I had been using Purina Pro Plan for my puppy as it was recommended to me by multiple vets (they gave me sheets that had multiple choices of recommended food). DO NOT buy that stuff for your pet. I was giving it to my puppy for about nine months and she continually had problems with soft stool. I always chalked it up to stress or her getting into things she shouldn't... But finally I realized that was ridiculous and called my vet and they said to try Hill's science diet. My puppy is picky too so I had tried multiple foods before the Purina and she didn't like them, but she loves Hill's! And she has consistently solid stool! It is so wonderful! I will be a Hill's science customer for life!

The next day I bought a bag on my way home and never looked back. It was like night and day and we never had to rush outside anymore for a bathroom trip. After he turned 7 I switched his food to the Science Diet Adult 6+ version thinking that he should be on senior food because he was older. Shortly after starting him on the new food his nose started getting really dry and poops were getting squishy. When I asked the vet about food allergies, he waved it off and said the dry nose was common in older dogs and prescribed a cream to help clear it up. Leap ahead almost two years, he is still on the food for older dogs and the dryness never cleared up, cream was a waste and just got licked off. All during this time I still believed there was some kind of food allergy that was causing the dryness so after debating changing his food again I decided there was nothing to lose and I put him back on his original food. Within three weeks, the dryness cleared up, his coat got softer and well, poops got better too! I see no reason to change and will continue him on this food for the foreseeable future. I am glad I trusted my gut and I am pretty sure my fur baby is glad too!

Hills Science Diet is a fantastic reputable brand that we love to feed to our Great Dane Roxy. Never have an issue with an upset tummy or Roxy not interested in eating her biscuits. We have tried the Chicken and Barley recipe. Not artificially preserved, no synthetic colours or artificial flavours. Easily available to purchase in stores or online, variety of sizes available for adult dogs 1-6years old. Hills Science is a premium brand and it does come with a higher price point, worth the price when your pet is super happy and looks great with her shiny coat.

I received these dog biscuits with the tinned food. Leroy usually has the same biscuits all the time so he was super excited to try something different. He does turn his nose up at other biscuits sometimes so I was interested to see how this product would go. I was surprised when after eating his raw chicken and the tinned food we got given was done and demolished he continued to eat his biscuits which he usually leaves for later. It is now one of his favourite day time snacks. Will definitely be buying these biscuits again!

My labrador, who used to eat literally anything you'd throw at him, has recently become a very finicky eater for no apparent reason. He is 6 years old and has always had itchy skin and is very prone to getting ear infections. I tried different brands and flavours of food and a lot of it he would either barely touch, or not eat at all. Finally I bought a bag of this food and thankfully he eats it well. He still doesn't devour it like he used to do with other foods long ago, but he actually finishes his meals, which he was not doing with other foods. In addition to this, I am very happy that his skin and ear problems have gotten better since he started eating this. (He has been eating it for about 4 months).

My dog loves Hill’s Science Diet Adult Chicken Barley recipe. It was highly recommended by my veterinarian. I love the natural, high-quality ingredients it has. It is easy for my dog to digest, and he loves the taste. He has so much energy, and his coat is super shiny. He is also at a healthy weight. I feel good about giving this to him. He comes running when it's time to eat, and he has healthy stools, which is fantastic. The packaging is good as it keeps the food fresh. It's affordable for the ingredients. This is a great product.

My dogs love this food, the only negative thing I have to say is the way the bag is shaped. The top of the bag has what I'd call pleats so when you pour it in it doesn't spill all over the place. Problem is if you are older or have a bad back you can't pick it up to pour it out due to the weight. When I've used about 3/4 of the bag I can then pick the bag up and put into my dog food keeper. Due to the way it's made it's also hard to get the food out if you want to use a large bowl so you can transfer it to a smaller container. The top is velcro which I really like and use it as a trash bag after it's empty.

The picture shows the size of the chunks next to a dime...nowhere does the bag state "Small Bites". This is the same food I've used for years and it was not small bites. UPDATE: I researched this on the Hill's website and this is their new formulation and size. They have added soybean meal and brewer's rice, in addition to resizing the kibble to small flat discs. I do like the resealable bag. Hill's, your packaging needs to state "New kibble size" or something similar. Like other reviewers, I first thought it was the wrong product in the same bag. My dogs love it as much as the old formulation. They are 35 and 45 pound dogs and they tend to swallow the small bites without chewing. I'm not sure there is any difference between the alleged new and old formula. My 9 year old pup didn't notice any difference. We didn't make a gradual transition to the new food, ran out of the old, moved on to the new, no issues with a slight finicky eater. We've been using this food since she was 1. Hopefully the attached pics will help you make a decision. The new resealable bag is awesome!

Great product

I’ve been buying this product for 2 years now, I found it’s great on sensitive tummies but also gives plenty of nutrition for growth and energy for my 2 kelpie x GSD they weight about 30kg on average. They eat their kibble with ease and no fussy noses. My girls live on property and have energetic days and they are in great condition with great shiny coats. I use no other product other then hills adult for them
