I bought an early version of this tent together with 2 other friends about 8 years ago for $200 when the company was named Freedom equipment. One of my friends sadly had hers stolen, the other friend and I still have ours. I have used mine quite a bit over the years, in sun, rain and snow and in 3 different countries. I am patching the first hole in it today, it has lasted really well and I absolutely love it. The only improvements I would have made are already there in the current version (clip in poles instead of thread through, fully mesh inner). Well done Zempire!

There are many things I like about this tent however I am now on my second inner. Initially the tent bathtub floor was damaged and replaced under warranty. Now the second floor has leaked on a recent overnight. There doesn’t appear to be any obvious tears or holes however there was water inside the tent after a dry night and it appears to have come up through micro holes in the floor perhaps caused by bindi eyes which were present. I laid a Tybee ground sheet which was wet also so I believe condensation from the ground was the culprit

Purchased a Zempire Zeus tent from Snowys in February 2021. Watched the Zempire Youtube videos on how to set the tent up. On the first camping trip the poles broke and I had to lash them together with cord. In mid May 2021, obviously very dissatisfied with the quality, I requested replacement poles. Snowys responded 3 weeks later "I have had a response from the supplier Zempire, and they have declined the warranty claim sadly. They have replacement pole sets in stock for $51 including postage. Would you like to go ahead with organising a replacement pole set?" Not only disappointed with the quality but also with Snowys for attempting to get out of their consumer protection responsibilities and sting me for more money. It's now mid October and despite assurances from Snowys in early June, and again after I contacted them in mid September, no replacement poles have arrived. I've given up on Snowys and Zempire following Consumer Laws so will have to complain to Fair Trading. Zempire makes a poor quality product, and Snowys ignores legal obligations to consumers to replace defective goods.

Overall this is a pretty good tent and is of high quality. In hindsight it's pretty easy to put up though the provided instructions were very average. The only issue we have is with the provided tent pegs. I was pretty careful putting these in and only taps them lightly, yes the ground was pretty hard but that's just how it is in an Australian summer. See pics, 4 of the begs bent on the way in, which is normally fine for a tent peg but these pegs are an odd design, they are not really pegs more small star pickets and a bend in these is almost the end of them. The bigger issue we have with these tent pegs is that they are dangerous, unless we are doing something wrong, they stick out of the ground about an inch and if you were to step on one or scrap your foot among one you would do yourself quite a serious injury. I could only recommend this tent if you were to also buy replacement pegs with it.
Bought three of these for recent family camp trips. These are replacing a single Jet Tent F30X and everyone loves them. The tents weathered some pretty fresh/strong windy and rainy conditions camped out along the surf coast in Vic when other tents at the sites collapsed/ripped. Plenty of space for 1 person plus gear for a 10 night stay. Tight for two people and their gear inside the tent. Could have used vestibule storage to give more space, but prefer to keep gear inside. Excellent head room, able to sit up without hitting head. Great airflow and kept the bugs out. Like everyone says, upgrade the pegs to something more solid.
I purchased this tent just over a year ago. Got the footprint for it too. Words can't describe how great this tent is. It's super-easy to setup, and very comfortable to use. The setup process was very simple, with colour coordinated poles to aid in that. It's a little heavier than other hiking tents, but for its quality, I certainly don't mind. It packs down quite small too, much better than having to lug around a swag! Perhaps my only qualm with this tent, is the Hex Pegs that are supplied with it. Great in theory, but they are a little fragile. I would recommend upgrading your pegs if you get a chance. Overall, I'm highly impressed with the Zeus, couldn't recommend it more highly.
Completed one weekend with this tent in Gippsland. Stayed dry and warm all weekend above 1100m, sub zero temperatures (had a good sleeping bag with liner and a thick matt R9) and on wet ground. I was so snug and cosy. I bought better pegs based on the reviews here, but the pegs which came with it managed well in the soft ground. Easy to pitch with one person in about 5 mins. Plenty of space for 1 adult and all my kit inside. Planning to go with my daughter when the weather is better as it'll be very snug with 2 people and you'd need to keep kit outside. Photo is from a bad angle and doesn't do this good looking tent justice.
Ticks all the boxes for me. Bike packing, regular camping with a vehicle. Tho the bigger brands are lighter. They are double the price. Can free stand. Setup with the mesh inner or just the outer with the footprint. I can fit my 29er bike inside with the front wheel removed with me for security. Even a small stretcher if required. My only negative is a choice of more camouflaged outer be good. But the orange is a safety thing for some conditions. Hopefully I never lost and need rescuing.
Very pleased with this purchase. Relative to its purchase price I feel the quality is good & it has, so far, delivered on its intended design. Just spent a week camping during the Great Victorian Bike Rose, with some very heavy rainfalls. The tent performed well, stayed dry! It’s reasonably light and enough space for 2 plus gear or in my case one plus my gear and my bike. I would be happy to use on hiking, cycling and motorcycle trips. I note some have said the pegs are a bit flimsy. These are light weight and I was always carefully tap them in gently. I didn’t have a problem. But if you try to hit them hard into hard earth, I’m certain they would flex & bend easily.
Bought for heli-hunting trips where I can carry a bit of gear. Super easy to set up and roomy for my tall frame, pole design gives vertical ends so no pressing against a wet outer. With the inner being entirely mesh expect to feel the breeze more than a solid weave fabric. Great for hot nights, less so for weather that condenses insider the outer. Perhaps an option Zempire might consider for NZ?Overall got what I expected and satisfied with that. Quality of manufacture was faultless and the zips were smoothest I have met in a tent! Not a tent for gales, use terrain and trees to break the wind.
