Bottom line - it tips over constantly because the magnets aren’t strong enough to support the weight of the iPad Pro. Using it right now and had to prop it back up twice (revision- 3 times). Although the keys are responsive, and the case is lightweight and comfortable, it’s not worth the price if it takes a spare hand to hold it in place. I could’ve saved money on a keyboard and separate case. Thought I was getting an item that would make typing on a tablet more convenient. At this rate i should just get a iPad mini or a larger iPhone and type with my thumbs!

This keyboard case is absolutely not worth the price. The whole reason I purchased it was for the backlit keys and adjustable position, but the back-lighting on the keys hardly ever works, and the magnet that secures the iPad is not nearly strong enough to keep it in either position. It will collapse at the gentlest nudge or bump. Maybe I just got a dud, but I regret spending this kind of money for a case that provides more frustration than protection or usability. As far as positives- it pairs easily, has a good battery life, and the keys are quiet. The groove for the Apple Pencil is nice, but again, the magnet doesn’t do much to hold the pencil in place.

I originally bought the case by Speck. It was more like a folio (no keyboard) and just okay. Next, I purchased the Logitech Combo Touch. It cost roughly $240 and it was pretty darn good, except it was REALLY heavy and there was nothing to keep the Apple Pencil secure except the magnetized side. I toss my tablet in my purse or backpack so I need the pencil to stay in place. It seemed odd to pay that much for the case and not have a way to secure it. This is also one of the reasons I refuse to buy a Magic Keyboard. I rarely drop my iPad, but if it happens now, I’m not worried. It has 6.6’ drop protection (military standard)- it has a space to secure your Apple Pencil — it charges it as well, but if you have any type of cover on your pencil, it probably won’t work- backlit keys (that change colors) with adjustable brightness- Con (or pro, depending on what you like) you have to charge it. It isn’t powered using the magnetic connectors on the side of your iPad and you have to sync it with your tablet via Bluetooth- there isn’t a trackpad — this was not a dealbreaker (FOR ME). I’m so used to using my fingers to select things on my tablet that a trackpad is cool, but not necessary for my needsI could go on and on, but those are just the things that stood out for me. If you are looking for an affordable case with good protection and great for on-the-go, this is for you!
The case is more of a suede finish and easier to grip than the smoother finish of the Apple-brand case (and also about $30 less expensive). The keyboard has its own battery and a USB-C port so it can be recharged from the same charger as the iPad. Therein is the one little negative. The case is heavy, almost doubling the weight of the iPad. The size of the case is also a bit larger than the Apple case. The keys are also more tactile than those on the Apple case.
I am so disappointed in this Zagg iPad cover and keyboard. When I hold the iPad in my lap to type on it, its neary impossible to get the angle right without the lid flipping loose. It’s intensely aggravating. I have a big binder clip holding the edge of the cover so it won’t slip off. Maybe the cover magnet isnt’ quite strong enough - I don’t know,, but it is frustrating.The other frustration is that the keys double-strike occasionally..There’s no pattern to it, it just happens. Sometimes the keys won’t respond at all, creating even more misspellings. I wrote Zagg tonight when this all occurred; if I weren’t heading out of town tomorrow I’d take this unit back for a refund.
On my previous iPad Pro I had the Apple Smart Keyboard Folio. Even though I liked, it really didn’t provide any protection for the iPad. And honestly, it was too expensive. But this Zagg case gives you even more with the protection for the iPad. This tablet is way too expensive to run around without a case. If you are looking for case with a keyboard that can also properly protect the Apple Pencil, this is the case you need.

If you position the keyboard so that this flexible section is hanging past your knees or past the back edge of an airline tray-table, the whole assembly becomes unstable and does not support the IPad very well. The IPad tends to slide backwards and physically disconnect from the keyboard. On a regular table or desk, this is not a problem. This is the only reason I did not give this product five stars.I really did not have any other issues with product. The keyboard paired flawlessly with the IPad via Bluetooth and held its charge over several days of typing. Considering the price of alternative keyboards out there in the market, this keyboard worked well for me.

I was was forced to return the case to Best Buy when they wouldn’t match the price provided by the manufacturer. There was a 25% off savings, which I could not pass up. It’s beyond me why they would not honor the manuf pricing, very frustrating.
Works great for the iPad Pro 12.9''.It would be great if it had a pocket for the Apple Pencil 2nd generation.There is a compartment for the Apple Pencil2nd generation on it and the latch has a magnet on it which can fold over the Apple pencil. The Apple pencil has a matte finish, which makes it feel slippery sometimes (maybe I am grabbing it wrong).Although a pocket isn't really needed because the magnet stays on,I personally want it to have a locking mechanism or pocket that you can slip the Apple pencil just to make it even more secure.
