Zwilling Now S 8-Pc Knife Block Set - Grenada Orange

The quality of craftsmanship of these knives is incredible. I love the handles which are ergonomically sound. Incredible German craftsmanship ensures the edges of these blades remain sharp. Kit also includes sharpening steel and poultry scissors along with a butcher block. This company stands behind their product with their incredible warranty. I would most certainly purchase their products without hesitation in a future. So far I'm incredibly happy with my Zwilling knives.

Beautiful Set - Lightweight but Strong and Sharp

After reading previous reviews posted for the past two years, I wondered whether this set would be worth the price. I need not have worried. These knives, though lighter in weight than my current Zwilling/J A Henckels, have very comfortable handles and fit my hand nicely. Also, they are very sharp and 'm sure they'll stay that way when honed on a regular basis. This Lime Green 8-Piece Knife Block Set looks beautiful on my kitchen island, however, I would have liked it more if the knife block base had a bit of a forward leaning angle built in. My motto has always been - "If you want to get the most value for your money, just buy the best" These knives are among the best I've used. From a longtime customer - Thank you again, Zwilling.

Excellent quality vs the price...

My wife has wanted a good knife set for many years. There was a rather large sale or, just a great price on this ZWILLING Now S 6-pc Knife Block Set, so I thought OK I'll buy it. Overall the knives are all excellent and crazy sharp. I knew they may not be the heaviest gauge knives because the price was so low..but still the overall quality is excellent vs the price-point..or vs the usual Made in China copy knives. Speaking of which, I deducted 1 star because ONLY the scissor which is actually excellent, IS Made in China and far as I know, I thought everything here was made in Germany. I do wish perhaps like most knife sets the knives would go in more like at a 45 degree angle rather than straight up. Great Sale Value

Bought this set for less than $100 on a Labor Day sale based on reviews I read that indicated the knives are long lasting and of good quality. Initial impression agrees with the sharpness. I am not sure that I would have bought them had I had the opportunity to handle them first. They are much lighter than any other knife I've used. Still, very sharp out of the box. Even if they wear out quicker than I'd like, for the price I paid, they're a great value.

Insanely Sharp

This product gets all the same marks as the 2 piece finisher set I ordered with it. I did the single page cutting test, and these knives slide through like it isn't even there. I only did it once because I don't want to waste that gorgeous edge on paper. They are light in the hand and look beautiful in my home. I love the colorful knife block, and the fact that it has drainage holes in the bottom to keep moisture from building up just on case any gets in there. I hope to get YEARS of use out of these.

Lightweight and compact

Exactly what I wanted. Fit the description. I don’t cook often so I can put this in a cabinet easily to free up counter space. Nice small footprint. I have a newly built home and I can pull the front knives and scissors out without hitting the 42” uppers. Good rubber feet on the block, must pick up to move. Knives are SHARP sharp sharp haha! They cut very well. I was looking for lightweight knives and these are perfect. Also, the pop of color is just what my kitchen needed! Bought the two extra knives to complete the set and feel it was worth it. Yes the scissors are made in China but the blades are still sharp. Overall, this is one of my favorite purchases in the house so far! Worth it.

Sharp and stylish

You don't realize how dull your knives are until you cut something with a Zwilling knife. Even with sharpening my last knife set it was never as close to as sharp and easy to cut as these. I am in love! This is my first knife splurge and glad I did it. You have to be careful cutting if you have never cut with a sharp knife. The blueberry color is so stylish and I love that the wooden slot space is upright and compact. So lovely I don't mind it hanging out on my kitchen counter. Def treat yourself with this set.

Sharp but light

Good quality steel, but thin blades. That, combined with plastic handles, makes them quite light. And not easy to press down for Thick cutting—the top of the blades are too thin to comfortably place forefinger on. A nice set for occasional or light cutting.

Some minor gripes but overall a nice simple set

Firstly, I liked that knifes are extremely sharp and light. Some reviews mentioned that they feel slightly cheap because they are so light, but the blades themselves do not feel flimsy. I was happy with the color as well, which looks nice with surrounding house plants and doesn't make it seem too cheap. Assuming there's no damage or anything, I think this is a good set for someone starting to cook or living alone.On to parts that I didn't particularly like - the block has the knives standing straight up and makes it a little awkward to move knives in and out. I will probably have to make something so that the block can sit at an angle, comfortably without slipping. Honestly the scissors are solid after a months use, but it just feels a little bit like I was sold short/misled.Lastly, I noticed that there was damage on the knife block as soon as I opened it (picture attached). It's fairly minor, but definitely not something I'd want to see on a new set. I didn't see any damage to the box so it's unlikely to be shipping damage.
