tea with or without the biscuit!

Malted milk biscuit tea!!

This tea tastes like malted milk biscuits, so naturally, if you don't like them, you won't like this. However, I myself could trough on biscuits of any kind until the end of days and since I can't have 'malted milk' biscuits as a vegan, this tea for me is a nice malty-biscuity treat. Even though it says it saves on crumbs, in my case it doesn't, as I dip actual biscuits into the biscuit tea, which is delightful. I have maybe one cup of this a day as a treat and the rest of the time Yorkshire Gold, which by the way is the best tea ever made, I cannot drink any other standard black tea. My sister however, is completely addicted to this biscuit tea. She won't drink normal tea anymore. Upon realizing we had run out last weekend, she walked to our local supermarket ''burys', who used to stock it, only to find they no longer do. The other big chain supermarket, 'T-cos' doesn't stock it either. She is panicking that it may be discontinued. Thank you for stocking this Ocado and please don't stop, you are her only hope.

I absolutely love this tea! I look forward to my afternoon brew everyday now. There is a subtle malty taste and delicious smell. I also find it impossible to ruin the taste even if its over brewed or if I splash too much milk in it. However I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because once you start drinking this you can't go back to "normal" tea. Heaven knows what I will do if they ever discontinue it!!!

Smells like a rich tea biscuit dipped in tea
20 August 2018

I am a pretty conservative tea drinker - Tetleys, kettle-boiled water, splash of milk. I tried this box because it came free as a promo. Now, its my absolute go-to afternoon tea cup. Unlike many of the reviews below, I disagree that it tastes like biscuits. It certainly has a wonderful malted scent, though, that makes you imagine you just finished dipping a biscuit in your tea. I think thats why theres a psychological effect of finding sweetness in the tea. Theres no sugar - its just scented tea! I say its perfect for those cutting down on the tea-time biccies. I wouldnt drink this first thing in the morning - still my good old Tetleys for that - but I will definitely reorder for afternoon tea.

Tea and biscuits
8 October 2022

Firstly I tried the toast and jam tea and it didn’t really taste like described so I thought here we go again, another one that I’ll probably eliminate.Well how wrong I was, the tea and biscuits actually tastes like I’d been dunking biscuits in my brew! I tried with and without milk and sugar but for me a teaspoon of sugar and a splash of milk gave it its best flavour. Absolutely deliciousI’m totally hooked!

The Real Deal!
21 October 2021

I don?t normally drink tea, unless it?s Redbush but I bought this for fun and it?s so nice. Really smells and tastes like malted or even slightly coconutty biscuits. Quite good for tricking your mind into thinking you don?t need an actual biscuit! I was pleased to see they just contain natural flavourings and tea, so nothing nasty. Much nicer than the toast and jam pack they do.

The best tea Ive ever had
5 February 2020

I dont often leave reviews, but I wanted to work this tea. I am biased as I love a rich, malty tea & have a slight addiction to Digestive & Rich Tea biscuits. As a result of wanting to eat healthily I dont often indulge this love, so this tea is ideal. I love Yorkshire Tea, their Decaffeinated is also the best of its kind in my opinion. I do not know what they have done to create this tea, but it is exactly as it says on the box and it really does taste just like tea and biscuits. It is therefore absolutely delicious and absolutely addictive, the smell and the taste is yummy. I love it personally, and would really recommend trying it if you like a good strong cup of tea that taste like biscuits have just been dunked in it. Its a great way to have tea without the biscuit calories, although it tastes even better when they have been. Definitely tea with the ahh factor

Uncanny valley tea
23 August 2020

I should have read the description more carefully. I thought it would be a tea that paired well with biscuits (robust flavour? strong?) but instead it's a tea that tastes like biscuits have been dunked in it. The taste is so similar it's weird - it's got that uncanny valley vibe for me though. I like dunking biscuits in tea, but getting the flavour without dunking the biscuits feels odd to me, and almost definitely isn't what I want if I'm not getting a biscuit out of the deal! Overall found it unpleasant and only used one tea bag before abandoning.

Wish It Tasted As Good As It Smells
9 September 2019

I SO wanted to love this tea, but I am just left disappointed in it. It smells fantastic, exactly like malted milk biscuits dunked into hot tea, however it really only tastes like tea. There is occasionally the merest hint of biscuit flavour every once in a while, but that is only if I leave it to brew for ages, and even then it's only every few mouthfuls. As teas go, it is a good tasting tea, but calling itself a biscuit flavour tea indicates it should taste like biscuits too, and it barely does. If it tasted as good and as strongly as it smelled it'd be a real winner, but instead it is just a letdown.Perhaps it has all these 5 star reviews because it tastes more biscuity if you have sugar/sweetener in your tea? Sadly I can only drink tea without sugar/sweetener.

my favourite tea bags!
13 February 2022

I have to preface this by saying I am not normally a tea drinker, but having stopped coffee a few weeks ago in order to reduce my caffeine consumption, these have filled the gap very nicely. Tea is less caffeinated than coffee, obviously, but no less refreshing. This one has a nice malty flavour and works well with almond milk or black. Its not a traditional tea however so if youre a purist you may disprove.
