I want to preface by sharing that I received this product as a gift from Influenster - thank you! I was extremely excited to receive this, as a huge fan of YSL, the designer. Upon opening the box, I was delighted at the sleek shape of the perfume bottle- the gold accents gave a luxurious feeling. Aesthetics like this just draw you in and make you want to use it. Regarding the fragrance itself, however, I wasn’t as delighted. The only things I took away from the fragrance was vanilla with an overwhelming musk- vanilla is also one of the scents I’m not a very big fan of it because of its cloying quality that lingers. However, I’m sure the vanilla and the musk were a huge influence in the perfume’s longevity, which was a good thing. Despite not loving the scent, it was nice to see a perfume that did last the entire day, instead of a few minutes, especially given its price. Overall, I would recommend this perfume for anyone who is looking for a more unisex/masculine fragrance that has a strong staying power. Additionally, if you’re a fan of vanilla and musk, these two things are a huge selling point for this fragrance, so I would recommend this to anyone who likes these scents.

I will be wearing this fragrance when I want to be Bold and alluring.

I believe that the orange blossom and white lavender makes this perfume a head-turner. It is comparable to the original Libre EDP, but it is slightly unisex as well. The bottle has a similar design to the other Libre perfumes, but it has a beautiful frosted silver look. All in all, I really enjoyed this fragrance from the House of Yves Saint Laurent called Libre Absolu Platine. I think it is a safe buy if a person is a fan of the Libre line and a fan of lavender and orange blossom fragrances. I think the orange blossom and lavender notes are blended beautifully in this perfume, and I believe that this perfume would be best suited for fall/winter days. I would highly recommend this perfume to my family and friends.

It's very elegant—the notched cut in the Y, the gold logo wrapping the bottle and the "platinum" interior of the bottle. I really appreciate the molded chain detail around the neck of the bottle as well. The perfume itself, I'm a little less keen on. It's good, but it's sharp. I get a lot of lavender from it, which is fine because I do enjoy a good lavender and the bergamot rounds it out. I do find it stays in that lavender-bergamot area through the majority of wear, and won't let the ambergris or vanilla in until far later in the wear—I wish I could get the vanilla to come out but thats skin chemistry for you. However I did get a lot of compliments on it from people I pass in my everyday life and while I did like the scent I don’t see it becoming an everyday scent for me. I would probably wear it more during the colder months or for special occasions as it does give off a strong warm sexy and alluring vibe. So if you like musky floral warm deep scents then this is 100% for you , if your looking to step out of your comfort zone to try something a little more deep sensual then I would definitely try this however if you are not a musk or floral fan then this is not something that will appeal you.

So this is VERY similar to the OG Libre but smells a bit muskier to me - I assume it’s the extra lavender note but I honestly don’t get any lavender from this. I do like the original Libre better, but I like this enough to keep it in my collection and I’d still encourage people to give this a shot. I do agree with other reviews I’ve read that this could easily be a unisex scent and could definitely see a male using this as an everyday scent. Unless you’re a female who really likes bold scents, to me this is more of a “going out” scent or maybe a special occasion in the fall/winter. It’s pretty strong when you first spray it and even when it dries down you can still smell it really well - the longevity is great.
