An Accident Waiting to Happen

Cleaning this cutter involves snapping it open, wherein the sharp blade slips into your hand. You then have to hold the sharp wheel while cleaning it.While others may not have a problem, I view this as a deal breaker.

Awful Design

I never hated anything like I hate this cutter. After what seemed like a lifetime trying to open it up using internet directions and video I was successful. However, as soon as I closed it, it was as if I never opened it. The concept is good but the design is poor.

Best pizza cutter

We actually bought one of these at crate and barrel at least a year or so ago. We both agree it’s by far the best pizza cutter either one of us have ever owned. We are in our 50’s so we’ve used others. Love how it fits in your hand right down by the pizza. I’m a man and I have no issues washing it. Hold it and wash the wheel as it spins and flip to do same.. simple as that. I’m going to order one for my daughter and son-n-law because we kinda got them making their pizza at home.

Cuts great hard to o0en safely

I love this pizza cutter! It is so n8ce and sharp!. There is no denying my food is cut all the way through. I also love that it comes apart for cleaning. I just wish it was not so hard to open. I think with time that will change.

Impossible to open for cleaning

Not a bad pizza cutter. Horrible design as far as cleaning though. No way to open it. I see many others have had the same experience with it. I'm using my ever solid, easy to clean Kitchenaid cutter that I've had for many years!

Not like the original

This was on sale so maybe it was a bad batch or old or something. We have another one bought many years ago and is still working well and holding up great and still cutting great. I bought this because it seems like one is always in the sink needing to be washed and needed a backup. I use it for pizza, quesadillas, cutting dough for garlic knots, etc. Anyway, this one didn't open easily to be washed and almost impossible to close afterwards. Its cheaper made and the quality won't last. If this was my first one I would have never bought another.

Zyliss Pizza Cutter a Good Value

This is my second purchase of this version of the Zyliss Pizza Cutter. My first occurred roughly ten years ago. Zyliss changed the color from white to red and this version's seems just a little less "solid" than their previous iteration. I suspect they have thinned the plastic a touch. That said, I still love the design and ease of use over conventional, handled pizza cutters. This cutter "disassembles" for easy cleaning and then goes right back together again. Overall a great product that would have gotten five stars had I not owned an older model to compare it against.

Zyliss works great (once you get it unwrapped)

The Zyliss Pizza cutter is a great, sturdy, cutting tool for pizza or if you want to cut burrito wrappers to bake your own low carb tortilla chips. However, I had a devil of a time trying to remove the cutter from its original store packaging and was afraid it was going to break in the process. I spent 20 minutes trying to free it from the packaging! I hope the Zyliss company makes changes so it is easier for customers to remove the cutter from its protective packaging. Once you get the Zyliss out of its protective store packaging it: (1) works great (2) is easy to use (3) is easy to open for cleaning (4) and will last for years (since the one I just bought is for my son who got an apartment, and my own Zyliss cutter is around 20 years old).

great except.....

The Zyliss pizza wheel is terrific for cutting pizza, but the plastic cover/handle is incredibly difficult to open to clean the thing. I went to other reviews of the device and have found most people have given up and wash the whole thing in soapy water. Gather a previous design was easier to deal with, bu this is what we've got. :-)
