The neoprene is just 1.5mm thick in the one-piece shoulder and chest panel, increasing flexibility for extended distance per stroke and consequently conserving energy. Aerodome panels improve buoyancy by having built-in air bubbles and are used around the hips and in the leg side panels to improve body position in the water.
