My German Shepherd eats 4 cups of dry dog food and one can a dayHe gets one cup of Ziwi in his morning feedingI keep it separate and he definitely attacks this firstHaving some variety keeps him interested and may cover nutrients missed by a constant dietSometimes my dog is picky but if he leaves anything it is in the eveningNever this productMy shepherd had some problems with diarrhea when switching brands but never with this productI have standardized his dry foods because of this sensitivityThis is a great productI would just give him this if I didn’t have a budgetI have a big dog and a football player

Feeds so well! Every time I open the bag, I immediately have a dog nose in my hand looking for it - he's hooked. Has a great light and crunchy texture he loves, which I don't often see in really healthy brands of food. I'm excited to find a food with these kind of whole ingredients which I know will be so good for his coat/digestion. I've had to feed canned pumpkin to pups in the past, and this is way more convenient!

I had tried many different foods for my picky Great Pyrenees rescue. Honestly the only other option was to feed a straight raw diet which both for price and other reasons were not really an option. I started out try ZIWI as a topper, tried the canned, and then they came out with their steam & dried. She hasn’t skipped a meal since I started her on it.

I can't believe the energy level our 15 year old miniature Schnauzer has. He was diagnosed with CHF 3 years ago. Feeding him was a challenge. I tried everything. He devours this food. He's chasing lizards again and back to his puppy antics. It makes my heart happy. Every day is a blessing with him and I thank you for contributing to extending our precious time with him.
I've been a long time fan of ZIWI and their air-dried recipes as a meal topper and wanted to enhance my dogs' meals even more. When ZIWI launches steam dried I couldn't wait to try it. It's the same top notch quality with ethical sourcing and high meat content, but at a more affordable price to use as a base and with air dried on top. Its the best choice for my senior dogs and their digestion, skin and coat health, and overall well being. It's nice to not have to prep fresh or frozen food and I can just scoop and serve with no rehydration needed. They love the flavor and texture, and I love the convenience and health benefits. Keeps my boys looking and feeling youthful and happy!
I love this stuff. It looks like freeze dried meat rather than hard little kibble balls. My cats even like it — even the picky one (see photo of them eating it off the table). They tried to tear into the bag (see photo). My dog likes it as well. She’s been taking some medication on her food and I put this on top and she doesn’t even notice the medicine. High quality.
I would recommend this kibble for anyone to try for their dog based on the quality of its ingredients and positive reviews. My dog is a particularly picky eater which is why I tried this. Unfortunately, he is not taking to it and I am going to have to try something else. I still think it is a high quality food that should be given a chance. It seems other dogs go wild for it.
This dog is a grazer. You can leave a bowl full of kibble and he'll go through it all in about 3-4 days. He's like a little gazelle just grazing in the savannah. But topping the bowl with some ZIWI? He goes lion. That bowl is scarfed down as if he just bounced down a poor zebra and picked every inch of meat off of the bone. I can't full feed, otherwise he'll be like that frog from Shrek that gets blown into a balloon. 100% recommend, just be wary when you put the bowl down so you don't lose any fingers.
My dig loves all the different Ziwi varieties but beef with pumpkin, Lamb with green vegetables & Macerel & Lamb are his favourite. We use it as a whole meal & a topper, in his puzzles & for training. Only thing I was because hes only a 7 month Border Collie the pieces were a little bigger than the other two varieties, the mackerel being flat. I know with Kiwi Peak Im feeding my dog good food., price is a little high but all in all happy.
The ingredients in this diet are absolutely superb! You'd be hard pressed to find a kibble with a more natural, biologically appropriate recipe. Out of curiosity, I fed it to our dogs with no transition from their regular food to see if their stomachs would get upset from the abrupt change; I suspected they would do fine because of the lack of additives and reactive ingredients. I was right! No diarrhea, vomiting or even gas! They devoured it very enthusiastically and even the cats were interested in the kibble - a pretty tall order given that they're massive snobs.
