Making sparkling water at home has never been so elegant. The Aarke Carbonator 3 was designed from the inside out to be the slimmest and most compact sparkling water maker. Forget the plastic sparklers of the past when it comes to performance, environmental sustainability and durability, it can't be beat. The Carbonator 3 is constructed with a seamless stainless steel body that fulfills both form and function as the backbone of the machine. The most noticeable new feature of the Carbonator 3 is the newly designed precision nozzle, which is CNC machined from a single piece of stainless steel. The result is a beautifully polished nozzle that produces a smooth, controlled spray. The movement of the lever is newly regulated by a rotational damper that allows for a more controlled pressure release in the bottle. The damper also allows for a higher fill line on the cylinder without causing performance issues. The end cap of the lever is now made of stainless steel with an eyecatching spinning finish. The iconic Aarke bottle is now slimmer than ever with an all new refined shape. The bottom piece of the bottle has also been redesigned and features a screwin mechanism for increased durability. The ability to separate the metal and plastic components also makes it possible to recycle the bottle at the end of its life. The PET bottle is still BPAfree and nontoxic and is suitable for use on the countertop, on the dining table and in the carry bag for onthego. A new graphic design for the machine and PET bottle packaging makes the products stand out even more. The machine packaging now also comes with a cleaning cloth to help you keep your new kitchen gadget spotless.

This was recommended you me after feeling frustrated by all the broken Sodastreams I have gone through over the years. The functionality of this is top notch, I have not had any problems after a full year of using it constantly. The lever is fun to pull, the bubbles it makes are appropriately assertive, and it looks fabulous on our counter top with the hybrid vintage/modern style it exudes. I just love it!

Was soooo looking forward to this, especially since it’s so BEAUTIFUL and we love sparkling water. If you like carbonated water and cannot drink it once it’s been sitting out for a couple hour, skip this. The bubbles are sooooo faint even after using 8 pumps of carbonation. Nothing like Pellegrino, Perrier, bubbly, etc. and before other reviewers come for me, yes - I unscrewed the bottle, re-screwed, and continued to add carbonation to no avail. I’m so disappointed.

Expensive. But we love it. We had a 1st gen sodastr ... for years, 12 total. It served us well but it was loud. When we saw this in Copper, we fell hard and saved our money. The bottles we have and the CO2 cannisters from the other brand are 100% compatible! So we only invested in this machine, we didnt have to rebuy the rest. The operation is so much smoother and quieter so our neighbors probably appreciate that. And its pretty. Its appeasing to see out on the countertop. Mo regrets here.

I originally had the popular competitor's product. It lasted almost 2 years but eventually started leaking and the only option appeared to be to replace the unit. It is now plastic waste I wanted to avoid creating when I bought it.This product is significantly pricier, however it is stainless steel, and the bottle screws in, so the only moving part is the lever to carbonate the water. Fewer moving parts = fewer things to fail.It is a solid piece of equipment that really feels like it will last a LOT longer than the comparatively flimsy plastic of the competing product. It even comes with a spare rubber gasket/ring which is the part that can wear out most quickly. So instead of the planned obsolescence after 2 years that the competition seems to embrace, I'm ... MoreI originally had the popular competitor's product. It arrived on time and in appropriate packaging to protect the product. Definitely satisfied with their service as well.
This looks great but just doesn't work consistently. It should be easy to use as all you do is screw the bottle into position, and pull the lever down. You then hold the lever in place until a buzzing noise comes from the machine. However, it's completely impossible to tell how much gas is left in the cylinder, as sometimes only a tiny bit of gas comes out, and other times it works perfectly. It's so inconsistent that sometimes you can't carbonate the water at all, even with a new gas cylinder.I returned the first one I bought as it went from working every time to barely at all within a few weeks, and now the second one is doing the same.Because it sometimes works I thought I might persevere with this one, but it's too expensive a product for it not to work ... MoreThis looks great but just doesn't work consistently. We LOVE THIS and use it daily. I am blown away by other poor reviews - the Aarke is beautiful, has a small footprint and zero cords. This is very very simple to use, and has the perfect amount of sparkle. We use soda stream co2 as they’re more accessible than the aarke ones. Other sparkling water makers are an eye sore, and cheap. If you’re an annoying millennial that wants something functional AND beautiful this is it girlies.
Got this years ago. It's quick and easy and does not require electricity. Calorie free delicious beverage. Saves the plastic we used to waste when we bought PelegrÃno. Reminds us of dinners in small towns in Italy. Easy to replenish the SodaStream carbon dioxide canisters with a SodaStream account. Exchange is by mail. The device looks attractive in the kitchen.
We've had this working in our home for a bit under 2 months now and are still quite impressed. We love that it is mostly metal, super simple to use, has a very small footprint, is actually attractive on your countertop or in your bar, and doesn't need to be plugged in. We actually tried to tally just how many uses we were able to get out of the first cartridge we purchased and we believe we actually got more than 120 cans out of it - based on only 2 pulls per bottle (we don't feel the need for a third pull and honestly never tried only one lol) That's not an exact science by any means, and that cartridge may have just been a winning fluke - we'll see as we are tallying our 2nd cartridge now... but knowing that we are getting 120 can out of a $15 refillable cartridge ... MoreWe've had this working in our home for a bit under 2 months now and are still quite impressed. And we are no longer contributing to the recycling issues or adding to landfills because we are able to reduce our usage of aluminum with this little marvel!I just truly hope that it lasts for a very long time, can't see why it wouldn't, unless something with the pull lever itself fails... but only time will tell. I feel quite good in telling everyone to go ahead and purchase this if you like reducing your footprint while loving as much carbonated water as you can handle!
"Let’s face it, flat water is a cornerstone to life. You need it to exist. Unfortunately, it is flavorless, flat, and just all around boring to drink. Carbonated water is just better. It's like flat water's way cooler and more fun sibling. It makes you want to drink water. But all those cans and bottles are so bad for the environment and your friends look at you like a neanderthal for going through recycling bin after bin of empties when all you're trying to do is be healthier. Enter the Aarke Carbonator Premium. This thing hits on all the points: 1) You get to drink water that you enjoy 2) It's basically a functional work of art and you will love to have it displayed in your kitchen, unlike the clunky plastic shells used by SodaStream. (Full disclosure, I've used SodaStreams for YEARS and it was my #1 purchase in 2012), but they break. There, I said it. 3) It is pricy, but it works exceptionally well and is very solidly built. 4) When you upgrade, all the SodaStream bottles (water and co2) work with it. 5) C'mon, look at it. If you're reading this, you already want it, and you just want someone to say it's a good idea. Let me say it right now. Buy it. You won't be disappointed."
The carbonator works well. I would have liked to get the one that you dont have to twist in but it wasnt available at the time. I also think the premium paid for that feature is a bit high to replace my current one as it is still functioning as expected. My issue is with the bottles. The fill line is rubbing away. This is a pretty important line. Its a pain if you have to guess how high till fill it because you keep having to make adjustments after each time you screw the bottle in to the carbonator. Also there is some discoloration forming on the inside of my cap. It looks to be between the outer plastic and some sort of coating. Its a brownish color. I'm not sure if it is rust but it shouldnt be there on a bottle at this price point. I have a feel that the coating ... MoreThe carbonator works well. I have a feel that the coating it meant to make screwing it in smoother and it just didnt adhere to the cap very well so something is able to get in between. Maybe its bacteria as rust shouldnt be an issue here.
