Purchased for a student who is in the Pit for the fall season. These sticks seem way to light for this type of music. Think I will look at the Promark SD5 or SD7 next time...
I have a percussion section at church and my youth love playing with these sticks they can play soft they can play loud and it really makes this section sound great thank you very much. Brother Dave
Although all "double sticks" with mallets on them are going to produce tympani-like tones and volumes on your drum set drums and cymbals with the mallet side, they differ on the stick side. These produce a very opposite effect, with a light weight stick, and a small bead for articulate and low volume work.I only would like them to cost a little less, hence a less than perfect score overall, but very well made and useful for variety.
This is the greatest idea for a drum stick ever. Half stick and half mallet. This makes the possibilities in an orchestral setting and an on stage rock setting endless. One big problem with sticks are that because of the mallet stuck on the end, the stick are caused to go out of tune which may a big problem in some cases. All in all I love these sticks. They're great.
