In the airport operations environment, I'm outdoors much of the shift and find these boots are not only comfortable but waterproof as well. Been slogging around through puddles and driving rain without a leak. Don't even notice the safety toe, but haven't had anything land on my foot, yet.Good job!

These are the worst 5.11 boots I bought to date. I’ve bought 3 pairs of 5.11 boots. First 2 were the 8 inch tall boot and those were ok and they last 2-3 years as a correctional officer. Recently I bought this boot because it’s summer and it’s extremely hot so I bought these thinking the new “breathable tongue” would maybe be a upgrade it is not these are extremely hot and get your feet humid and are extremely tight on the top of your foot. I suggest going a .5 up your size. This sucks too because they are super expensive and I kept wearing them trying to break them in and giving them a chance.

The boots met all my expectations. Perfect fit, very comfortable and professional looking. Took a few hours to break them in but even during that process the boots were comfortable.Worth every penny.
I had the 8” version of these boots for over a year. They were great and very comfortable. Once I added some insoles with arch support to these boots they got better. Stock insole doesn’t give any support. Missing having knife pouch that I had in the 8”. They just didn’t have the 8” available anywhere when I needed these boots.
I bought these boots for my best friend who works in corrections. The boots are great, the only issue I have is the misleading description on the website. It says the 6 inch boots come with a hidden knife compartment, which I did not find. I also looked online, and could not find any information regarding the hidden knife compartment.
Thanks for realizing the Error of your ways; when you disconnected a Good Boot. However Why is “Regular” a D & Large only one size up??? Regular should be a B or C Width! And make this in Women’s in an A or B width and larger sizes too!!… 12,13,…
I personally enjoy wearing the a.t.a.c side-zip and these were for my older brother for making sargeant at work. On top of that it's hard finding actual wide boots and he was amazed as soon as he put the boot on. Been wearing them ever since and so have I! Great job 5.11
Definitely well built. I bought them for my son especially for the snow. He is new in EMS and doesn't realize the importance of staying warm and dry during a long shift. I think these boots will help
It seems as though these boots are no longer an option. I loved these boots and would have bought more just to have on hand if I had known they wouldn't be made anymore. Why is the only option the "2.0" now? I love the 6-inch but the new "2.0" isn't really 6-inch.... but more like 8-inch and bigger and bulkier for whatever reason. You can see in the photos the 2.0 is 8-inches. Why advertise that they are 6? Bring back the originals please! I will be returning my new 2.0's because they are ridiculous.
