After doing research on cookwares, All-Clad was recommended. It looks modern and pretty. Every piece in this set feels very solid and sturdy. They are heavy compared to other pots and pans (and lids) out there. They are also very expensive. However, according to some reviews, while they are very pricey, they lasts for a very long time. I use mine regularly and hoping to have and use them for a long time. One thing. I don’t like about it aside from being expensive, is that food sometimes sticks to the pan. I tried warming it up first then put a bit of oil but food still sticks. Clean up is easy though. And as recommended I use non-abrasive scrub pads. Soaking it warm water helps get rid of anything that’s sticking. After using All-Clad for a while, you can get stains ... MoreAfter doing research on cookwares, All-Clad was recommended. But I wished it would not stain considering the price you pay for these cookwares. All in all, it’s good…better than Teflon or other non-stick coated pots and pans…better for your health!

We bought the All-Clad LTD set with the dark colored exterior about 20 years ago. The inside is still shiny as can be. Never once have we had trouble with food sticking, or with cleaning it. We use baking powder with a tad bit of water and make a paste, to clean the bottom, then we wash with dish soap. In the beginning we did not find the 2qt pot useful. The sides were too high for our liking, so we traded for a 7" fry pan, a 1qt sauce pan with rounded sides, and a small 1qt pot. Our set also came with the nonstick All-Clad frying pan, which I had to use the warranty on twice, and gave up the third time. I wish I could exchange for regular stainless steel. The food seems to get stuck in the texture of the non-stick material and make the whole cooking surface smooth, to the point where everything sticks. It's hard to describe. Overall, this was the best money I ever spent. We very much still enjoy using the cookware. The outside of the pans are stained and have build up from the fire, but I have been doing some research and am going to try something around Thanksgiving. I will let you know if I can get the stains and build up off.

Awful Frying Pans

The frying pans are terrible. After receiving these for our wedding my husband and I watched every tutorial on how to best use these to keep them in good shape long term. Despite this, after the very first time using both of the frying pans, they are completely ruined and look like we've had them for 40 years. I tried to ask for a refund of just these two and was told by All Clad it's not covered under the warranty. So disappointing after choosing these as an investment piece for our future together and we're now going to have to spend money on new pans of all things right after our wedding while we're trying to save for a home.

Best Cookware Set Yet
8 November 2022

We recently got an induction oven and had to get rid of our anodized non-stick cookware as a result. After much research, I decided to get this All-Clad D5 set. I was worried about not having a non-stick set, so I did some homework on All-Clad's website. They have articles and videos about cooking with stainless. The videos are easy to digest and teach you some fundamentals. I have now cooked all kinds of things in my new cookware and I am extremely happy! As long as you heat the pan/pot before adding anything to it, nothing sticks!I had 1 stubborn dish (salmon with the skin on) that left some residue on the pot when I was done. All I had to do was put some water in the pot, heat it up until it was boiling, and everything just came off easily. Great Set For Everyday Cooking
13 January 2023

I decided to upgrade my mismatched pots and pans and wanted something that was easy to clean and cooked well. These are great. Well-made, durable and easy to use. The handles are a bit long but I’m able to work around that. I like these a lot better than any nonstick cookware. If you’re worried about food sticking to these and having to scrub them, don’t be. Make sure your pan is heated up, then add your oil and then your food. You will get some food that sticks but it’s not that hard to get off. A good hot water soak helps and the more you use them the more “seasoned” they become. When all else fails, Barkeeper’s Friend cleanser makes them look new again.

I used the 8 qt stockpot for basic chicken chili. It cooked up beautifully. However, clean-up was a different story. The pot looked terrible even after hand washing and cleaning with baking soda. I then boiled vinegar and water which took care of the swirling but not all of stains; Bon Ami did the trick for that. After close to an hour working with this pot, between the Dawn, baking soda, vinegar/water and Bon Ami, there is still a spot that appears to be a pit or scratch of some sort. Again, this is after ONE USE. I am so disappointed with this All-Clad. My other All-Clad from years past has even gone through the dishwasher and still looks brand new, and yes, I have hard water. Not worth the money
5 June 2023

I was very disappointed in this set. They were big flaws for such a brand name cookware. It was not worth the money, in my opinion. I wish I was able to load the pictures to show you.The smallest pan has a tiny little dimple after I soaked and washed it like I normally do for other pots/pans. I own a Cuisinart cookware set for almost 18 years and after all the washings they still look fine, no dimple or hole formed. The stock pot has a big flaw on the handle. It looks as if the handle was not put in correctly. There was still a little gap between the handle and the pot. Over all I wouldn't recommend this set, unfortunately.

Really Great Heat Conduction

These were a replacement for Calphalon non stick anodized aluminum. We wanted nontoxicoption for cookware. These are great because you use less heat while cooking and the heat is more evenly distributed through the pans. Note to new users turn the heat down a bit or you'll get scorching and smoking until you figure this out. These are cleaned pretty regularly with the recommended bar keepers friend powder, both inside and out, since we use a gas stove. This keeps them looking nice and keeps them nonstick. Very important. Just a nice set to have and not worry about PFOAS, aluminum, and other toxic coatings. We originally bought the 12" fry pan to see if we liked this D5 All Clad material. You just can’t beat All Clas

I have tried them all. Cooking for myself, or a banquet for a 100. I passed my first set of what is now called D3 to one of my sons when he got settled. That was decades ago. I have never lacked for kitchenware. But I did lack a core set of saucepans, stock pots, and skillets. My French copper and enameled cast iron are great, but need care. For everyday I just didn’t have time or energy for that care.. And all the new brands I have tried just didn’t inspire me. This Christmas season, now back at work doing ministry (my actual vocation) I found that I needed sturdy, not too heavy, and dishwasher safe basic cookware. I tried a test run on a couple of sale priced All Clad D5 pieces. I was sold. When the 10 piece set went on sale I ordered it. I am enjoying cooking again, nothing fancy, just simple soups or sautéed meat or fish and streamed veggies. And wonderful for occasional fancy dinners for family and friends . Everything comes out perfectly, and the pots go into the dishwasher, so cleanup is fast and simple. This was an investment, a fancy way of saying that they were not cheap. The super sale price made it possible. And eventually I will pass this set on to children or grandchildren. But meanwhile I am enjoying a little bit of everyday luxury.
