I’ve been trying to find a new signature scent for a while now, and have had several fails and false starts. I’m approaching 32 and my past favorites were feeling a bit too young and sweet for my taste now. In the past I’ve loved YSL Mon Paris, Versace Bright Crystal, Chanel Chance Eau Tendre, Burberry Brit, Nest Indigo, Replica Jazz Club, JM Sea Salt & Sage, etc. I always lean towards the fresher & spicier side of things and can’t do things that are too floral or sweet. One struggle I have with certain scents I love otherwise (JM Sea Salt & Sage, Nest Indigo, Replica (any of their fragrances)) is that they don’t have enough staying power. As someone else mentioned in the reviews I just can’t justify spending $100+ for something that I can’t even smell after 2-3 ... As someone else mentioned in the reviews I just can’t justify spending $100+ for something that I can’t even smell after 2-3 hours, and that’s definitely not something you want with a signature scent.Luckily for me I finally caved and bought this on a somewhat blind buy whim. I tried it in the store several years ago when it came out, and remember not being totally taken with it, but figured I would give it another shot. I’m SO glad I did. It’s the perfect mix of sweetness, spice & a hint of floral. It evokes BBE and gives you the sense of feeling put together, even if you’re just wearing sweats, but isn’t too overwhelming. Warm enough to be appropriate for night and fall/winter, but with enough cologne type freshness for spring/summer and daytime wear this is exactly what I was looking for in terms of flexibility with a new signature scent.I was worried that with this being such a popular scent I would blend in with the crowd of people wearing it, but it truly works with your unique body chemistry in such a way that the dry down smells different on each person who wears it. Recommend for 25+ as it is a bit more mature. The one note I would make is be cautious of over-spraying at first if you’re used to working with lighter scents (totally my mistake upon breaking it out).If you’re on the fence take the plunge!

It took me a while to love this scent. I purchased the travel size in the late fall early winter of 2020, just as the Covid 19 pandemic kicked into its second high gear That last is relevant as I was a nurse practitioner spending some of my work days layered in PPE behind a plexiglass wall testing people for the virus. In the rare moments where there would be a break between testing, I’d get a little breath of Libre that I’d sprayed on at 7:00 in the morning. It was calming, gave me a feeling that the world would somehow keep moving forward in spite of this virus that was creating havoc in the world.Fast forward to now, Covid is still here, I’ve retired from my career, but I’m still wearing this perfume. It will always evoke for me those darkest of days, but also a hope and gratitude for those moments of peace in the chaos.

Whoever formulated this perfume is a genius. It is a totally original and feminine formula that grabs your attention—but does not command the room. Excellent silage, and has staying power (which is important to me… how can anyone justify a 100$ purchase otherwise). The first notes that hit me are orange blossom, black currant, and lavender. Which is so, so, so elegant and uplifting. I love how some perfumes play into a “lightness” or “darkness” palette, but Libre is dynamic for BOTH. It may skew slightly towards a richness with the ambergris base note. So perhaps it’s technically best for autumn and winter. But it’s totally appropriate for year round.I’m a total snob since I used to work in the industry of luxury fragrance and I can’t stop smelling my clothes when ... I received this product to try by Influenster, all comments about it are my ownI will agree that the scent reminds me of a masculine cologne, but it is so so so good that I’ve been wearing it dailyVersatility:This fragrance is incredibly versatile, making it suitable for various occasions. Whether you're attending a formal event, going on a romantic date, or simply want to elevate your everyday style, this perfume effortlessly adapts to any setting. Its boldness and longevity make it an excellent choice for both daytime and evening wear.
I almost blind bought this after hearing so many people rave about it and I am so glad that I didn't and I got a small size first. To me this smells like every department store fragrance section (like the combo of a bunch of different perfumes lingering in the air). Its strong floral and powdery. It reminds me of Marc Jacobs Daisy mixed with baby powder. One spray gave me a bit of a headache. I definitely would not recommend this as a blind buy. I will say, though, I am normally a gourmand lover, or rend to prefer more creamy scents, though I do like the occasional floral scent, just not this one. If you love heavy florals you may like this.
Purchased the travel size and couldn’t stop using it… so I purchased the big 5oz bottle. OG Libre is mainly orange blossom and musk, with the lavender note more in the background than Libre Intense and Libre Le Parfum. The orange blossom is intoxicating… it’s clean and floral and sweet but not obnoxiously so. OG Libre is *close* to being unisex, which isn’t my thing at all, but stays on the feminine side of the spectrum. To me the scent is sexy but still appropriate for work. The bottle is super sexy as well. Lovveee this 🥰🤌🏽
This fragrance is even better than I expected. It’s definitely worth all the hype so I promise you it’s not over rated at all; which is what I was afraid of. It lasts for hours and I do get compliments. I bought this as a blind purchase. If you are particularly picky when it comes to fragrances than I suggest you go to your local Sephora and try it for yourself & see how it works with your body chemistry. But otherwise, I’m 99.99999% sure you will love this perfume. Also just to mention, I am pretty picky about the fragrances I buy because my live in boyfriend is very sensitive to perfume and fragrances in general. He can small someone’s perfume from a mile away and strong scents make him dizzy. This one however gives him no problems as long as I don’t put on too ... I received this free from Influenster in exchange for my review. Y’all this is a MUST have. If you’re a perfume snob like I am, please add this to your collection. YSL nailed this packaging, the bottle is stunning. The scent is so fragrant and lasts all day. It smells expensive. My husband went nuts when I put it on. I wear this to work and have received so many compliments. It’s hard to describe the scent but I get mainly a loud, floral scent. I am one of those people that like a very noticeable perfume. If you are sensitive to smells and get migraines from them, this is not for you. Over all it’s a show stopper and I will be buying one when this is gone.
I am an avid perfume and "fluid phase changer" 25 year old girl. This has been my favorite for just under 2 consecutive years straight- and that says a lot. Slightly complex, 8.8/10 lasting power, extravagant; subtly strong, smooth and deep in its well-claimed notes. So if you're feeling extra zesty or want to use 1 extra spritz than you normally do; say perhaps because you're going out in hot humid weather- chances are you won't smell overpowering if you enter a cool dry room 30 minutes later. It's a bright and unique smell; and makes me think of a gregarious woman who wears expensive and against-the-grain clothes that she creatively finds from thrift stores & works in competitive corporate while she's successfully building and fueling her creative entrepreneurship ... This is very familiar to me but I can’t pinpoint what it is. A hundred different sweet floral/fruity perfumes from 20 years ago?? When I first sprayed it I thought it smelled good but like some sweet fruity bath and body works fragrances, so not worth the price. I still think it smells like that but after wearing it for a few days I’m quite drawn to it. It’s does what it does so well you could invest in a bottle and do away with 20 other similar scents done less well. And this one just makes me happy when I smell it. There is something nostalgic about it for me. I do not get any harsh, offensive cologne vibe from this at all (although I do tend to be nose blind to certain molecules). and I can’t pinpoint any lavender. I just get big bright juicy fruits, a striking jasmine ( I can see the Alien comparisons… the jasmine is similar) and a very pretty vanilla. Dry down is a comforting blend of some familiar musk/soft woodsy/vanilla combo. There is nothing earth shattering here but it is basic done right: a very bright, clean sweet fruity floral on top and a nice warm musky vanilla dry down, all done to perfection.
