I was in high school when this came out in 1996. Shortly thereafter was when I discovered it and it's probably THE one that got me hooked on fragrances. Everyone in the early 2000's was wearing this, but for good reason. It just smells good! For me it's probably the mixture of neroli and citrus. I'm a fan of both. It's fresh an clean smelling. I'll probably always have a bottle on-hand despite not wearing it very often anymore. It's nostalgic for me. I gave a 20 year old work buddy a sample of this recently and the smell lit his eyes up when he sprayed it on his wrist. The next day at work he was wearing it and I realized just how good it is. Almost made me fall for the scent all over again, as I haven't smelled it on anyone lately. Almost all of us have this in our ... MoreI was in high school when this came out in 1996. Acqua Di Gio by Armani is a classic scent that many people own, so you may not stand out as being unique if you choose to wear it. It’s been around for a long long time. However, that being said, it is a fragrance that smells great and fresh, with a prominent melon opening note that gives it a light, summery vibe. I’m a huge fan of melon notes so to me this is a fantastic fragrance. I would recommend one of the flankers like Profumo if you want a twist that differentiates your cologne while maintaining the same DNA. Objectively it’s a fantastic fragrance, it’s just too common. There’s a very good chance that you’ve smelled it before. I’ve heard that it’s the best selling fragrance of all time. I don’t know if that’s true but I can believe it. The scent is definitely ... I have been wearing Giorgio Armani Acqua di Giò Eau de Toilette men’s cologne for at least 10 years now. I just keep buying it every year or two because I love it so much and am obsessed with the scent. I keep trying other colognes, and while I do like some of them, this is by far my favorite cologne I’ve ever had. I would personally describe the scent as clean, fresh, citrusy, and maybe slightly floral? It’s a very unique scent to me that I haven’t smelled with other men’s colognes. It’s a very versatile scent that can be worn year-round. I usually spray about 3-5 sprays as Eau de Toilette’s are commonly a little weaker than a parfum. The projection of the cologne isn’t overpowering, but other people can smell it when close to you. I bought this one in a gift set ... You can usually find some kind of deal, discount, or bundle around the holiday season! And once this one is gone, I’ll buy another!

Acqua Di Gio in 2024. When I started my fragrance journey, I purchased this one early on. One way I like to measure how good a scent truly is for me is if it stands the test of time as I collect more scents. With ADG, the more I purchased, the more I loved this one. All it took was one spray for me to appreciate the citrus notes in this one: fresh lemon, neroli sea notes are what I pick up the most from this. I'm not going to lie say I can detect all 100 notes in this, but just know that the freshness is so pleasing on any day, especially a summer day or a relaxing one indoors. This has become my go-to scent when I am at home or running errands just want to smell clean without standing out, I know that every time I have passed someone with a nice citrus scent on I ... Despite owning over 100 scents, I went through a 100ml bottle and am currently 2/3 through my 300ml bottle, this fragrance is no joke easily blind-buy safe. A 300ml bottle is worth the investment since this lasts not even 3 hours on me and I respray throughout the day. A timeless scent, from a beautiful fragrance line. 9.3/10
Acqua di gio EDP takes the original Acqua Di Gio edt DNA and ramps everything up to make it a more noticeable version of itself. If you found the original to be too faint and airy with nothing to show but freshness then you will like the change in this. Even if you like the EDT I think you will appreciate this. I personally prefer Profondo over the EDT and EDP, but my uncle loves edt and doesn't care for Profondo. So if you're like him then I think you will enjoy the EDP. The EDP cuts the amount of notes in half but still has more going on then the EDT dose. It more citrusy, and mature thanks to the green Mandarin, and Carly sage, that almost makes it reminiscent of Hermes h24. I'd recommend to try and get a sample first so you can learn about the fragrance threw multiple wears or even on a tester strip so you can smell the whole fragrance as much as you can.
