Zoom F6 Field Recorder
Zoom F6 The Zoom F6 is the first professional field recorder to feature both 32-bit float recording and dual AD converters. Providing an unprecedented amount of dynamic range. With 6 inputs, Zoom’s solid time code, multiple power options and wireless control, the F6 is poised to be your new secret weapon. 32 Bit Float Recording In the field, fluctuating dynamics can prove challenging. Loud sounds can cause clipping and quiet sounds can get lost in the noise. The F6 uses 32-bit float recording with dual A/D converters to capture both explosive and subtle sounds at full audio quality – without ever adjusting gain! For Those Hard to Reach Places Rugged enough to withstand the most demanding scenarios and small enough to fit into the tightest spaces, the F6 will become your go-to recorder. Checks All The Boxes Mic Preamps Equipped with six professional-grade preamps. Featuring a super-low noise floor (-127 dBu EIN), high gain (up to 75 dB), and selectable mic/line levels for each input. Precision Time Code Keep your tracks perfectly synced even when you power down for lunch. On or off, the F6’s Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) generates time code at 0.2 ppm accuracy. Advanced Look-Ahead Hybrid Limiters Overload protection is provided with the addition of the look-ahead hybrid limiters. By adding a 1-millisecond delay, the limiters “look ahead” anticipating clipping before it’s recorded. Zoom AutoMix Keep your eyes on the action by automatically adjusting the levels of your mix to reduce ambient sound. The F6 ticks all the boxes.

Fantastic field recorder!!The 32 bit float recording option is the main reason why I bought this recorder and it works fantastic!Pre-amps are very quiet, so ideal for recording low sound levels such as nature/bird recording. It also allows for Ambisonic (quad) recording which is something one does not expect in package this size.It allows for 3.5 mm input via a Rode VXLR adapter and that works as well.Highly recommended for this price range.

A fantastic audio interface/field recorder. Use it as my audio interface throughout the day on PC (with Rode Broadcaster - sounds amazing), and take out on film shoots as my field recorder. Super versatile with great pre-amps. Would highly recommend.

The F6 Control app makes using this very easy, but you need to buy the bluetooth adaptor separately. I like that it can take NPF (Sony L series) batteries, as well as be powered with a bunch of AAs and USB 5v.

Amazing tool for a solo filmmaker, be able to don’t worried about audio levels is the most important part.
Love this awesome recorder!! Preliminary testing is good, heaps more to test. Very very happy with this piece of kit.
Its the best unit out of others (Tascam) I have owned - good sound and easy to use.
32-bit Float Recording is the biggest thing to happen to audio recording in 30 years. Why? Because it's UNCLIPPABLE. Because there's NO NOISE FLOOR.32-bit float audio has a mindblowing 1500+ decibel dynamic range (yes, really). No more riding gain levels, ever. You can also apply some insane EQ after the fact and it'll handle it all without any signal noise/smearing. Bang for buck, this is the greatest unit ever.Go check out Curtis Judd on YouTube. I'm never going back to 24-bit recording, and neither will you. 1000/10, blows my mind every time.
I am very pleased with this recorder and its quality. My only gripe, and this is the same with some other ZOOM products I have purchased, is that the accompanying accessories are of average quality, using cheaper plastic on certain bits where a more robust material could really make the whole package outstanding. As for the recorder, though, I am very pleased.
Great customer service, we were kept up to date with shipping and product related information which we much appreciated. Will definitely shop here again.
