Yves Saint Laurent All Hours Foundation LC6

I was selected to try out the Yves Saint Laurent all hours foundation for free provided I test out the product and give my honest review. I was able to choose my color shade online and had thought the shade I chose closely resembled beige color but I was way off and when I received the item, I knew immediately the shade LW1 would be way to light! Didn’t need to touch up at all, maybe just once to blot the t-zone. In the second picture, I swatched 3 foundations. The first one is Makeup For Ever Y345 which is several shades to dark for me. The second foundation is Mac NC25 which is my correct color and then lastly is the Yves Saint Laurent LW1 which you can see it very light for me. Mixing the MUFE and the YSL together does help to obtain a shade closer to my skin color. Overall, this is a nice foundation that gives good coverage, I just wish choosing the color shade online was more accurate.

It wasn’t too warm or light. I felt like this face product is perfect for me when I want a full coverage look or for a special event or occasion. Even though, I normally go for skin tints, I think that this foundation will become my staple face product. All in all, I love the YSL All Hours Luminous Matte Foundation, and I would highly recommend it to my friends and family that are looking for a luminous, full coverage foundation.

I was so excited to learn it has hyaluronic acid which you can tell right away because the formulation of the liquid is so creamy, silky and not runny in comparison to other foundation. I was disappointed when I noticed that the shade looked lighter than the swatch image they provided, but it was so easy to blend with bronzer and blush that you can't even notice it's way lighter than my skin. I am usually a tinted moisturizer/light foundation kinda gal because I hate when my foundation feels heavy and cakey but this, I did not mind. The formulation is so wonderful that for my dry/sensitive/eczema spots skin it did not accentuate or highlight those dry patches which is always the case with a regular matte foundation for me. I wore this for 8 hours straight and it did not budge at all or transfer. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous and the pump provide you with enough amount without feeling like you have wasted the liquid. One thing to note with this foundation is that it is scented. It has a floral scent but not overly overpowering but it is definitely noticeable so if you don't like fragrance in your foundation then this is not for you.

Dry dry dry!

Sigh. It’s so hard buying foundation over the internet, but I had a previous YSL foundation that I absolutely loved. Sadly, it was discontinued and so I looked for a replacement. This is not even close to the quality of what I had before.The color I thought I needed (we need a better chart to compare to our skin tones!) was not available with Nordstrom) and the color numbers are way different than the previous product (can’t we go uniform here, so that if YSL retires one foundation, those same colors are carried over into the new product?). I had to select the one I thought would be the next closest. Nope… too light and even though I have a slight yellow tint to my skin, the yellow undertones in this are too strong.I always use a moisturizer or serum before ... MoreSigh. But even with pre-treating my skin, this product is so dry that it will settle into any lines or wrinkles one had and amplify them. There is no reflective light at all. It is flat (it’s matte I know, but come on, no moisture at all?). It makes me feel heavily made up, which I hate. So I try mixing it with serum or moisturizer before applying and that helps a little. But seriously, this stuff will dry out on the back of your hand or your face before you can even use a sponge to apply it with. You can’t do a light buildup in areas under the eyes because it won’t spread.This is not a product that works for mature skin.All in all, I feel like I paid way too much for a product from a company I count on to deliver great light reflective foundation. So now I have to start all over again.

Great Foundation

This is a great foundation, medium coverage but buildable. Its a small bottle but you dont need much. I do think you need to get the right colour though or can look odd. I tried a few testers from the Counter first and i am definitely warm, the Neutral was Ashy on me. It gives a demi-matte finish and you do need powder if you are ouly but probably not if you were more on the dry side. It doesnt cake on me and i still get ouly but not as much as i do with other foundations. I do really like the finish, it looks natural and doesnt look dry like some or cakey. I do sometimes wonder if the Hyaluronic acid breaks me out abit as other products with it do as well but i love the foundation si keep using it

It’s an okay foundation

I received this product for free from influenster in exchange for my honest review.I tried this foundation for over 2 weeks to see how much I like it. It’s alright, the waterproof claims hold up, I’ve worn it swimming and wore it for over 24 hours and it didn’t budge. The finish is satin and While it feels lightweight, it LOOKS heavy, it emphasized my pores and looks horrible around my mouth, I think it caught on the little hairs and emphasized them. It oxidizes to be a redder undertone as well, you can see the dried down shade in the photo I included. The coverage is high medium. I tried to build it up in on my blemishes and it didn’t fully cover. It does have fragrance, it smells like cleaning solution to me, not horrible but still strong. New Formula

I know it’s old news but I use three different shades of this usually to suit me and to mix and blend, I was horrified to find that there was a new formula. I have had to label the lids on the new ones with the old corresponding codes so that I know which is which.. and the colours are not quite the same as they were before, but close enough. I am getting used to them. The formula is meltier than it used to be on my skin, although I wonder if that is down to the hyaluronic acid. I like it, it gives the impression going on that the coverage won’t be there.. and whilst again coverage is not quite the same as the old formula, it is still close enough that I’ll stick with it for now. It is still the better foundation on the market for most high end brands I find. New favourite foundation

I wanted to try a higher coverage foundation and absolutely love this one. The formula is beautiful, it sets down perfectly and doesn’t oxidize. It’s fairly thin in consistency and is easy to blend. It’s perfecting and doesn’t stick to dry patches. I use a pretty heavy face cream (tatcha dewy cream), so might not perform as well with a lighter moisturizer. I have a lot of redness on my cheeks and combo skin that is prone to dryness/flaking. Wears well for a 14 hour day but it hasn’t been hot or humid, so hopefully it wears well in summer.I love the packaging and pump works well. Overall I am really happy with this foundation and would definitely recommend it.

First of all, Thabk You Nykaa for such a beautiful surprise of relaunching Yves Saint Laurent beauty in India. I knew only you guys could do it! Coming to the product, this gives a luminous matte finish unlike the Cakey look like NARS foundation gives. A beauty blender is the best tool to wear it for a perfect airbrushed look. Dark Neutral is the best shade match to go for NC 42 in MAC. Like most of the designer makeup, this gives sheer to medium coverage. People who are looking for Full coverage this is going to disappoint them. Minimal transfer. I have had worn it for 4/5 hours in a hot humid climate and it did stayed on. Overall, YSL AH foundation is at par with my Chanel Le Tint Ultra and EL Double wear foundation. Just go for it.
