Ziwi Peak Daily Cat Cuisine Chicken Wet Cat Food - 12x185g

I have a very picky cat that I have been desperately trying to switch to a more nutritious food. Tried many « higher end » brands and she would not touch them. Then I remembered Ziwi Peak and it worked! At least for the last 10 days I have a 15-year-old cat that seems to be enjoying meals again AND her digestion appears better managed. I wish I’d made the switch years ago. She deserved better. I use both canned chicken and the freeze-dried topper, in separate bowls.

If you care about the health of your pets, please research (as I did) everything you can about pet foods. Ziwi is the best for nutrition. The peoples who provide for Ziwi, whether it's chicken, beef, fish, lamb, and rabbit provide their very best products. Small business, unlike some major pet foods. They're goal is quality not quantity. Ziwi is the only food for my fur babies! Never a recall, always available to discuss your pet. I'm so grateful for Ziwi products. My senior cats impress their (vet) doctor with how healthy they are.

Have a very picky cat that's getting older. After having a few health scares and figuring out she had rather bad allergies never knew about finally found something she can eat and thrive on. Thankfully was simple fix. Ziwi Chicken wet food has her meowing and circling my feet while getting ready. She's getting older but watching her run around playing like a kitten again has been amazing. I love this food and how well my cat's doing on. She's up to her demon summoning antics and plotting her brother's demise. Has been hilarious to watch. A bit expensive but when I think of all the vet bills would rather get good food than having her get sicker. Did I mention how much love this food? Gave me back my precious cat and all her weird kitty ways. :)

My cats are fairly picky eaters, and one of them has a very sensitive stomach and the other skin allergies. We are also environmentally conscious when we can be, and really care about what our pets are eating and where it comes from. We have tried all the other brands out there, open farm, smalls etc and this is the only one my cats gobble up and have no issues getting sick (even when transitioning slowly over a few weeks to new food). We only waited to try it out because of the price...but it is worth it!

Any one having same problem from recent order?

My cat has been using this product for quite a while.I ordered 12 x185g on 10 Jan 23. They not been used until Feb before previous stock finished. It was all right as usual at the beginning, until one day, my cat started vomit and diarrhea. Before making judgment, I did experiment: Stop the can only and keep all other food and treats as usual, so this is the only vibrable. The symptoms relieved in 2 days. While when Re-start the can, all symptoms came back in one day.Then I think it could be just a few certain cans got problem. So I stopped to give my cat any can from this order.Then I ordered another 12cans x 185g on 4 Mar 23. My cat was all right while waiting for new order. Chick peas

My cats used to love Ziwi years ago. I know have some kittens that are not enjoying this food at all I topped their food with other toppers including lightly cooked raw. They eat the toppers and walk away from this food. I actually hate the smell of it it does smell like it’s loaded with chickpeas which does not belong in cat food at all. Cats are obligate carnivores and do not do carbs well. I’m really disappointed because Ziwi we was at the top of my list as one of the better foods but not any longer. So I do understand recently it was bought out by another company. Quality has definitely gone down.

Couldn't Be Happier with This Cat Food

There are a few reasons why I really like this product. It provides a complete meal for my cat, which is fantastic. It's moisture-rich, which is great for my cat's hydration. Plus, it's ethically sourced, which is important to me. If there could be one improvement, it would be the availability in stores. Sometimes, it's hard to find. But overall, this product is a winner in my book.

Healthy Kitties

Since we switched to Ziwi, our kitties have been healthier and happier. One of our males kept getting UTI's and our girls are picky eaters and reoccurring pukers. The UTI's have stopped and the pukes have almost completely disappeared. (They like the food so much that they've been eating too much too quickly and puking. Which is much better than them not eating at all. Or eating a little and puking from upset tummies.) I like that there isn't much water in it. When I mix it for our kitties I can add as much or as little water as I want per cat. They like most of the flavors but 3 out of 4 cats hate the mackerel and the 4th one loves it. We haven't tried the veal yet. That is the next one on our list to try. Overall I greatly appreciate this food and so do our kitties.

Updated review - not good for cats

I wrote a 5-star review a few years ago when I first used this product, and it was good, for 2 months. After a few months both of my cats started throwing up. Their chickpea level is off the roof. It was just like a chickpea paste. And I have found out since that, cats should not eat chickpea at all. This product is loaded with chickpea so it is really not good for your cats.I do not recommend it. I have tried a few times to correct my review or write a new one to warn cat owners but chewy site doesn't allow me to post it. I now have to create a new account to post it. Ugh!

Wonderful that Ziwi peak chicken is back!

This is the very best for our dear cat. I tried another kind only because Ziwi peak chicken was not in stock. To my surprise and delight, the new kind was a hit! Not for long though and she threw it all up so I had to clean up the mess. No thanks, so I reordered Ziwi peak chicken which is back! What a relief! It seems that much of the American pet food industry doesn't put the best stuff into the food. They could learn a lot from New Zealand which has excellent standards, top quality! Thank you, Chewy, once again for supplying our kitty with the very best (though pricy!)
