A heavy duty version of a classic lighter.

This is a Heavy Duty, "Armor" version of the classic Zippo that guys have carried for generations. Made in solid, high polished brass for a timeless, classy look. Mine lives mainly in my "smoking room" so it doesn't get beaten up or scratched. For a hard use version I'd go for the brushed finish in either brass or chrome to hide scratches - but still in the thicker walled "Armor" version. Zippo recommends the user install new wicks in an "S" pattern around the rayon balls that hold the fluid but, for some reason, they don't come from the factory set up this way. The wick is curled up underneath all the rayon. Before the first use, remove the flint screw and spring, felt pad and the rayon balls from the main compartment (the balls behind the flint tube can remain in place), then replace them while weaving the wick between each one. Replace the felt pad, flint, flint spring and screw. Now it's ready to fill up with fluid. I always keep a few spare flints underneath the felt pad for replacements away from home. I carried a Zippo many years ago in the mid 90's but got out of the habit after a few years. I've recently gone back to carrying them.

Disappointed

Disappointed when I opened the box to find several scratches on the lighter - as if it had been scrapped against something. I bought this as a gift for a friend and had his name engraved on it. The scratches are near and around his name - while not deep or extensive - it definitely detracts from the lighter. Poor quality control to let this out the door. Will not buy from them again.

GREAT JOB

Had this lighter engraved to celebrate 40 yrs. since my tour of duty. The lighter itself is very good, never knew they made an " Armour " edition, The engraving was excellent. Will purchase again from Executive Gift Shop. Great Job, from grateful veteran. Thank You, Delta Hotel.

Gorgeous

Looks and works great!

My engraving turned out beautifully, even with my german umlauts and the tiniest italic font. My boyfriend loved it. When he thought he lost it, I ordered another. The second one had an error in the engraving, and customer service responded to my email immediately and sent out a free replacement the same day. So respectful and hassle-free! For myself I ordered the silver version of this one that has a little loop for attaching to my phone lanyard. I love it and never lose it.

Not what I expected

Bought as a gift. I was embarrassed when my husband opened it and the lid was loose. He has many Zippo Lighters and it wasn't the quality he has purchased in the past. I was going to send it back, but he insisted on keeping it. He worked on it and the lid is better. It does light good but he has only had a few weeks and it is scratched pretty bad. On the up side it arrived quickly and the engraving looks good.

Perfect engraved lighter

I needed an engraved lighter and was disappointed in the options I was finding. But then I found the Executive Gift Shoppe. Most importantly, they had the high-polish brass Armor lighter, which was hard to find. Secondly, they allow three lines of text in several font options. And it was all for a very reasonable price.
