I was nervous buying a bed from Wayfair because i couldn't feel and see the quality first hand. But! I LOVE this bed and so does my son. It is extremely good quality. It doesn't squeek. The wood is solid and it's beautiful. I also like that my son's toy bins fit underneath his bed and his room could potentially look neat and tidy (if it weren't for all his clothes scattered about his floor ;) ) Anyhoo - I will buying another matching bed in the future when my baby grows up and he and his brother share the room.

This bed has been great since I got it a week ago. Slats are sturdy and so is the frame. Only changes I would make are the inclusion of more felt protectors for the headboard for going up against a wall, and being aware that the black does scratch easily. However both of these are solved with quick trips to hardware store. I loved how easy this was to assemble and with two people it took about 30 minutes with our own ratchet. Definitely impressed by that and will give the Swedes a run for their money...Didn't think I'd use the USB port as I have the plug right next to my bed but now it's the only thing I use, so it's definitely an added feature I was surprised by

Bed frame 5/5, quality control 3/5

The bed frame is exactly as pictured, which is very satisfactory. The only off thing was the color--the photos show more grey, but it is actually a greyish brown. It is a great frame for a reasonable price, and it looks very clean and modern in the bedroom. The slats are also spaced close enough for a memory foam mattress (Tuft & Needle, to be exact, as these mattresses have specifications for slat distance in order to maintain the quality). I give the frame a 5/5 rating because it's exactly what I was looking for; however, I would be wary to buy again due to the seemingly lack of quality control.It was easy to assemble until I got to the second-to-last step and found that one of the pieces was warped, so it actually did not fit... meaning I could not complete ... MoreThe bed frame is exactly as pictured, which is very satisfactory. The lack of quality control creates a huge inconvenience, and the customer support is slow. I am actually still waiting to hear back about whether or not I am getting a replacement part. Surely, if we had not been able to fix the issue ourself, I would have had to take the frame apart, wait another several weeks for the replacement part, then re-build the frame.

King broken after barely 3 years - single sleeper

I was super excited about this platform bed & the reviews we’re decent. After 3 years, the whole thing is falling apart. The whole bed seats when I get in it. After further investigation, the pieces in the middle that hold up the king have broken. The screws are broken and stuck inside the pieces that support it. It’s also broken at the attachment for the headboard. Pretty disappointed in the quality over time. I am single and sleep alone, and somehow the top of the bed broke :/ I’ll be shopping for my next bed elsewhere!

Solid frame, "wrong" wood

I'm going to start with the frame is great. It is low as other reviewers have said, but if you're short like me and my spouse and have a thick mattress it's so nice to not have to practically climb a mountain to get into bed. I can sit comfortably and put my feet on the floor which is a nice change from our old bed frame, and definitely not something I can say about just any bed when I'm 5'1". It doesn't squeak or creak, it went together super easily, and the shelf is so useful for holding our phones and whatnot. The slat supports being Velcro attached is also genius. Now it's a darker rich toned wood with faux slatting for the headboard, which makes the visual contrast much less noticable especially if it's not super bright in the room. While that's not a deal-breaker for me given the other benefits the frame has for us, it is disappointing, and I personally find the faux slatting visually unappealing. The photos need to be updated to reflect the actual product if this is what it's going to be so that you know exactly what you're getting.Overall very happy with the purchase, but honestly we'll probably end up refinishing the wood somehow down the line to be more like our expectation. We wanted to brighten up the room a bit and while this is still way better than the solid black box our old IKEA Fjell bedframe was before, at the end of the day its still several shades darker than we thought we were getting and in a room with not a lot of natural light anything dark is that much darker.

Super easy to assemble and so comfy

I assemble flat pack furniture for work and I have to say that this bed was the simplest, most thought out system I have ever come across. The bolts are packed with the washers on them and the parts are numbered in such a simple and easy to follow way - instead of numbering each part they’ve numbered the joins, so you match #1 with #1, #2 with #2 etc. It was an absolute breeze to put together, barely had to look at the instructions!The bed itself is very sturdy and doesn’t squeak. The shelf is super useful and the usb works well (although they’re usb A, so I had to get a usb A to usb C adapter for my phone and Apple Watch chargers). Suzanne Metal & Wood Platform frame

Arrived without any issues. Everything was clearly marked and packed well. I layed the pieces out, made sure I had them all and placed the pieces in the room. Instructions and pieces clearly marked and frame was easy to put together. Didn't take more than an hour to have it together and ready for the mattress. Only issue is how low it is to the ground. I ordered and added 4" risers; 6" risers would have been better; at least for me. Frame appears as shown in the website and is stable.

Would be 5 stars if not for a defect

This frame is gorgeous, straightforward, and easy to put together! It's a shame that it arrived with a cosmetic manufacturer's defect: the manufacturer had screwed the metal into the decorative wood footboard, and it cracked the wood all the way through to the front of the piece. We couldn't wait on assembling the bed, or else we would have had to sleep on the floor for a few weeks until a replacement part came. Unfortunately, the warranty only offers a full refund upon return of the frame, or a replacement part, which would be hugely difficult to manage now that everything is installed. The company does not offer partial refunds, so just be aware of the chance for this kind of defect when you purchase this frame. They'll never fall off, which was my big worry in transitioning to a slat/platform style bed from a frame + box spring setup. We got the 14" height, and there's a good amount of clearance underneath for cleaning and storage, which is what we were hoping for. The lack of headboard or extended footboard gives the bed a sleek, modern look with a clean silhouette. Not to mention, it's easier to make the bed. (Though I may never get out of the bed.) Even with the manufacturing defect, I think we'd still buy this frame all over again. It's exactly what we were looking for.

disappointing and difficult to assemble

Having bought other Zinus products before, I found this one to be quite a disappointment compared to previous purchases. It should have been easy to put together, but it was not at all. The instruction page shows only one type of screw, but there are two. My son figured out by trial and error that one set fit better in the top holes and the other worked better in the bottom holes. Even then, there was not enough space to easily turn them with the allen wrench that was provided. (Why so many manufacturers insist on using this type of screw instead of a simple flathead or phillips head, I don't know.) It was a poor design overall. The holes did not line up like they should have, and it took two people to put it together.
