I've caught my betta a time or two with his back fin brushing the top, but for him -- it's a detriment that the beginning of the leaf sits so far from the glass. The suction cup is so big it makes it stick into the tank and not only takes up more surface space than I expected, but for fish that like to be at the glass, I haven't found a spot in the tank it works for -- but maybe your betta will love it. But this is nothing special and literally a suction cup and a fake leaf you could make it yourself [if the leaf is safe for the tank].

This product intrigued me. I got it primarily for looks and decor in my tank. Much to my surprise, the fish actually use it. I was so amused! I wouldn't change a thing. Great product for my little tank. My better seems to be happy. Try it out and tell me what you think!

I have two of these or rather, I had two. One of them started peeling so obviously it no longer resides in my tank. Although this is marketed for Bettas it’s a crowd pleaser. My betta uses it most but my otocinclis, ADFs and shrimp all love to take turns to lounge on this. Again, I would give this all the stars if not for the peeling leaf. I don’t know where the flakes went. I just hope it doesn’t cause issues for my aquatic pets.

I found the Betta leaf hammocks at a good price, so I bought a few. I like that they can be used at different levels by having several, so my Betta can choose which to use. The leaf attaches to the suction cup a little too easily. It can be moved at different angles and up/down, which is nice, but moves with little pressure on it, so I have to be careful not to bump them.
This thing isn't a gimmick or anything like that it's really good! Very well made the leaf is very smooth so no need to worry about your betta getting hurt. The leaf is long and wide and in a planted tank it just looks like apart of the tank (in mind any way) my betta hasn't used it as I'm aware at the moment but still a great little thing to have even if your betta doesn't use it the option is always there for him/her which I think is very important to keeping a happy betta. I'd recommend this to every and all betta lovers. Bettas need to rest/sleep near the surface level for oxygen they can and will sleep on the bottom of they have to but it's not nice for them so again if you love your betta buy this, it's awesome!
After taking this out to clean it, the dark green top coat (paint? Plastic?) started peeling and flaking off with just very gentle cleaning. I don't dare put this back in the tank, because microplastics are bad for fish, and can get into intestines and gills.If you bought one of these, you should check and remove it at the first sign that the coating is beginning to disintegrate. Might be a recent change to the product? Bought Fall 2020 at local competitor box pet store.Otherwise, the leaf is very cute and realistic looking, secures very well, and is otherwise easy to clean. We used it to add some shade to parts of the tank without getting in the way of swimming.ZooMed, fix your product's top layer and you'll have a winning product!
I bought this about six months ago, and my fish loveeddd it while it lasted. The past two times I went to move it to change my fish's water though the entire plastic coating on the suction disintegrated before my eyes. The first time I thought maybe it was a fluke, so I cleaned it off well and put it back. The second time though, the little pieces of plastic coating (almost microfibre like) disintegrated in the water of my tank, which really concerned me because I'm sure that couldn't be good for my fish at all. This would be a great product if it wasn't for the total faultiness of the coating on the suction. I wish I could recommend this product, but unfortunately the concern the coating caused is far too great.

The tip of the Leaf Hammock is sharp. I bought a medium and alarge size. The medium size injured my Elephant Ear Betta Fish. It CUT two third of his ear. I returned it. It is not suitable for some kinds of Betta Fish that swim fast. So I trimmed the tip of the other large size leaf to make it more round shape for my other big tails and big fins Betta Fish (Paradise male). The big tail & fins fish does not swim fast so he enjoys resting on the Hammock.
I bought this for my new Betta, Clarence. It was only in the tank for 2 days then I noticed it started to come unglued. I immediately removed it as there was a VERY pointed edge from the "stem" and that could cause serious damage to my beautiful Crowntail. More than half of it had came loose. I was kind of sad since Clarence just started getting used to it and resting on it. I felt like I was taking something away from him he started to enjoy. I told him it was for his safety, but pretty sure he didn't understand!
