I took a chance on this bed and I'm so glad I did! It was easier to put together and it comes with a ratchet and an allen key, which doesn't sound like a big deal but really makes a difference. The instructions were easy to follow, all the screws fit without much effort. My friends and I were expecting this to be a long process with lots of frustrated screaming, it took us 40 min total and that's probably because we ended up laughing a lot.The bedframe itself is sturdy and comfortable. And the Velcro strips for the slats are such a good idea. I used to sleep on a bed where the slats would slip off, no amount of duct tape was keeping them in place, so this was great. 10/10, would def recommend.

Bending legs.

The bed legs on the frame keeps leaning. Today I had to break the whole bed frame apart due to the screws bending so bad that the bed cannot sit up anymore on it. Every week or two I have to come help my mother with her bed because it’s always falling even when she’s sleeping. She can’t even turn over on her bed. I’m so upset. I should have returned it sooner after a month after buying, but I did not want to because I just fixed it up for her and the items are very heavy.

Good solid bed

Very nice solid bed. Instructions are confusing and leave out some important steps. Headboard is assembled backwards and has to be turned around. Also headboard bottom panel has to be assembled with holes towards the bottom or the center support leg won't be level with the floor. We watched a you tube video when assembling. People that left bad reviews had problems mostly related to these two things. If you take your time it is a very solid well built bed.

Have a lot of patience

I ordered this online and it arrived quickly. The box was undamaged, so I was happy about that. I assembled it by myself, so it took a couple hours. Everything went together smoothly, with the exception of the legs at the foot of the bed. For some sadistic reason the manufacturer designed this with some type of idiotic twist lock mount. The twist lock would not engage, it kept popping loose. As a result, there's only one bolt holding the end legs on. I'm hoping it'll hold, but who knows. Other than that, the rest of the assembly went ok. Another issue was the instructions: in the instructions, the parts are lettered, while the parts themselves have numbers on them, not letters. Its just ok

Its ok! I was looking for a temporary frame to get my bed off the floor till i can get my other frame ordered and made. The directions were terrible. They made no sense but there were pictures so thats basically how you know how to put it together. I wasnt impressed with the wood slats either they velcro to the fame. Ive had it for maybe a month now and it does squeak occasionally when i get out of the bed and you can sometimes hear the velco coming up. The wood slats are like warped so they arent all level and the one corner of the bed stuck up a bit because of the wood slat. I ended up turning the slats around so that one wasn't in the corner and it still does it. Also I got a few splinters when i touched the wooden slats. I also used a 14in mattress with the frame and I still have 2 of the headboard bars to prop the pillows against you just cant see the headboard but im ok with that. I was happy with how fast it shipped I received it in 3 days. Hope this helps others!

Ordered 2 beds, both missing same piece!!

I wanted to like these beds. In fact, we ordered one about 8 years ago and it has been perfect. This time we ordered 2 of the same twin beds and both of the sets are missing the same piece. If it were just missing from one set, that's one thing, but both?!?! It happens to be a vertical piece for each set so we can't set it up at all AND it's the weekend, so.... gotta wait til Monday to call. Company coming this week and we really need the beds by then. So disappointed!!!!

The WORST bed frame I've ever owned! AVOID

ZERO STARS - Bought this for my new house, built it as per the instructions. First night it begins to creak, groan and squeak like I've never heard a bed frame before. I thought maybe with the weight of a mattress and myself on there maybe it has settled during the first night, so I gave it a couple more nights of noises at the slightest sign of movement ( to let things properly settle) and gave all the bolts a once over to tighten things up. A couple of the bolts took some further torque so I figured "settling" was the issue. Not to worry I thought and the next night after the tightening the noises were a lot better. Twin version for heavyset user - short term use

Just like the others mentioned in their reviews, the twin version of this bed I Purchased was very wobbly after assembly. Been using it for several weeks now and its held up OK. We purchased for my mom after shoulder surgery and were able to easily attach a bed rail grab bar. She is a stout gal, about 230lbs, and the grab bar has gotten lots of use as she is getting in and out of bed frequently. Therefore there has been quite a bit of tension on the frame along with movement. In a month this will become a guest bed in the guest bedroom. I slept on it myself for a few nights to weight test it (I am 335lbs) and had no issues with swaying, bowing, or extreme frame wobbliness. It also helps to have an assistant while you assemble. Instructions were amazingly direct and easy to follow. I did not have any missing parts and no mis-drilled holes on my frame. Not sure how long this frame would hold up under the same usage conditions for the long term but for $99 if it falls apart in under a year I am not going to be super upset. Would I buy the bed again? For a guest room or short term daily use, perhaps, but the wobble factor could cause guests some initial concern. For long term use with active kids/teens using it I would pass. It looks nice and having a headboard helps if you need to use a ton of pillows to sleep inclined like my mom does right now. I would avoid butting the headboard up to the wall as the screw heads are on the outside. Any bed movement could leave marks on the wall.

Very good quality for cost.

Found this to be a great flatpack to assemble.Packaging was well done with no damage to frame.Great little socket wrench tool which made this really quick to put together.Required strong person to lift box but all parts inside were light indervidualy that 1 person will be able to put this together with no stress.Great attention to detail with velcro non slip on slats.Seems like great quality for price.Highly recommend if you like the design.Heaps of room underneath.

Zinus is solid, but a lot of work.

To start, this is a very inexpensive bed frame. I don’t mean that in a bad way, but I gave it another star because some of the complaints were mitigated by that. It’s easy to put together, but twice as difficult as another version (my sister bought basically the same frame and I put them both together). For example, on hers, the headboard is two pieces. Here, it’s six. And, one did not really fit. Same with the footboard. Hers was one piece and here it’s three. That’s a lot of extra screwing together, lots that can come loose, and therefore lots that can be noisy. I’ve slept on it once, and it was fine. Getting in it was a little noisy, but once in it was fine. It looks good and feels solid. If I’d paid more I would have been upset at all the extra parts.
