One of the best kitchen appliances I own. Turns out normal-looking loaves of awesome bread (6 so far - white, wheat, multi-grain from the recipe booklet) almost effortlessly. Bread is as good as I can make - but 8 minutes to load ingredients sure beats the hour and fifteen minutes of fussing over the course of five hours it took me to make three loaves when I did it the traditional way. WOW! Cleanup is fast and easy. Takes some getting used to the notion of waking up and having fresh bread for lunch. No need to make and freeze bread the way I used to - "Just In Time" fresh bread is AWESOME!

I have stalked this machine for 2 or more years. Sam’s Club stopped selling my Milton’s Multigrain Bread. Frustrated, I broke down and bought the Zojirushi Virtuoso Plus. Best investment that I’ve ever made. At about $6 per loaf, it won’t be long before I recoup money spent for the machine and supplies. Have made 10 loves of bread so far. All were so good and all but one came out perfect. I have since then made that one 3 times and adjusted the liquid to finally be successful at that Bread Dad multigrain recipe as well. Take the plunge. Purchase this bread machine for the best bread, even for novices like me. Happy baking.

I've been using this maker several times a week for almost 6 months. I use the recipe straight from the book. Our big family is all 100% gluten free and it was important to me to be able to make nourishing bread without artificial ingredients. I also wanted a product that would produce something similar in texture to store bought bread. This is definitely it! You guys, I'm thrilled with this maker. I'm frugal by nature and was slightly apprehensive at first to invest into this maker and the ingredients, but without a doubt I am SO glad I did! I recommend this to everyone trying to make gluten free bread. Every single loaf I've made has turned out excellent! A tip I picked up from a Zojirushi Instagram Live video, that helps, but isn't required, is to measure your ingredients by weight with a simple kitchen scale. The crew at Zojirushi is so helpful and offers great advice through their social media channels.

There's no better bread machine than a Zojirushi, period. I was waiting for this bread machine to go on sale for a very long time, and when I got it I regretted waiting so long. I've been using bread machines for almost 20 years, and the others I've had don't compare. Every single loaf comes out perfect, crust is thin, and results are repeatable. I also recommend getting a precision scale to help weighing ingredients, as measuring by weight is far more accurate, resulting in more consistent results, especially for people new to bread machines. Can you use measuring spoons, cups, etc.? Sure. It won't be very reliable, though, especially for key ingredients like yeast and sugar. I use two scales: a larger one for the flour and water, and a precision one for the rest.
Perfect machine producing perfect bread. Zojirushi produces perfect bread by their recipes Zojirushi Virtuosos Plus: Perfect Bread only if using cups with their measuring cup, not their listed gm of flour in their recipes. If you use the gm listed in their accompanying booklet it will not be perfect. Zojirushi has miscalculated the weight of bread flour and reproduced that grievous error in their recipe book, ruining all bread made with gm per their recipes. Each bread flour co. has listed weights of their bread flour per 1/4 cup. White Lilly is 30 gm per 1/4 cup. King Arthur is 31 gm per 1/4 cup. Zojirushi has miscalculated by 8.435 which will make all breads made with gm as measure heavy and dense, misshapen and not good. But, the machine is better than perfect. ... After doing my research I decided on this machine because it is programmable and had many great reviews. I wanted a new bread machine because my old Cuisinart was not programmable and the motor was beginning to struggle with some of my (1.5lb) recipes. I easily followed the instructions to program the Zojirushi the way I wanted for my Einkorn bread, but I can’t leave the machine alone to do it’s thing because it doesn’t mix properly. The dough ends up mainly around only one paddle and I have to use a spatula to spread it out across the pan when it is finished kneading (I never had to do this in the Cuisinart, though it only had the one paddle). I attached a picture of the dough balled up mainly around the right-sided paddle. After shaping the loaf myself with the ... I attached a picture of the dough balled up mainly around the right-sided paddle. After shaping the loaf myself with the spatula it baked perfectly and was a great loaf of bread. It also seems that there is no way to add time or to do a bake-only cycle if the bake isn’t finished, which is a bit of a drawback because I am always trying new recipes. I mainly bake gluten free and Einkorn recipes. I don’t know if it would behave differently with regular wheat flour recipes. The bread releases from the pan easily and the handles on the pan are easy to grip. Even though it requires tending, it is still much more convenient than mixing/kneading/proofing by hand and it keeps me from turning on the big oven in the summer, so it’s a keeper, but I am a little disappointed especially considering it was so expensive.
This is my first bread maker. It is helpful to read the instruction manual as a first time breadmaker user as it clarifies a lot small things that make a big difference to the final loaf that is made. The Recipe book is a treasure. So many varieties of recipes! There is an additional Zojirushi blog and a solid presence across Insta, FB and their website which gives enough options for any kind of dietary need. It takes roughly 4 hours to make one loaf that lasts our family of 4 for a week. If you buy and stock the ingredients, measuring out the ingredients (with measuring tools given by Zojirushi) is a 10 minute job. 10 minutes active work for 1 week's supply of bread is less than the time it takes to drive out to the store and buy a loaf!. Especially like that I can customize it to my taste, adding organic ingredients and completely eliminating needless preservatives. The actual loaf is HUGE! The bread is soft and a bit denser than store bought. I sliced it thin as each slice is about twice the size of a store bought slice. It is a fantastic buy, totally worth the spend, and so far the European breads have been my favorites to try.
This is my second Zojirushi breadmaker, the first version lasted me 20 years. Many improvements have been made over the years. This breadmaker is truly a marvel, making loaf after loaf of perfect bread, with all the features that you need. It is lacking a backlit display, but that's really only needed when starting the machine or determining how much time is left, so perhaps it is more reliable without it. The included recipes are okay, but there are a wealth of recipes on the web and in other cookbooks (such as the somewhat dated Electric Bread cookbooks) which turn out better than ever before. Breads have a perfect crust on all sides, thanks to the heating element in the lid.
I've only used it once and it seems to work well. I just have one major complaint. All of the preset programs and recipes call for "rapid rise yeast". Rapid yeast does not make good bread in my opinion. I never ever use it in any bread making. That means that all of the preset programs on the machine are useless to me. The "cookbook" recipes that come with it also only use rapid rise yeast making the whole cookbook useless also. The only setting I can use is the "homemade" setting where I have to blindly figure out the amounts to use in my recipe, the time to knead, the time to rise, the time for second rise, and time to bake. If you want to use normal regular yeast then Zojirushi leaves you totally in the dark and on your own about your recipe, amounts, and times. ... MoreI've only used it once and it seems to work well. It will take me dozens of loaves of bread to figure out how to use this machine with regular yeast. Maybe by next year sometime I will be turning out a good loaf of bread ? The only other problem is you cant set the mix/knead time for longer than 30 minutes. I need 41 for my recipe.
