I bought a can of Rustoleum in Colonial Red. Trouble is that the colour did not match the colour on the lid or label and was far lighter when sprayed on. Definitely wasn't what I would regard as 'colonial' red. Paint had to be removed because it wasn't even a close match.

Claims to have double coverage and cover up to 4.5 m2 per can. I managed to put one coat on a door (less than 2m2) before it ran out. At $16 per can that's expensive painting. I didn't find that the spray pattern was particularly good so it was hard to get even coverage. Despite the claim the the spray button reduces fatigue, my finger was getting tired after continuous spraying. Finish seemed pretty good - I did get some drips at the start but that was probably my technique.

Horrible! If a smooth quality finish is what you’re after, forget this product. I have used plenty of spray paint in the past but oh my, nothing but dramas with this one. Pinholes and parting paint on every coat, even after sanding back to remove bad layers. Waiting 48 hours before reapplying as specified also produces the same issues. No, I did not apply too much and yes, I did perform the correct prep work. I also ensured that the environment was well within specified constraints, but to no avail. The only plus side of this product is that the nozzle isn't prone to clogging, but I’d rather have that than a paint that's extremely temperamental. This product might work well on basic wood projects, but iron is a no go. Nothing but an uphill battle from the start with ... MoreHorrible! Agree with Joey from Rockhampton, had the same problems even after following all the directions on can. Will never buy this brand again.
Have bought this product several times to resurface light switch covers. Easy to use and gives a durable surface result.
Terrible spray pattern and large droplets cause a bumpy uneven finish. Terrible adhesion and fish eyes galore. Stripped and used another brand of spray and it laid down beautifully. I do NOT recommend this paint, steer clear!
Terrible. Like others have said, orange peel effect, bubbling, runs. I was painting powerpoint covers. I did half with the Rustoleum and the other half using the dulux vivid white. The ones with Dulux were absolutely fine.I also used on aluminium and had the same problem.
I got this to paint some MDF a high gloss white.even on a light coat, it runs, or it instantly creates an orange peel on the primer coat. I am so disappointed with this product.