The bottle is sleek and square exuding the timeless quality the fragrance launched in 1996. Ever since, Acqua Di Gio has turned into a classic scent for any man. I jumped out of the morning shower and felt the slight texture of the frosted glass as my fingers wrapped around the squared off sides of the 20ml bottle. My bathroom lights from above refract through the glass and create an aquatic aura calculating the notes trapped within the frosted prison. I press to release the juice and saturate my pulse points. Instantly, I forget that I am in my Oregon bathroom and see myself walking through groves of Orange during the time of their life when their blossoms release essence in the soft air currents. Instantly, I forget that I am in my Oregon bathroom and see myself walking through groves of Orange during the time of their life when their blossoms release essence in the soft air currents. Ocean water in the distance crash upon beach rocks and create a magical ozonic atmosphere that is cool, refreshing and briny. I smell lemon at the top mixed with orange and jasmine, I am welcomed and kissed with a Mediterranean semblance. Acqua Di Gio then turns into a luxury vacation and notes of hyacinth, rosemary, sage and Calone make part of the heart. A spiciness of nutmeg and coriander is tempered by the base of delicious rich resinous cedar, amber, oakmoss and white musk. Acqua Di Gio exudes strength, positivity, energy and confidence. Even though this fragrance is marketed towards men, I know of several women who have clutched this as their signature daily. Acqua Dio Gio 20ml bottle is currently going for $35 on the Giorgio Armani website and would make a great travel and work bottle for on the go. I believe this is a great price to try this iconic fragrance and have actually purchase a larger 200ml bottle that I was able to engrave though Armani. Scent lasts around 5 - 7 hours and anytime someone passes by, they ask what I am wearing. I would recommend this quintessential fragrance to anyone despite its popularity. Acqua Di Gio has been a top seller for over two decades and there is definitely a reason why. If you want to be transported to sunny skies, briny and aromatic fresh citrus oceans, please try this fragrance out. #perfumecollection #perfume #fragrancecollection #armaniacquadigio #hausofdarlingperfumier #voxbox
Timeless, Iconic, A classic masterpiece If you have even a remote interest in Men’s fragrance, you must have heard of it, smelled it and most probably tried it. There is a reason its still one of the best sellers at all retails 27 years after its release and the most sold Men’s fragrance of all time. There is no denying the godly freshness and cleanliness this fragrance has you feeling. That lemon lime neroli blast in the opening is incredibly pleasing. The sea notes, the beautiful freesia, that very subtle woody dry down, it's all blended so well to make the ultimate casual fragrance, and I still get compliments when I wear it. In an era of gourmand and sweet fragrances, ADG still stands the test of time. What exactly makes a fragrance outdated? I still see vintage ... In an era of gourmand and sweet fragrances, ADG still stands the test of time. What exactly makes a fragrance outdated? I still see vintage fragrances as beautiful and with their own personality. I can’t compare it to the older batches since i was not old enough to own it when it came out. I’ve heard that it doesn’t perform as good as it used to but i still smell it 6-7 hours after spraying on me and for a clean aquatic freshie, that’s quite something.
ADG Pour Homme was the first “real” fragrance that I ever became interested in and subsequently wore when I was younger. I’m sure the same can be said for many fragrance enthusiasts; it is one of the most popular men’s fragrances (as well as most sold) of all-time. Today, the performance DOES leave something to be desired. Nevertheless, Pour Homme is still one of my favorite fragrances. It is fresh, light, a tough floral, can be sporty, and evokes nostalgia for anyone who knows it. Not to mention, my wife loves smelling this one one me. Not only will I always have a bottle of this in my collection, but I don’t think I will ever stop truly loving this stuff. I think everyone should at LEAST get their nose on this one, if not have it in their collection?
One of the most popular and iconic men's fragrances of the 20th and 21st century was composed in 1996 by Fifi Award-winning master perfumer Alberto Morillas and ushered in a new age of fresh, aquatic-citrus scents for men. This classic men's cologne opens with brisk, cool calabrian bergamot, green tangerine and neroli, and gradually grows deeper and richer with notes of rose, rosemary, jasmine petal, persimmon, and Indonesian patchouli. Fantastic for spring and summer wear in casual and work settings, this scent is as timeless as a white tee and well worn jeans, and the men who wear it are professional, warm, and friendly.
