I was so excited when I opened this set up for Christmas! I love the look of the set on my countertop. I love the knives and shears, and the self-sharpening feature of this block. Excellent Quality and a definite lifetime investment!

Knives are light and well balanced. Block is very nice. As expected from Zwilling, the knives are super sharp. We will see with time if the self sharpening block does the job of honing the edge.I was concerned with the plastic handles when ordering these online. Smooth, seamless, and just enough texture to keep a grip on them. Will be great for washing up as compared to my old wood gripped set of Spanish Henkels.

I love the stylish block and the self sharpening feature that comes with the block. These are the sharpest, smoothest cutting knives I have ever owned. The difference between these knives and cheaper knives are worlds apart. Also the handle and grip on these knives is excellent and well balanced.

Impressed with how sharp the knives are. And the self sharpening block is very convenient. Used only for a day. But it felt like a good quality product and I am optimistic about it being long lasting. However, the size of the knife block is slightly bigger than what I would have preferred. Also why sell a knife block and knife set with empty slots? Either make it a smaller block or add the knives for the missing slots!
I went in knowing I would be purchasing a Zwilling Four Star set, and was pleasantly surprised by this self sharpening option. The knives are made of forged German stainless steel in Germany. The handles have a comfortable grip that feel very secure in my hand. They are super sharp and strong. This block keeps them at their optimum sharpness at all times. The slots are easily labeled for which knife goes where because Zwilling engineered them for each individual knife, not a standard cookie cutter approach. This attention to detail is what makes Zwilling such a quality brand.
This Henckels self sharpening knife block set is just what I’ve been looking for for our new empty-nester’s apartment in Somerville, NJ.I have had Henckels knife sets for years, cooking for a family and parties and have always loved the quality and how balanced they felt in your hand, so when I saw a self-sharpening system available, it was a no brainer! Just tired of sharpening knives each time I cook. And I saw this and fell in love with the idea.My only dilemma is what to do with my previous large set of Henkels that have served me for over 25 years and are still perfect…just can’t part with them.As soon as I find someone that can use them, it will be a great gift, because they never wear out or go out of style.Great Product, Timeless and lifetime ... MoreThis Henckels self sharpening knife block set is just what I’ve been looking for for our new empty-nester’s apartment in Somerville, NJ.I have had Henckels knife sets for years, cooking for a family and parties and have always loved the quality and how balanced they felt in your hand, so when I saw a self-sharpening system available, it was a no brainer! We've had our J.A. Henckels knives for over 30 years and they are still excellent. We're giving them to our daughter and getting our likely last set. These are so high quality and now sharpening will be so much easier with the block that does it! Really excited to own a new set while gifting our old, but still great knives.
Wow. Game changing. The knifes are so light yet cut everything effortlessly. They feel strong and you can see the quality as soon as you wash it and see the water wick away. My biggest pet peeve is to have a dull knife and this keeps me from having that experience. It’s elegant and sturdy and worth the investment!
