I have been using tofu litter for years now and this brand is by-far the best I've used! Smell is subtle. I personally mix the original and green tea scents together as I like a hint of a stronger scent. I have fussy cats and they have no issues with this litter. Great clamping, great odour control and so easy to clean.

I think its great that this litter is a lot lighter (easier for me to carry to my apartment) than other clumping litter. It also takes less storage space. The tofu is also absorbent and clumps well (does not get all muddy at the bottom of litter box). I think this litter would actually last for 2-3 weeks for one cat. However I had to switch this litter pretty much only after a few days because the smell was so strange. It was a sweet, green tea smell that reminded me of bubble tea? That was kinda weird since it lingered with a slight cat poop smell. I'm sure everyone has their own preferences though and should try it at least once!

This watermelon scent is great for odour control. I haven't tried other scented little yet but the original one from Kmart doesn't help much with odour control. It also made more track than this brand. It clumps well for urine so I just scooped up and flush it down to the toilet. It is also cleaner than wood pine litter. The wood litter doesn't help with poo much. However, it's more expensive than wood when you calculate the monthly usage. Wood one lasts longer. My overall experience with this Tofu litter is great. I'm currently using both Tofu and wood litter for my 2 cats.

Given the good reviews of this litter, I thought I give it a try. I have been using Kit Cat Soya Litter for my 3 kitties which is by far the most excellent cat litter I've used and because it's pricey, I thought Zodiac cat litter might actually be a good alternative as it's half the price of Kit Cat's. It does clumps well but the clumps keeps sticking at the litter box and it doesn't dry fast. And the pellets are so small too which tends to break so easily that makes it so dusty and keeps leaving tracks after my kitties use it. And lastly, the main issue for me is the SMELL. The clumps' odour is similar to Wee Kitty's Corn litter which I find overwhelming. It's only been two weeks and the litter is already stinking. I tried this when my usual litter became unavailable. I used to use clay litters which is dusty, but I thought it was ok for 5yrs, until I was able to try Tofu cat litter. This is the cheapest, so it was worth a try. It clamps really well, and my house is a lot cleaner. The cats are taking awhile to get used to it, it's over a month now, but they are starting to use this. I have 2 litters with sand, and 2 with tofu litter. I want to fully transition to tofu litter. I think this is better for my health and the cats due to zero dust. The original smells like powdered milk. I will try the other scents next.
This stuff is really good. I honestly buy this stuff & was attracted to it for the colour & packaging, which is really good. Clumps. Smells nice (no noticeable smell, usually). However, it only lasts about 2 weeks for a bag, before getting too low for him to use. I & Prince also dislike how tiny bits of tofu stuck together get throughout it, especially by the end of 2 weeks, it really needs to be changed by then, for aesthetic & mental purposes if not hygiene, as I'm sure they're relatively sanitary, they don't smell. Just, ew. Will continue to buy as I don't particularly like the look of other brands, and don't want to buy something made in China (hate all you like) 4 stars. I may see & try something else though.
First of all, if you're looking for a dust free kitty litter then you absolutely need to switch to tofu litter. We used clay for 4+ years and always hated the dust from clay. Tofu litter is not only dust free (or just so low in dust that I don't notice at all) but it clumps like clay! This brands clumping ability is pretty good, a bit better then the SoPhresh brand. The reason I deducted a star is because this brands litter clumps are a lot harder so it doesn't seem to dissolve as well so I don't like flushing it. Besides from that, it works really well. And I would never go back to clay!
Okay, so I'm honestly slowly getting use to using tofu business over clumping clays. It's so much lighter and easier to clean. No dust and clumps really well (expct not so much around dry poop). Doesn't have a great deal of scent. Even though it seems more expensive compare to the weight and cost of clumping clay, it's actually about the same! It lasts a while and you still get a bulk of it, just without the weight like the clay which is so heavy, which may give the impression of getting more for you money (but not true at all). I'm getting the hang to scooping the poop with these tofu noodles. Don't scoop a big chunk of it, literally scrape and lift the clumps off, and then drop it back down into the litter. I have been using quality clumping clay for a while (i.e. trix, etc) before I decided to give this tofu thing a go. Here's some points to consider: * This brand and grapefruit scent smells really nice! However it looks like pee stain color, mustard yellow. * Tofu clumps well BUT does not filter thru the scopes well due to its noodle shapes. *Tofu does not cover the poo unless there is enough moisture around it to stick. * Tofu is great in reducing dust! * Tofu is much lighter than clay. Despite getting a 3kg tofu vs 10kg of clay, I was surprised to realize that it wasn't that I was getting better value with my clay compare to the weight of it, the tofu was just much light and gave close to the same amount of litter cover. * Clay clumps very well and filters well, ... MoreI have been using quality clumping clay for a while (i.e. trix, etc) before I decided to give this tofu thing a go. So there you have it, the pros and cons of 2 two different litter products. Hope that helps. Cheers Lisa
My cat and I both like these. I used to use the paper pellets which is also good. I switched to this because it's flushable so less waste. Also because it's a clumping litter. I like the clumping option for ease of cleaning but don't like clay options (dust and respiratory for cats, clay dust, and less eco). The tofu pellets are softish and she seems happy enough in using these. The scent doesn't seem to bother her and adds a nice odour conceal. If she's had s particularly good #2 it doesn't really conceal the smell - but really neither does any litter. I was worried the small bag was pricey but because of the clumping it actually lasts a long time and I think this works out much cheaper for me.
