Long story short, the biggest failure of this mattress is the foam top. Above the springs is an overly thick layer of low quality foam that is the main support. It is not latex nor memory foam but just firm foam. It packs down with your body weight after about 10 minutes leaving a hard indentation from where you were laying. You must then roll out of this spoon shape dip or you will have incorrect posture and a sore back in the morning. Your hips will sink considerably lower than the rest of your body. I find that this leaves me very restless. I have put up with this for 4 months so have definitely given it a good test. There is also very little edge support. This mattress is fantastic, while Ive only used it for the last week, Ive already noticed improvement in my sleep, its taking a lot less time to drift off than before. As far as the firmness goes I would say the rating is correct it feels like a 6-7 of 10 or high end medium firm. Some criticism Ive seen is that the mattress is too soft on the edges. Ill say it is quite soft on the edges and corners however who would be sleeping on these areas of the mattress anyway? Someone pointed out it isnt high enough, well not that my old mattress of 20+ years is the best thing to go off, but this new one is at least 1/3 higher than my previous queen mattress which is fine. Ordered the queen eurotop pocket spring latex mattress after reading multiple great reviews. It came quickly and was easy to set up by myself. Was heavy but not as heavy and hard to menouver as my old flippable mattress. It inflated very quickly. It is on the softer sode but I believe that is because my base has sprung slats. It is extremely supportive and I have been waking up without stiffness and soreness like I was previously. I have ordered a new base with normal slats which I believe will be better. Minimal partner disturbance and isn't hot. Incredible price for an incredible mattress, highly recommended!
